Help! Video on my snapchat not working.
Hi, Everyone I'm not sure if this the right forum to ask for help, but I've been googling this problem like crazy over the past few days and I cant seem to find the answer. Bear in mind, I'm a bit of a noob.
So I've got the Note 3 (N90005), and running on 4.3, rooted with towel root. I'm running the latest version of snapchat, and taking pictures, watching videos on snapchat works fine. However for some reason, EVERYTIME I try to upload a video snapchat it crashes! The program just closes without warning. I've made sure I have enough space on my phone, and video uploads work fine with instagram.
I'm just not sure what's going on with snapchat.
The only thing I havent tried is upgrading to kitkat or lollipop. But I've already rooted my phone, and I'm a bit hesistant to go through the hassle of unrooting just to upgrade. But I really want to resolve this issue, so if you think that's what I should do, I'll do it. But wondering if there was a possible alternative?

Bump. I'm getting it too. Using Note 3, android 4.3, rooted. Snapchat has had many updates since the first post, and the issue is still present. No idea what causes it. Help would really be appreciated. Thanks!
The easiest way to fix this issue is to upgrade to either KitKat or Lollipop. Also you can't record videos on kitkat or jellybean with Snapchat, that is the reason why it is crashing. You need lollipop to record with Snapchat.

I'm not sure if this is a well known problem or if it's just me, but it seems there is a problem with snapchat (the camera) when running AOSP-roms on the LG G2 (D802). I've encountered this problem using both PA and CM.
When using snapchat and pressing the "change camera"-button to use the rear camera, the app freezes and I have to force close it. Then, when I open Snapchat again it shows the error message "Unable to connect to camera". When trying to open the camera application it shows the same error message. A reboot seems to fix the problem, but it doesn't take long before I get the same error message.
Is there any solution to this? I'm a little tired of rebooting my device 20-30 times a day. There is no problem on stock firmware, but I really want to use AOSP
I have the same issue on the VS980 and so far havent found a solution and its driving me nuts. Im not real sure how the app itself works but ive wondered if installing a different camera like the lenovo super camera or something along those lines would make any sort of difference, or if its just the app itself. With some searching i read something about google and snapchat knowing of the issue and that it was suppose to be taken care of in one of the 4.4.x updates but it doesnt seem like it
Having the same problem, snapchat will tell me to reboot but I sometimes I can just open the camera app, let it settle and flip the camera back and forth a few times, and then snapchat will magically work again.. still very annoying as I use snapchat a lot

I have a note 3 LTE international on stock 4.4.2 rooted. Whenever I open the camera app it freezes, I can see the camera itself working but the app is not responsive, I can't click on anything to take a picture or record a video unless I turn on voice control, it is the only way to take pictures.
Besides that 3rd party camera apps are working fine.
Can someone please help?

I reinstalled the firmware and the problem seemed to be solved, but after rooting and granting root to all of my apps the problem came back, which app do you think can cause this? Thanks.
Hi guys,
For about 9 months now, I haven't been able to send videos on Snapchat. It records the video, but when I go to send to someone, or put it on my story, it crashes.
I've had multiple Snapchat updates since then, uninstalled/reinstalled several times and a couple days ago I updated to the newest version and also have SNAPPREFS (latest version) but it still happens.
Any idea why this would be? Anything else I could try? I'm running Android version 4.3

I can confirm this , and it affect Samsung S7 edge , i cant only send video within snapchat on Touchwiz based ROM . . AOSP rom all do the same , can record watch then and then send .. does just never send..(load.. foerever then fail)
I'm struggling as well. Aosp nougat galaxy s7... Can only send videos that are 2 seconds or less
Hey guys i just wanted to share a problem i have with nougat.
I had it when i was using it stock then i rooted i flashed a custom kernel i did a factory reset but it still remains.
My friend also has the same problem abd he is completely stock.
Now to get to the point after using my phone for a few hours sometimes even lesz all notification sounds alarms ringtones etc. just stop and when i open youtube i cant play any video.Same goes for videos from browser.
Even spotify doesnt play the songs
Have any of you experienxed this and if you have do you have a solution for it?

Did you ever figure it out? My phone just upgraded to Nougat a few days ago and I'm experiencing the same thing. The only way I can fix it temporarily is to reboot my phone.

Anyone else having snapchat issues? Seems to be extremely slow when logging in and then crashes when it gets to the camera.
Just checked it on china version on 17S shop rom, and it seems ok. Only took a picture on it though, I'm not a Snapchat user.
Could someone check with the US version? Or confirm that it's working for them. Maybe I need a factory reset. Not only is snapchat extremely laggy, but the OS becomes unusable anytime I start snapchat. I have to restart the phone to stop the lag.
