What version of play services comes with the S6 Edge +? (I'm in the UK if that makes a difference).
Installed an updated version stupidly and it seems it was the wrong one - i'd preferably like to sort this out without resetting my phone
You should be able to un-install updates via application manager then let it update to the proper version from the play store.

For those of us that are on "unique carriers" you may have noticed that your google maps gets stuck at version 5.0.0 and you can't find it on the market.
I have confirmed (via the web market) that google maps isn't supposed to be compatible with my carrier. The solution? I deleted the google maps .apk and rebooted, installed marketenabler, chose tmobile us and there it was on the phone's market ready to install
I think gmail also has this issue, but it is being included in some roms.
I just updated to Lollipop yesterday, and my phone has been having issues with Google Play Services since then. Once the phone had updated, I got notifications saying that it needed to be updated. I started the update and then the phone froze and restarted.
I currently have Google Play Services 6.6.03 (1681564-876) on my phone - but I don't think this is good for Lollipop. No apps that require play services will work, and the battery is draining very quickly. Anyone know how to uninstall this version and install the proper one (whichever that may be)? I don't have this phone rooted. When I try to change any settings with the app, it says that it does not have permission to do so - meaning I can't deactivate or uninstall updates.
Any help would be great!

Just an FYI I had some problems with the google play service crashing after the update to 5.0. I fixed it by installing the google play service from here.

I used the "320 DPI, armeabi-v7a CPU & Android" version if that helps.
Good luck.

I gave it a shot, but it wouldn't work. It just says app did not install when I try. I tried using the link from apk mirror, but it was the same version that you recommended.
I assume you have enable unknown sources in settings?
Yeah, I've had them enabled.
Clear cache for Google Play Store and Google Play Services. Reboot then follow the prompt to update again. Worked for me yesterday.
Hello I am new there, I've bought an s4 i9515 value edition running stock 5.0.1
I already rooted using king root and immediately freezed Google play services cause I do not use or need it. The problem is that play store does not open without play services activated. So I deleted play store with king root from system in attempt to install latest version in hope to run without Pservices. Right when I tap to install a downloaded play store it shows that the store I deleted is still there so I have the option to upgrade. Right now I can open the store but I cannot download anything cause it stops working.
Is there any way to delete the stock store entirely from the system? I have used an root explorer and play store is not found on system/apps. Can any of you please give me a solution to be able to reistall a proper functioning play store? Thank you. (I intend also to be able to use any store without having to activate play services which drains battery power.)
You can't use the play store without the play services. So you can scrap that idea right away.
On my previous android 4.2.1 phone i was able to use play store with play services disabled and i have not even updated the services. Anyway i think i will keep 1mobile store as default so i deleted any google service from stock system. Anyway i have not even installed gapps on actual rom. Screw these 'services'.

Hi,
i'm running CM13 on jfltexx and wanted to try android auto and store lists it as incompatible. Is it better with Lineage14? Or how to get it?
If it's not a paid app, you can try downloading it from another web store or some website.
So how can I make it work with updates etc. Why it is behaving like it is incompatible?
I don't know. Maybe it's not available in your country or something.
As for the updates, I think it should be recognized by the store once installed and update normally. Otherwise you will have to check for updates regularly and manually download and install said update.
If you're using browser to access the play store page of the app, it would say incompatible with all your devices, so log in and add it to wish list through the browser and from the play store you can access the wish list and see why you can't download the app, some browsers redirects you automatically to the play store, for me it says "not available in your country", however the app requires android 5.0 or higher and it's compatible with nogut as mentioned in the app description.
In play store on cell phone it tell me that is not available for my country and when i downloaded apk from apk central it tells me that is not compatible with my phone when i try to install it.
Still did not get it to work, but at least it made me update to android 7 (lineage 14.1).
I don't understand country lock when android auto cars are sold in Czech and i guess even aftermarket head units with AA.
Hi,
I have a Nexus 7 (2012) wifi-only model and want to install printoid (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.yochi76.printoid.phones.trial) on it. But the Google play store keeps telling me my device isn't compatible... I don't understand why.
I have an even older tablet (galaxy tab 1 7") where its working without issues, a bit slow though. And I know the developer of the application also has the same Nexus model and can install it without any problems. I installed the APK by sideloading it, runs without any problems, just can't download it from the store.
Some facts
Google Play services = version 11.7.44
Google Play store = version 8.4.18.V-all
Tried Android 5.1.1 (XenonHD ROM) and my device is rooted
Tried the stock rom 5.1.1, even un-rooted and locked it
Tried lineageOS 7.1
What could be causing this?
Probably the developer himself has forbidden the installation of the application on this device. Either in the application manifest contains the necessary (not optional) permissions, because of which the device was automatically excluded from the list of devices. I also from time to time come across applications (even from Google) that can not be installed with Google Play. But nevertheless, they work fine if you manually install the apk.
Just use https://apkpure.com/ for such cases.
Thanks @gmikhail, didnt know the apkpure site, handy. I had contact with the developer and he has the same device. He can install without any problems, which makes it even more strange.
Rather use it from the play store, makes updating easier.
@nosmo-king The app is not available for me too. So the problem is exactly on the developer's side. Let it go to the device list and manually recheck device.
In Google Play Console -> Select app -> Release Management -> Device Catalog -> Find Nexus 7 2012. There should be written why the device is not supported.
PS: apkpure supports auto-update.
Good to know I am not the only one, thanks for checking.
I replied to the developer, I hope he can do something...
Good to know about apkpure, unfortunately the PRO version is not available. Probably because its not free
