What do you think?
What a coincidence! I came across this watch for the first time today and found this thread when I started browsing about it.
It looks like a nice watch for only $29! I am really considering jumping in on the pre-sale...
Have you found any other info about it or "real-life" pictures?
Anyway, here is the manufacturers own productpage: http://ulefone.com/products/uwear/features.html
And the Gearbest productpage: http://www.gearbest.com/smart-watches/pp_225970.html
The pre-sale lasts untill 09/30 so I expect that reviews will pop up around that time.
The price has temporarily dropped to $23 at Gearbest:
http://www.gearbest.com/smart-watches/pp_225970.html
At the moment there are still 63 pieces left.
I just ordered one over at everbuying. With the points and crap i had from ptevious purchases i got it for 18 usd. Couldnt resist at that price even tough i have another chinese smartwatch on the way.
Great! Let us know what you think about it when you get it!

Absolutely. However it wont even be shipped until ist launched on the 30th, and then four-five weeks until it arrives. My packages always have to take a detour to greece for some strange reason...
check their Facebook page....today they have uploaded video of this Smartwatch
where is it?
I think its this one.
http://blog.ulefone.com/video-full-preview-of-ulefone-uwear-the-bluetooth-smartwatch/
disappointing UI
Mhh.... Wish I had seen that video before ordering. Payed 23usd,didn't expect much but the UI is embarrassing (suppose that's why they tried to focus on other things in the video.... and that's why there aren't any real-life pictures or videos beside that. At least I haven't seen other).
It would be embarrassing for me to go out with that on my wrist. That's not a smart watch, that's a crappy dumband with a screen made to look like a watch(the apple watch). The market is full of crap like that selling for ~ same price, offering same functions. Nothing new under the sun.
Not really a fan of pre-sale but the low price got me this time.
Shipping starts after sep 30 and will probably arrive at the end of next month....not a problem after seeing the video.
Dont think it that horrible really. Its 23 bucks. I got mine for 18. You cant have everything. This will be fine for me to wear at work with all the chemicals and ****. Its gonna break anyway better this than the 200 dollar moto 360 i'm looking at.
I'm more annoyed by the ****ty screen. They could've at least managed a 240x240 like the GT08, and that isnt much more expensive.
Haha, there were so many bad comments about the UI that Ulefone blocked commenting on their youtube video...
without notifications for ios [emoji35]

Well, to tell you the truth I was more angry with myself for buying something without seeing at least one real life video & generally falling for such a cheap marketing campaign(I have to admit that the ulefone/gearbest/everbuying campaign was quite impressive in terms of "quantity")
When I said "embarrassing" that also included the ****ty screen.
Anyway, everbuying agreed to cancel my order/full refund.
I got the uwear yesterday. It is actually very Nice and it works .
For the that price it is amazing.
I ll test more of it this week and report back.

Is the screen that bad?

Hi. U get notifications of SMS, WhatsApp, gmail, Facebook. I don't have exchange email, but I am sure it will put it through. But, you get only name and title of message, not the entire message. Only for SMS you get the entire message.
The app, fundo companion(registers health information, and needs Chinese registration...), is still in beta, and has bugs. So I removed it. Now i only use BT notifier.
Funny gadget, battery lasts a few hours, and I will not get used to talk to my watch

Hi all,
Found this smartwatch and it looks pretty nice: *cant post links!* website is mimi-hk. The watch is the MI W3 smartwatch.
This is an update of a watch I can't find much info on, the MI-W2 watch, or the Podoor PW305 (which was updated also to the PW305 II) so if anyone has used them please rate!
It is not Android based, but that doesn't bother me. Android smartwatches run out of power too quickly and obviously I'm going cheap here. It seems it can be used for at least a good few days. The watch face is listed as translucent stays on all the time, which is key for me as I don't see the point in having a smart WATCH that is so smart it doesn't show me the time! Amongst the features, it also has things like: Backlight when you lift your wrist. Apparently IP67 waterproof. Answer calls. Reject calls. Read messages. Send messages (though this is pointless on a small screen). Metal body. Leather strap. It's actually a watch.
I have contacted mimi-hk and they will sell the W3 for £63.48, $102 ($90 + $12 delivery).
Everbuying sell the watch for $88.27 delivered, (£56.87) Has anyone used everbuying before? Would anyone recommend them, or recommend staying away!?
I think this watch looks decent, has all the features I'd need on a companion watch and is a decent price. Does anyone see why I shouldn't go for it?
Thanks!
Its bluetooth is 3.0 nor 4.0... This bluetooth is not energy eficient so battery life has not to be so good

Hi Stu,
I have seen this watch but also could not find any info on it! For info, link is here: www.everbuying.com/product609837.html
Looks like a good watch, if the battery can hold up!
Oh sweet, thanks for posting the link. Yeah battery life is a concern, but are there any cheap watches that have 4.0? I'm not really interested in spending more.
Also, Negriton, do you have any alternatives you might suggest, with Bluetooth 4.0?
I have purchased twice from Everbuying and it was a bad experience both times.
The last time I had to file a claim with Paypal and it took 6 weeks to get a refund.
They offered a " partial" refund... yea right.... Paypal agreed with me and I eventualy got a forced refund. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

Thanks! Not what I wanted to hear as there is also 8% off at everbuying at the moment, but the right info none the less :good:
Guess if I do go for it, I'll spend the extra £15 and get it from the manufacturer!

Awesome stuff! I almost bought the Star Kingleton watch from your review, saw a note on the PW305 then a string of research followed, leading to the W3!
I also found the W2 on a website called Joe's Tech Review, he's supposed to be getting it and doing a review soon too.
I'm mostly interested to find out what this 'translucent' screen is all about.
At £63 it's almost worth the risk (not got heaps of cash here) and I'm getting impatient, good to know people will be reviewing soon!

Hi,
Where did you buy it? I tried to contact Anna at mimi-hk but she told me the shipment fee was 100$.
MI W3 review By JTR1NING
I'm Happy to say that the Mi W3 from MIMI-HK.com has complied with all of its hype. Right out of the box I had a Premium detachable/interchangeable leather band and a alloyed/plastic waterproof smartwatch body. The design isn't as streamlined as the MI W2.It has more of a unisexed square digital look . In the boxes second compartment is the dual USB adaptor and Cable. Then at the very bottom of the box is the users manual that has been created with very detailed photos...even in the chinese writing a person can understand the directions. The Mi w2 feels a little heavier due to the thicker alloy on the front. The MiW3's Front alloy plate is thinner because it serves a Medical apparatus purpose...it, with the assistance of the metal plate on the rear, READS AND MONITORS THE USERS HEART RATE. This was a factor for the new smartwatches to implement. Most of the functions and layout is almost identical to MIW2. The added icons to the menu scroll is the Heart Rate Icon and the (APP) Icon. The gesture protocols are different. The way it is implemented on the MIW3 is as follows.... Goto, then press the Application (app) icon . Locate the Gesture Bright Screen menu..there you will see a new format of adjustable scrolling numbers... (01 to 23) on the left and (1 to 23) on the right. This is the 24hr/military time format. Setting this will make your watch go in total black screen until you shake/wake it up. This new feature along with the new TRANSPARENT screen display helps with battery life. The Transparency of the screen is a very good add on. Many smartwatch/ watch phone users have complained about pressing the button to see the time. With the implement of the gesture protocol, and now the translucency of the screen...always on top time view, the direction is forward not backward. The screen ,when in sleepmode will not respond to touch until activated by button press...THe Gesture Bright control is MOre useful when there is no Ambient light to see the watch screen...thus tilting the watch and the screen comes alive in pitch blackness. SPEAKERS/MICROPHONE : Without dismantling the MIW3 I can say that a different brand of Speaker has been used. The clarity and the distance the user can hear the information/caller from is much better than MOst of the watchphones I've used in the past. The microphone is highly sensitive and the feeling to hold the watch to the mouth is minimum. Removable wristbands are GENUINE LEATHER and standard. If you wanted a different look, just switch/change the wrist strap and your look will be Eye catching.....READ THE ENTIRE REVIEW AT MY SITE joe's tech review on the ning network
Any reliable way to buy this watch?
I do not find any option to buy on their website (mimi-hk). Also a couple of other vendors (everbuying, dealmachine etc.) do not have a very great review online. Any pointer will be highly appreciated.
s7yler - on your blog you didn't mention it has a mic?
I wonder if it is running the Nucleus OS?
It would be good if it can give 4 days battery life.

No info on OS that I can find, but OS is very similar to all other budget watches (nucleus style). I'm told by Anna that nromal usage battery is 60 hours. Standby is naturally much longer.. though I want to see the full review to knwo for sure!
You can buy using Paypal from Anna by contacting (I'm waiting for full review to purchase atm) - email address is [email protected]
I also want to by elsewhere as it's cheaper but also am put off by the reviews. Everbuying has 8% off until the end of October, but I have heard to stay away from them!
Hopefully S7yler will release the full review soon.
Any experience with Aliexpress?
I got this link from Anna, but the price is way higher than other portals:

MI-W2 Smart watch
I just receivced my smart watch (after 3 weeks) and purchased on the gearbest site for only $56.00 + $17.00 S/H from Hong Kong.
I've only had it for a few days but I really like it.
MI-W2 version z2.8
MI-W2 Versatile Smart Bluetooth Watch with Dialer SMS Capabilities Remote Camera Shutter Functions.MI-W2 Versatile
Pros: .
Full cahrge in less than 1 hour
Haven't discharge in over 18 hours
Allows me to receive incoming call, text, email, and calendar notifications on the watch
Can make outgoing calls and send outgoing text messages.
Can add and deleted calendar events (syncs to my gmail account calendar)
Cons:
Unable to understand how to adjust call volume on the watch. I was able to access the engineer mode by pressing *20# to get to the menus and even found the audio section to choose my level. Somehow it gives 6 levels of volume but there is no way change the volume on the watch while in a call
I am trying to choose the right smartwatch for me and I am sort of losing my mind. I really can't decide which one to get. So I have finally narrowed my decision down to two. Sony Smartwatch 3 and Moto 360. I like Sony when it comes to mobile hardware - I currently have a Z3 Compact and it would seem only logical to pair it with a smartwatch from Sony. But... I like Motorola as well. Never had any problems with them before.
Both have their pros and the cons. Moto 360 basically looks way better. It also has a heart rate monitor which I like but it isn't a must. On the other hand Smartwatch 3 has a much smoother interface, better battery, is cheaper and has micro USB for charging.
My main problem is this - I am a pretty small guy and I have small wrists as well. So a big watch would just look ridiculous on me. My wrists are about 46mm in diameter at the widest point where the watch would sit. So that's a big issue and the determining factor will be the size. I know that the Smartwatch 3 is slightly larger in one dimension, but it is designed much differently and is thiner. But it is pretty new and I haven't seen much comments about its size.
Anyone with similar issues? What would you suggest?
I own Sony smart watch 3 for the following reasons:
1. All round watches will have troubles with ui in one app or another, they just awkward to code for
2. Sony one is waterproof, has GPS, transflective LCD, great battery life and better chipset (moto uses prehistoric chipset same as in their motoactv from 2011)
3. I have medium sized wrist it fits perfectly, you could try one and return if it doesn't fit.
Overall I would not bother with any round watches unless to show off and from current wear offerings I feel like sw3 is the best and if you'll use GPS it is the only one.
I personally am a Moto 360 person myself. I have fairly skinny wrists and haven't noticed an aesthetic or comfort issue wearing it. In terms of app support: it is indeed harder for coders to deal with round screens but it seems like most have figured them out. The marker for round watches just seems large at this point which forces most to support them if at all feasible.
I also do not trust Sony when it comes to Android based devices. They always seem to release products in that space that flop and thereby do not get as much updates/support compared to peer manufacturers.
Good luck in your decision!
I get a SW3 today. I've also a small wrist and it fits very well.
Why I choose SW3 not Moto 360? A round watch is pretty cool, but I cannot tolerate its black bar below, it makes me crazy...
And also consider the battery, SW3 finally becomes my first android wear.
Same here, wanted a moto 360. But after looking at everything I bought SW3 yesterday. Never had android wear before or actually worn a watch. But SW3 for £130 was an easy decision. It should arrive on Thursday.
I am 2 meter tall guy so size ssd never a concern to me. Only thing I didn't like about SW3 was that weird watch band. A standart 22mm watch bands would be much better. But I will see how it feels when it arrives. Can't wait! [emoji2]
Well I have finally decided and bought a Moto 360. It has arrived yesterday so I've had about a day of "play time" with it. A bit mixed feelings for now. But not really a HW problem. Android Wear seems very much like a huge beta for now.
First my thoughts on hardware - I love the design. It really is a beautiful watch. And just a tad too large for my wrists. Smaller would be better but size isn't too big of an issue on the current model. It could be a bit thiner though. I don't particularly like the leather strap to be honest. The leather feels a bit too stiff for my liking. I've seen much softer leather bands on watches before. I would probably prefer one of those. Or maybe textile. But maybe it will soften up a bit with time.
Battery doesn't seem like a particularly big issue. I am at 55% right now (I started using it in the morning and it is 9 in the evening now) and I have been playing with it a lot today. Installing apps, using things, ... So it seems like it will last me a day just fine.
Pedometer seems useless. I can't check how accurate it is because it doesn't update in real time - the ****? Who thought that this was a good idea? If I make a step I want to see it change immediately. Not two hours later. Heart rate sensor isn't much better either.
And now for android wear... What was google thinking? What's the point of having the ability to read an email or to reply to it but no ability to delete that thing? I delete 80% of my emails after I read them. Why can't I do that on my wrist? What about a keyboard? We know it isn't impossible. So why isn't it there? Something similar to a standard numeric keypad that we can see on old mobile phones would work (T9 anyone?). Or a full fledged keyboard in some other form. Not because I don't want to talk but because voice input is useless for anything but English. And we will be seeing support for Slovene in ... let's be honest ... never. So I can't send a message to anyone, I can't send an email to anyone, start a navigation to somewhere, ... KEYBOARD!
Why do "apps" like Yatse remote hide/close when the watch goes to sleep? This makes it pretty much useless then.
Deleting emails is just swipe left, delete.. I do it all the time as 90% of what I get is spam anyway.
IME the watches work best as notification devices.. they're great for telling you that an email or tweet has arrived, or that you have to leave to get to an appointment, without having to fish in your pocket to work out whether it's an important message or not. During meetings a quick glance at the watch is pretty unobtrusive.
They're too small though to be general purpose devices, and they're not designed to be (hence no real launcher.. 'apps' is buried at the bottom of a menu). Once you get into serious amounts of interaction you're better off just taking the phone out and using that.

The funny thing here is this - I've found it performs the worst as a notification device. It performs great when I need a timer or when I need to quickly check one of my notes.
Notifications are just... meh. I want f*** email notifications. And no I don't have a delete option when I swipe left. I have reply, mark as read and open on phone. No delete. What is even worse - the thing doesn't vibrate when I get an email. Probably it has something to do with the email client I am using - the stock (AOSP) android one. Not gmail or something else. How am I supposed to have faith in a platform when even the thing that is most advertised doesn't work with the built in app?
The first thing I installed on there was an app launcher. I also found a neat app that enables you to send text messages with an actual keyboard. So at least there is that.
I have a "swipe left" to delete also. It depends what you use for your email. I use "Blue Mail"

Probably.
I am not happy with the fact that something so basic as deleting emails and vibrating when that email arrives is not supported with the app made by Google. On their own platform.
I was also hoping that Lolipop update would bring us some improvements in that regard - the watch got an update today and it didn't improve any of my issues.
i don't know which one is more suitable for you .
but people are often talking about moto 360 ,
sony watch i havent heard it many time .
so i guess this maybe be able to help you decide .
It looks really cool, Amazon keeps having these flash sales on Amazon for $151. Right now you can pre-order it for $199 on their site. What do you guys think of it? Any-one get theirs yet?
https://misfit.com/products/misfit-vapor
I'm interested in hearing from anyone who ordered one/has one as well. Honestly, I'm stunned that a non-flat-tire, not ginormous, waterproof, android wear 2.0 smartwatch with a touch bezel is not getting more notice/media coverage.
It's like all the big review sites said, "Yeah, it's available on the 31st....so what. We had to wait for it too long, so we don't care". It's rather crazy in my mind. There are a few old reviews I can find (when the watch still ran the proprietary OS) but as far as I can find, there are no current reviews with the watch running AW 2.0. Why!?
I really hope some proud new owners chime in and let us know how the watch performs running AW, and some details on real-world use.
The only one that I've seen receive their's is this person. For $199 new, that's pretty good isn't it? A refurb Huawei watch one would cost me $150 at least.
https://www.reddit.com/r/MisfitVapor/comments/7ak9e0/i_received_my_vapor_and_am_willing_answer_any/
Oh, sweet! Good thread there with some pretty good initial info on the watch. Thanks for sharing the link.
Hi I just recieved mine last night and I am now looking around on the web for info/help with it. Ill give my first impressions of it here, Id like to be able to share my thoughts with Misfit so maybe they can take the feedback and improve it.
First off I am a formar Fitbit Surge user and liked it for the fitness attributes it had, before ordering the Vapor I bought a CHEAP $40 Kingware KW18 watch from China to see if id be ok wearing a larger watch such as these are. It had many short commings but also did some cool things.
First impression is the watch is well made and it has a great interface, I really like the touch navigation around the bezel.
Now for what I dont like about it:
- Heart rate monitor has to be manually activated each time and just does a short test. I want to have it on all the time and have the data graphed in the app, I understand that probably is a battery drainer but how about being able to turn it on during workouts so I know what my peak heart rate was riding my cycle up a huge hill for instance.
- Phone call answering - It lets you see an incomming call and decide to hang up or answer it from the watch, but if you answer it from the watch the call actually goes to the phone. You should be able to see the call and if your phone is handy answer it on the phone or if its not (say phone is in my pocket and i am driving) answer it on the watch and talk to the person through the watch as a speaker phone. THe cheap KW18 can do this.
- Displaying of info on the watch face - Id like to be able to select what info is displayed on the watchface, such as steps or calories burned. Seams simple enough, Fitbits, Garmins both can do this and is an expection for most people of a fitness watch.
- Sleep monitor, so I could be missing something when I set it up for this but when I synced it this morning it said I got zero sleep, gee I didnt feel that I got no sleep, I am tired but I did sleep some... If it cannot sense I am in a restful position on its on I hope it doesnt expect me to select something in the watch to say Im now sleeping....
- Charger - It is a non intrusive connection held onto watch with a magnet which is great but it doesnt stay on well at all. The cheap KW18 has a much better charger cable/interface.
- Misfit App - THis is on me as I could have downloaded this before hand and checked it out but basically it is pretty useless. Has very little info in it, does not food/water tracking and has no graphing ability that I could see. Will need to use the watch for a while to see if once there is data it then has graphs available with your daily/weekly/monthly activity...
Sorry to sound negitive but they tout it as a refined fitness watch but fitness is low on their prioritys from what I can see.

- Displaying of info on the watch face - Id like to be able to select what info is displayed on the watchface, such as steps or calories burned. Seams simple enough, Fitbits, Garmins both can do this and is an expection for most people of a fitness watch.

You can change the default watch face info at bottom of screen. Go to change face screen and click settings icon and you can change the 3 icons from in there to link to any app on watch incl Google Fit for steps, calories etc

Hi thanks I did manage to figure that out, a user manual would be nice. It still is not very accurate on the step counting and it isn't tracking sleep at all either.

I have a few to sell if anyone is interested
So update on my Vapor i was told by tech support it does not do sleep tracking at all and heart rate monitoring is a snapshot only when you trigger it.
Have no idea how they can tout the Vapor let alone Misfit as fitness focused.
Im sending mine back and looking at the Garmin vivoactive 3 or the Samsung S2.

Check this new Android Smartwatch from Lemfo go AliExpress Lemfo store or google it for Lemfo Lem X just I will give some of the specifications; design like the Lem 7 but removable straps, 2.03 inches full around Amoled display, the SoC mtk6739 with power VR GPU, 1/16 Gb, Bluetooth 4.2 , 4G capability , better camera and Android 7.1, but not Bluetooth calling feature, to bad.
It’s in presell right now .
Bigger is better
Once again, AliExpress is a bit sloppy with the details.
From the "Item Specifics": battery 450mAh, camera 5MP
From the "Product Description": battery 900 mAh, camera 8MP.
Which is correct?
900Mah and the price went down
The watch looks promising but I do not trust the render pictures. On official pictures the Lem7 is almost bezelless but in reality there is a big bezel. If the watch has also such a bezel and a 2inch screen it will be huge...
If it’s like that I will cancel the order, I don’t think that they will do like that because the Lem 7 has a lot feedback about it, will see
I bought one on pre sale. Specs are really good! Can’t wait!! Game changer compared to other watches!
Replaceable straps, nice resolution, big screen, nice cpu. Like it!

Ip67 waterproof,900Mah battery capacity , but maybe if you notices its going to have the flat tire, but small, because is the resolution is 640 x 590 just 48 for full around i believe so????
https://www.omnicalculator.com/othe...ght_res:640,width_res:590,diag_size:2.03!inch
428.8ppi density
one more other things no buttons so i am wandering , beside the red one on the left side, maybe power on/off
Think the button is a “home button” have to wait for a review on youtube for real life experience. All we got now is the rendered images from alieexpress(photoshopped)
But it’s only 140 euro. So worth a gamble
Didn’t get the flat tire remark, but you are right, comes due to the resolution. Hopefully there are some nice dials, so it won’t be that obvious.

No bad the video good idea, they replay couples of my messages and the flat tire it’s there.
look a this the first video of the Lem X

But looks nice. Guy in the video got thin arms. Or the watch is enormous

yeah thats what i said is a monster device in RASC forums roundandroidsmartwatched proboard,go over there be a member nice peoples, but remember those chinese peoples have smaller wrist. you know the style is identical to the moto 360
Why do they never implement NFC payments?!
Such great specs, but for lack of NFC. I know QR code payments are the most common in China, but why not add this feature and broaden the appeal of the watch?
I'm not familiar with these smartwatches - from the description it appears that you can install apps from the Play store... is this correct?
LEM X question
Any one know the strap size?
Who every has one, want are you getting on the average for battery life?
not in market yet, we will know everything after august 28

This companies, not being racist or anything, they think of the market margins....2 billion people/customers in China vs, what, about 700 million in Europe. That's how Huawei started and that's why they toped Samsung on sales.
There are more people that can afford a £100 watch then a £300 one.
It won't cost more to add NFC and Bluetooth calling but it takes time to implement the software feature and to sort the bugs, as all the developers on this site will know.
This componies there are about quantity and new models as soon as possible.
What they do is watch the big companies watch/phone tech leaks and they will try to implement them first. 1 penny plus 1 penny makes 8.7 trillion $.
Lemfo lem x screen bubble
I just got my watch and like it but I seem to have a type of air bubble in the top left of the screen, has anyone else had this and if so can I fix or do I need a replacement.
Cheers

There should be No Air bubble. Post a Screen shot.
Looking to get my first smart watch. Around £250.
I would like it to do the following without a having a phone on me:
Pay with tapping.
Track runs via Strava.
Play music (possibly Spotify?).
I would like the following when I have the phone on me:
Email alerts
SMS
Whatapp
Facebook Messenger
Answer / Make calls (would this count as legal hands-free? ).
The Huawei Smart Watch 2 Classic looks to do all this for about £230 (unless someone else can find it cheaper?).
Any other alternatives that can do the above?
Ticwatch Pro is my favorite. I don't own one yet so I can't really back that up, other than on paper and community reviews.
I had the Huawei 2 classic for about a week. The battery didn't get me through the day, and at least for me, the 1.2 inch screen was just too small. It's a really good looking watch though. Had the screen been bigger and the battery lasted a day, I would have kept it no questions asked. Hopefully the 3 whatever fixes those two things. Also, at this point, you *should* be able to find a 2 classic cheaper. Keep looking around. Or wait until Amazon's black Friday week.
OR, do what I did and buy a Fossil Q Explorist HR. I LOVE this watch. It looks great, the battery last more than a day, the screen is 1.4 inches, and super fast charging. Brand new, just came out they go for $250-270 depending on the color and band type. I got the gunmetal with the metal band just because I love that color. I don't even use that band.
OR, wait a couple more months for some smartwatches to come out with the new chip.

OK, hopefully I am qualified to provide you with a reasonable answer.
I have had Smartwatches since the beginning I think.
My Huawei watch 1 has finally given up after 3 years, a great service, may it rest in pieces (literally) and my backup Sony SW3 just never feels 'right'.
in my search for a replacement, I have since bought/returned or tried the Samsung Galaxy Watch (46mm), Ticwatch Pro (Amazon deal 180£), A fossil gen 3.
The Samsung is faster than a speeding bullet, well made, awesome bezel thingy, and a great screen. But there's bugger all app support, notifications don't work to my liking (eg it notifies of Twitter feed but not the actual message), slow to charge and battery simply not as great as stated and Samsung Pay, doesn't include Halifax (my bank (well not my bank as in I own it, but rather they have all my money)), expensive additional chargers and expensive watch in the first place.
The Ticwatch Pro - uses same tech as all current items and the LED screen cant be seen in low light or dark, and it was the laggiest of all watches owned/tried and isn't particularly cheap.
I didn't want to buy another HW1 so I purchased an Amazon WH special HW2, just to give it a whirl.. £130
Glad I did. Agreed the screen is too small and was a backward step compared to HW1 but this helps with battery life. It doesn't look like anything special (like a mid range Casio). But it is comfortable, all apps work as they're supposed to, cheap to buy, low-cost spurious chargers (£4!), and once you disable a couple of bloatware apps the battery is incredible and Android Pay works (never had this before).
If you can't wait for watches with 3100 chip (and they're unlikely to perform much better, but hopefully have improved staying power, then I recommend the HW2 .... especially an Amazon special.
I'm currently experimenting with different settings to understand battery implications but with 'Always on' set to off, I can get 3 days if careful), currently trying always on, with simple screen and looks like a comfortable 2 days ... which I could never get with my HW1. Additionally I just discovered it has a watch only facility (bit like the Ticwatch) giving you a month's use as a dumb smart watch.
Thanks for the above... I took the plunge and bought the HW2, A-grade second for £170. It turned up still sealed, with all the protectors on it. Great!
However, it looks like I'll be sending it back unused, as Huawei have leaked that they will be release the GT (baiscally HW3) THIS MONTH and it looks gorgeous.
Available in Classic, Sport and Fashion versions. It will have the new Snapdragon 3100 chipset, a bigger screen, be completely water-proof and a much longer battery life. Whether it will be running Wear OS remains to be seen:

Good for your detailed review. I have gone ahead with HW2 and currently getting almost 20 hours battery life including 1 hour of training with BT headset playing so that itself uses almost 30% with GPS on for tracking activities. Would like to know which 2 apps you froze to give you better battery life. On other items my watch is always on power saving mode and connected to BT all the time with Wifi off and GPS off (on when only needed). At night, its on airplane mode.

Did you get that watch? i have seen this watch and tho it looks awesome it based on Huawei OS and not on Wear OS. Second thing which killed it for me was the lack of internal storage. It only has 128 mb ROM. Not sure what you can do with it.
