Allmost no manual settings in camera? Really?! - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
i just bought Note 4 (N910F) and i find really disturbing, that it has almost nothing manual in camera app. no manual focus, no shutter speed, no mettering separation. I had these in my old Nubia Z5S Mini, Lg G2 and Meizu MX4, that costs 1/3 of the SamsungĀ“s price. Is there a ROM or XPosed mod, that can add at least some of this fancy (and mostly very enjoyable) functions? Thanks!

The thing are importent to me is:
1.faster and powerfull phone (for games, emails, whatsapp, internet, apps).
2.Amazing camera.
3.Good battery.
4.A phone that will not "stock" in the future (i can change roms and more).
5.A good screen.
You need to get booth of them
meizu 4 5.36 inch, camera 2.0MP 20.7MP ,1920x1152,3100mAh
oneplus 5.5 inch camera 5.0 MP 13.0MP 1920x1080 ,3100mAh
I prefer to the meizu 4

The battery of meizu mx 4 is not good. So I still prefer OPO.
i had the oneplus one and now i have the mx4
opo has a lot of problems ( search google ) touch screen wont work properly ,sometimes i had those ghost touches and a lot of touch issues ,microphone stopped working suddenly ...
the big problem is the support of this company ,in one word ,a big joke , just bought the mx4 with 2 years warrant in my local country, not as fast as the opo but perfect touch screen and a lot of nice features , im very pleased with it more then the opo
Hello maybe i can give some feedback, i actually used an Oneplus One for over 3 months and then switched to meizu, i didnt experience any issues with my oneplus one unit, now yellow band nothing stupid ~
i switched to the mx4 for the following reasons, for my hands the oneplus one wasnt as comfortable to hold due to how the phone is build up, the rouned design of the meizu is way better for me to hold in one hand and do something on the go ~
camera hands down i always thought the oneplus one takes descent shots untill i got my mx4..really compared to the mx4 pictures the oens of the oneplus just look washed out noisy and lack detail (they are still good but just way worse if you compare it to the mx4)
i also prefer the mx4 deisgn..performance wise they are equal..i dont see any difference even tho i score 51k in antutu while i had "only" 46k with my oneplus one, same antutu version
the only downside for me is the battery life, i get easily through the day with my mx4 but i would say i had around 20% more battery with the oneplus one
but as long i get through the day i'm fine, i would never switch my mx4 for a oneplus one.
Yeah I have an MX4 and the camera is probably the best I have ever experienced on a mobile phone and I'm just not saying that. Amazing detail in the pictures, good colors and many options to get the shot you want. Only thing I miss is image stabilization.
I consider buying the MX4. The only thing that bothers me is the software. Will there be the official CyanogenMod support? Or can we expect an upgrade of their OS to Lollipop?
What also bothers me is that there is no subforum here on XDA. Why is that? Is there really no custom software for this phone?

I don't know about Cyanogen but Lollipop is confirmed for the MX4 but I don't know when it will be released. Basically there is no development for the phone. But I like the stock software personally. One of the reasons I bought the phone.

Feature Request [S6 Camera Port]

I really would love to see S6 camera port, UI is much less cluttered and auto HDR is very handy (as well as on front camera). Plus pro mode that let's you use adjust white balance, focus, exposure etc.
There is already some work started by user "aurora" for galaxy S4
Here is the topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/themes-apps/s6-camera-ported-aurora-t3094357
Tried to Flash it on N910C obviously it's not working...
So what do you guys think ?

Q/Samsung Galaxy Note 3//Replace Camera Sensor w/ S6, Note 4 or LG G4's Sensor + OIS

Hi, everyone.
The Note 3's camera is fine, everybody knows.
Even the Note 2's Camera is still OK for today.
Before reading my question (which is already mentioned in title),
Please don't blame me for that question.
There are so many people in the world, so maybe one of them asks for a Guide, which might is senseless for you, so don't blame me for that.

You know, i like the Galaxy Note 3, because it's one of the three Jelly Bean Flagship-Smartphones in the World with 4K-Video and Smooth Motion Recording and still suitable for today.
Galaxy Note 3 (Jelly Bean+TouchWiz UI)
Oppo Find 7 (HD Image; 1440p Screen; Ultra-Fast Charging)
Oppo Find 7a (No KitKat-Upgrade)
Why i don't like the newer Android-Versions:
Android KitKat: Very Bogus (Data-Loss Bug, deletion of app data at app uninstallation or deinstallation. Many Software Bugs + restriction etc. )
Android Lollipop: Ugly User Interface - and you can't set the UI Back.
I'm very satisfied with the Note 3's Camera, but i think, that every phone needs an OIS today, for Compensation of the bad low-light performance. Especially those 20.7 Megapixel Phones like HTC One M9.
The Note 3's low-light performance is bad because:
Small Pixels (not as small as Xperia Z) on Camera Sensor
No Optical Image Stabilisation
Three Phones with Brilliant Cameras are:
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (It's a Note Smartphone)
Samsung Galaxy S6 (High Colour Quality)
LG G4 (my favourite Phone Camera) (Best Dynamic Range+Focus Speed)
So is there a way, to replace the Note 3's Camera Sensor with the Sensor of one of those 3 Phones? (Preferred: LG G4)
You can't build Laser-AF into the Note 3 so easily, but i just like to get the Sensor and the OIS into it, to make the Low-Light Performance better.
Camera-app:
I'd like to keep the Native Camera-App UI from the Galaxy Note 3 (as known from the S4-Models), but i'd like to have:
16 Megapixels in Resolution chooser
1440p Video Recording (FHD, Smooth Motion and 4K is already there)
If Possible: Real-Time Slow Motion (HFR)-Video Recording.

Best camera for redmi 3 pro

Hi,
I have a redmi 3 pro( 3gb, octacore) I always thought the camera was pretty poor, until recently deciding to turn on, HDR mode. These took a brilliant pic, but only in really great lighting.
My questions are, firstly, which is the best camera app to use with this phone
and also, is there anyway i can get the phones torch and HDR mode to use simultaneously?
Many thanks

Redmi Note 7 vs LG V20 camera.

I am not really impressed with the LG v20 and am considering selling it to get the Redmi Note 7. How do the cameras compare? Is there a wide angle?
I just change my v20 for the redmi note 7 (I lost all data connection after update to oreo), I liked a lot of things from the note 7, specially the battery. But some times I miss the Camera of the v20
Only camparing the stock camera I think the note 7 is better. The front camera is way better, but is nice to have a wide angle front camera with the v20. Using the gcam the v20 is better, but you don't get night sight unless you update to oreo.
Also having the wide angle is great, and the front camera with gcam is very usable. Sadly no wide camera on the note 7.
If you want to record something the v20 is better option in my opinion, the audio quality is way better, but it isn't that bad on the redmi.
Overall I liked more the xiaomi, but almost exclusively for the battery life, I get a full day of medium use (I don't play on phones).
Hope it helps.

Yea, love wide angle and the audio is nothing short of amazing with how you can adjust direction the mics record from.
I am thinking if I get an N7 I'll use the Gcam mod. It blows the Note 7 Pro camera out of the water and also shames the stock N7 camera. Watched a few comparison vids and I was pretty impressed.
