Mi2S - Problem with new screen - Xiaomi Mi 2

Hey guys,
yesterday i changed the screen and digitizer of my Mi2S. Now, when i switch the phone - with new screen - on, the screen is just lightning blue (you can see it on the attached picture). Now i saw that on the Flex Cable of the original screen, there's written B04 and on the new screen there's a B01 instead. So, i think i have now a different version of the screen and not having the drivers for that. So, does anybody (maybe developers) know how to flash others drivers and where to get them from?
Thx already ahead for any help.

Are you sure you connected both flex cables correctly?
From your picture I would think only the backlight is on and the screen itself is not active...
Would be my first guess...
(I have a Xiaomi Mi2s and did the swap myself, I didn't have any problems... + even if there are different screens, the SW should cater for it, otherwise we would have a different SW build for every screentype used...)

Hi, i send it to a professional repair center and they said that there was a small water damage (from wherever!?). As i now found a pretty ok priced Mi2S (where the camera flex cable is damaged) on Ebay, i'll just insert the camera of my old one into the "new" Mi2S and sell the Display i bought for my old one. Problem solved!
But thanks for the reply anyway!

Hello just for information,
I broke my trinity screen and I baught a new screen to a HK seller and i replace it.
I had already flash the firmware (faman 3.6 full) before changing the screen.
So everything seems ok when I put the phone power on but As soon as I put the creen off, I am unable to put it on it appears every time in a complete white screen !!!! to have something on the screen I have to reboot the phone.
I just reflash the phone again with faman 3.6 and it's still the thame problem completly white after turn the screen off then on ...
I try also an official orange WM5 (gps active) and the screen work's well i try after to switch again in WM6 and it doest work :white screen again ...
Can every one help me ?
@ Rich: Check the 'How to dissamble the Trinity' thread. Are your sure that the LCD is broken ? Could also be just the digitizer (USD 8 at cnn.cn.shop).
If you succeed to dissamble the display you should be able to attach a new digitizer.
The only problem are the two black levers ... (one for the display cable, one for the digitizer).
Good luck

I cracked my Trinity screen with a bad golf swing. Then I bought a replacement screen on ebay, found a disasembly guide, took my trinity apart, replaced the screen, put everything back together, and it works fine! cost me 70 EUR to fix it.
do it following the disassembly guide - taking the trinity apart is rather complicated, you will not figure it out by yourself.
Sometimes I wonder what the engineers drink before designing such complex assemblies!

White screen, back light off,... repaired

Dear friends
After opening my Hermes a few times I encountered the white screen, I disassembled and assembled again, the display was completely off. I thought the flex cable could be wrong. So, at first I tried to use a soldering gun to seal all solderings (Photo 1). This time the phone showed a part of display. Because, the symptom was not the same, I guest contact between the flex cable and the mainboard had problem. I used point of a knife (make it blunt first) move down to push contacts out (Photo 2). Then I assembled my phone, everything returned normal. (9h in the morning to 11h in evening to make my heart cheerful again ).
I write my experience here for someone who open their phone and encounter the symptom like me.
Good luck.
Sadly didn't work for me. Stil no backlight!

I had a problem with no backlight but fixed it when I replaced the flywheel. I was trying to update a replacement jasjam I'd bought off of ebay but when I replaced the new flywheel with the old the backlight wasn't displayed so I tried the old motherboard with the new flywheel and the backlight was on. I don't know how it affects the backlight but it did. If you can get your hands on a cheap bung phone or have a REALLY trusting friend then try that.
Cheers...

Sorry mate, what do you mean with the flywheel? English is not my mother language and what I have found in the net for that word does not mean anything to me. Can you provide me with a better explanation? I do have the same problem as the guy which writes above you.
Cheers
The little wheel on the side of the Hermes. I replaced the board That has it on it and it fixed the backlight issue.

Dropped my Wizard - White screen

Hi to everyone.
I dropped my wizard and lcd broke so I bought a new one and put it on. The problem is that although it takes phone calls and it syncs to pc, the screen is always white with nothing written..only a white screen. I do not know whether another problem occured besides the broken lcd. I tried to disassemble and reassemble it again but with no success. Any help please?
Hi, If my understanding is correct there are 2 versions of LCD for the Wizard. Are you sure that you have the right one? I'm sorry that I am unable to offer any further advice except to say that if the phone 'phones' and 'syncs' the basics must be working. Also the white screen means that the backlight is working - the problem is the LCD drive. Perhaps worth checking with your replacement supplier that they sent you the correct part?
Good luck!

Touchscreen is not working any more

Today, when I was switched on my Nike and tried to write my SIM cards password, I realised that touchscreen is not working. I tried to press various places of the screen but with no luck I made some reboots but again the same luck... so propably is not software problem. It's very difficult to use it only with it's keyboard and it looses its usability :S Is there anything I can do to fix it up???
Recently I came onto the same problem, at first the screen didn't work and then the screen just became black.
I opened up the phone and saw the flex cable had been scratched, so I bought a new one at ebay, replaced the old one, and wolah... worked like charm. Got my old phone back, installed a new 6.5.3 ROM and I'm LUVIN my "old" HTC.
Search for HTC TOUCH DUAL NEON 300 FLEX CABLE REPAIR LCD SCREEN US
I bought mine in Iceland, (Europe) but I think that all the flex cables are the same in all versions of the phone.
Thank you for your advice
Thank you for your advice,
I didn't manage to change the flex cable yet, because the touchscreen started to response again, but just for 3 hours... Now it does not response again. The screen now displays everything fine, but if I touch nothing happens. I can only use it by the keyboard. I heard that in most chases, scratched flex cable turns screen white or black, it doesn't affects the touch(screen). But I'll give it a go

[Q] Need help troubleshooting touch issue; related to hardware replacements

Hello, I recently attempted to replace the USB flex cable on my D800, because the original touch screen turned on, but the touch was inaccurate and had dead zones. I would touch one place on the lock screen, but the circle would appear in a different area instead. (The top half of the screen was pretty accurate, but lost accuracy from the middle and down.)
So, I ordered another flex cable for the D800, same as the original (labeling and everything). However, the new flex cable wouldn't register any touches at all. The display would turn on, but no touch. So I reinstalled the old flex cable and the touch worked, just not correctly. Faulty new cable?
Anyway, at that point I thought, hey, maybe it's the digitizer, so I got a new LCD+Digitizer assembly for $44. I installed it and it turns on fine, but still has touch issues with the original flex cable, and no touch on the new flex cable.
So... does this just mean that both of my flex cables are faulty? Or is it something else? Because it's definitely not the digitizer.
Extra info:
1. I factory reset the phone several times but no improvement, so I don't think it's a software issue.
2. I bought the phone second hand for $80; needed a battery replacement, because the screen wouldn't turn on and had a blinking red light.
3. Oddly enough, the battery that was inside it when I bought the phone was manufactured in 2014, even though the phone itself was used and fairly old, so I assume the original owner had opened it once before.
4. Looking at all the parts inside the phone, they're clearly labeled as D800/801. However, I managed to get through the settings to hardware info and it says the model is LG-D802T (Australian model?). I don't know what's going on.... ugh
same problem ... with no fix yet
