Phone Problem: Has reset
I was using my phone and suddenly it turned off. It turned itself on again and appeared with the screen that appear when you first have the phone, the welcoming. I pass the welcome page, the wifi page and then have to accept the terms and conditions, but it won't let me pass to the next page, it just refreshes. So I am stuck on accepting the terms and conditions page... I have had my phone for a month now and this has never happened! Help!!

If you can get into recovery..try a cache erase then reboot..if that doesnt work..maybe a factory reset will do, also via recovery..if nither corrects your issue..you will need to flash the OS via Odin..in order to have a fresh OS..like from the box..

hi all,
since a day i have an extremely annoying issue with the note3 (sm-9005)
first, when it boots - it takes ca.10 minutes. stuck on the samsung animated logo.
then the black screen appears with the status bar (which i can drag down). normally i should have a lock screen appearing. but it just remains black. and in the status bar i have a message " you can now safely remove sd card" and "tap to enter knox". nothing happens when tapping those two...
can i play back an update from the SD card so that FW renews and i don't have to so factory reset and reinstall everything?
(ps. when connecting phone to a pc it shows no disks inside the phone so that if it still was locked...)
thanks in advance!
What do you mean by an update ???

well same thing as one would do using kies, only somehow without kies. i saw in the recover boot an option "apply update from external storage" and was wondering what file could i use for that?
i have SWC region on my device...
Answer is no via above.
Firmware update is via Kies or Odin .
Alternative is custom rom via custom recovery .

UPD: after some searching i was able to unlock the device through samsung's findmomybile. however, half of the apps are missing, most of the ones which are not missing do not work, etc...
i guess not much left but factory reset. hopefully these are not corrupt internal storage problems.

Did anyone come up with a solution to this other than findmymobile? I have had the same problem with my Note 3, e.g. taking 5-10 mins to load up from power off, the dreaded black screen with the power / wifi / etc icons shown on the top. My Note 3 was password protected as well, meaning I can't get into it even with Kies. I have the latest stock firmware installed.
I hadn't installed any apps to my phone before it died, however I do recall a security update being installed earlier in the day (this looked like an official Android one).
Any ideas? I went along to a Samsung Service Centre for help and they had told me that they had seen at least 5 cases of this on a Note 3 over the last two days.
Security update ??

I did not receive any response from anyone from anywhere. So I tried on myself and started manipulating every corner. I tried bluetooth and I could backup my contacts. It was the first victory.
I restarted into safemode by holding down the Down Volume for about 10 minutes! I wanted to try calling via pc via bluetooth. Just as a blind try. Meanwhile I saw a Knox notofication I had seen before so I just clicked carelessly. Vow!! The Knox Lock Screen was there blinking behind some error messages. I tried my lock pattern but nothing happended. I tried more and more, I was thinking this may corrupt the LCD! because it was blinking and went on off rapidly.
I saw that a counter is reducing. 20 attempts left.. 19 attempt... I worked hard till 4 or 3 then some message popup saying knox may be uninstalled. I said who cares? and went on. finally knox was uninstalled. I continued manipulating other available corners of the Note 3 and after a while I restarted and vow!! It was like back to life!
I came here writing for those who are out there seeking every corner of the web for a liitle bit of information.
I backed up my stuff and did a factory reset. It seems fine now.
I suggest manipulating every possible sequence of events. It will pop up some error and then the answer may rise!
best wishes
in my case i unlocked it with findmymobile, backed up stuff to SD card and did factory reset without much further thinking.
phone works fine until today
Dear Experts,
Yesterday I have received a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 3, with Android 5.0.
I wanted to encrypt the device, didn't do anything else with it, I went straight for the encryption - I charged the battery to 100%, left the phone attached to the charger, set the screen lock and went for the encryption process.
The phone rebooted, showed the picture with percentage. Then it rebooted again, showed the SAMSUNG logo with a few stars flying around it. The LED is blinking blue and it stays like this for an hour or so. Rebooting by taking the battery out causes the same. I have reset the device to factory default settings and retried this 2-3 times, also selecting the fast encryption option, but each time the result is the same.
I have called the Samsung service, but, of course, this was an imported phone, it was honestly quite hard to find it, so they refused to help me, but they were pointing to installing a new software on the phone.
Please kindly advise what to do and which software/ROM would you advise me to put and if there isn't an easier method, because I'm used to Samsung's stuff and I would stay with the current ROM.
Basically, I am looking for the easiest solution to apply encryption.
Many thanks in advance!

okay I've got a moto Z-Force Droid Edition from Verizon. I did an update on the phone and now it's stuck in bootloop. It'll come to the screen that allows me to put in my password for starting Android and then it reboots to start Android and i get to see my background picture and then it reboots again back to the screen where it asks me for my password again like it's being turned on for the first time. I've got pictures and some notes from an app that I use in the phone that I need to get off of it. I do believe the phone came with encryption turned on and I never turned it off.my question is can I simply factory reset the phone and then use a third-party software from a computer to scan the phone and recover my photos and notes, or is the encryption going to prevent that?
hey, when i switch phone off and turn on, and i want unlock my screen doesnt matter set up pattern pin or password, you see in video just black screen and shows the homescreen i never had before like this now, hard reset do, and reinstall firmware . where i reinstalled too many times ... before this happend i installed kika keyboard, and my photo keyboard, i dont know was be like this or not because that time i not rebooted phone and dont see, so i unninstaled yesterday my kika keybord, and my photo keyboard, these keyboards downloaded 1000 millions by other people from gplay. hmm. yesterday i web browsing surf the news, i opened. tv3.lt this is from my language news, so i see bottom appear wants send notifications from web to get news from samsung internet in notification bar. i selected yes. and i see when push up from that site news in status bar. so i think that could be a problem? i clear data web browser, disable notification from sites in samsung internet settings, nothing happened. so this is virus from kika keyboard or my photo keyboard?????? but i do reset full, and reinstall firmware nothing solved. i upload the video.

i had on a5 2017 direct automatically to playstore and want to download the ovulution calendar so , i do factory reset, and never shows again ))

Any?
So, I know this phone is old asf but I can't find any tutorial and I really don't want to flash my phone for the 30th time again.
I just tried installing LastPass Authenticator (for 2FA), and when I launched it my phone just turned off, I tried booting it up and it went past the splash screen to the T-Mobile logo, and after that just shut off.
Now it'll just stay on the Splash screen for a bit, it won't even get to the "Samsung" animation, and just shuts off. It was stock ROM as well as stock recovery as well.
Don't know why this is happening, but its the second time something similar has happened. I really don't want to reset the phone due to the data I have on here, so any help is appreciated.
