GPS don't tested. Init support don't added.
the rom seems functional, but i cant play any video on facebook.
Have you tried this ROM to be installed via RECOVERY instead of flashing it with flashtools????

Just bought this phone, seems pretty good Nice to see there's some AOSP development... Do you know if there will be CM12.1 (or CM13) builds? Does AOSP helps CM or are they unrelated?
Afaik there's no CM13 ROM yet. Concerning your second question, you should google the meaning of AOSP I guess.

On the CM about page they say CM is "Based on the Android Open Source Project". Since "based on" could mean that they did huge changes or that they did small easy to adapt changes, my question was if this work would help a developer grab this and port CM12.1 to the Elephone

Sure, but I wouldn't expect MTK to publish their sources soon, and without that there will hardly be a Custom Marshmallow ROM for this phone, I guess. So we should rather hope for a Stock Marshmallow ROM, although this would surprise me imho.

I created this for firmware developers, It is for forking stock firmware such as MIUI.
If people choose to use this to port MIUI I obviously cannot stop them, but blah blah, beta software, blah.
This firmware uses the structure everyone loved in KitKat; I will not force anyone to deal with the .dat nonsense that we've all come to know and hate.
The codebase aligns very closely to what Xiaomi uses, and this code-base also aligns with many other vendor firmware.

It's pure AOSP, and yes it's good to work on any device that idents as Cancro
It is designed specifically for use with porting firmware, recovery has been modded in source to allow for this more easily as well.
It is easy to build either CAF or deCAF firmware in this build engine, I designed it to be very easy like CyanogenMod and it does accept CM configs.
HOWEVER IT IS AOSP AND NOT SLIMROM OR CYANOGEN I can't stress this enough, It is AOSP

camera quality, HDR?
hdr bug is still present, hdr mode click complete dark pictures, normal mode quality is fine. Can u manage to focus on camera quality .otherwise rom is good ,still haven't tested full

Yes, my build engine is really huge and has multiple GCC forks depending on the firmware used :<
Neat clean stock ROM. Though meant to for porting and etc stuff. But as a user I like it, it's smoooth.
Everything is great except some minor stuff eg: long Wi-Fi turning on time, WCDMA Only mode reset after reboot, CPU frequency control not working proper with stock kernel.
These are minor stuff and I'm not complaining neither asking you to do anything about it.
PS if anybody has a solution for 3G Only reset would be glad.
Hope I can see a 6.0 ROM by you soon
Also, there's a lag between screen and capacitive keys becoming inactive.. say if I turn off screen and the very next second I touch capacitive keys the screen wakes up.

Let devs do their work
My guess is that CM is gona take more than a few days to be useable. Porting without kernel source is a nightmare..

wow this rom is just what i was looking for everything work great without issues (expect camera ofc) and i even get higher antutu score and everything feels smoother
i hope the devs will fix the camera issue than ill surely stay on this rom.

Sure but there is not any original tread of it.
My review of this rom
1. Boots pretty fast
2. UI is smooth and fluid
3. VOLTE works out of the box. It doesn't show VOLTE icon but it works
3 There is no fingerprint support. Doesn't even show fingerprint in settings (i have FPC)
4. Camera works for pics but video recording doesn't work. Shows error camera not found when you try to record. I didn't try 3rd party apps.
5. No sound in calls
6. Most stuffs are in chinese. left panel on homescreen is entirely in chinese
7 No gesture support
I tried flashing agni kernal but found same issues.
Volte not work in my case.
At first boot it works but after reboot it doesn't work.

4.Third party camera work perfect
5.Calling work perfectly for me
6.Rom is chaina beta so most things are in Chinese

Better thing is wait till end of july as Mi Max is getting global miui10 by end of july so we can get global port which might have no or less bugs and can be use as daily driver.

2. What are differences between this rom and other similar roms such as ProjectElixir or AOSPExtended?
3. I have problems with my bluetooth earbud live (samsung) having lead or lag on its voice with respect the screen when I play video on ProjectElixir (v 1.7). Is there a chance that this rom has'nt this problem?

See it's different for every users its depends on various state of your handware and kernals

You have to unlock it in very specific way, by double tapping fingerprint sensor. If that doesn't work you can use extra dim feature.

Thanks. However this custom ROM replaced the twrp recovery on my device to pixel experience recovery. Please how do I flash twrp recovery back?

You shouldn't press your finger hard against the fingerprint sensor like on stock ROM. What I usually do is, I just place my finger lightly on the sensor and it unlocks.

I don't think there's a twrp recovery that works on pixel experience. Use the pixel experience recovery to flash zips.
