Yeah ok no worries, just hoping there is a fix for the sticky slide to unlock issue which is driving me nuts !!

hey steve im new to the dell streak i was with the hd2 android how thing and just got the phone
today it has 2.1 on it and im trying to get 2.2 but scared to brick my phone can you give me
a quick little guid on whats the first step then what ever else i need to do please pleas
o and one more thing it seems like all i have is edge it stays on the E symble for ever never changes any help?

2.1 was released only for UK devices on the O2 network! If yours id really an O2 device I don't think that you will ever get 3G in the US! Hope that I'm wrong but....
What about front facing camera for video calls like fring?

Purchased my Dell Streak Cherry Red through Retail in the Netherlands, GAUSB1A121100-EU and runs firmware 2.1-update1, build 10350 out of the box.
It sucks that there is no official Froyo 2.2 for GAUSB1A121100-EU
Have you tried downloading the 309 or 315 package?.

I got mine through buymobilephones.net with orange, it came with 2.1-update 1 build 10350. I updated no problems to the first official 2.2 build and then the second. I get 3g and hsdpa with orange, but no data signal at all when I put an o2 sim in.

I am wondering the same because I am running 30500 also
I thought i did everything to the letter as far as the upgrade progression.
Capped it off with the 720p fix and everything works but i noticed im behind on baseband version.
if you or anyone else can shed light on this please post it here.

Found out that you can upgrade to 30900 from 30500 using the amss.mbn file for it. Someone is uploaded it for me now so as soon as I get the link, ill post it for ya
So I bought a Quantum but the people on ebay said it dosent work

It all depends on what carrier you'll be using it for. If you're using something like Bell, from other threads you should be okay.
