Nexus 6 Canada - Nexus 6 General

There is not really a best ROM/KERNEL because we all know that each ones usage is different. That said network signal plays an important role in terms of battery usage. If the signal is weak then battery drain will be high. I am currently on stock 5.1.1 not rooted and I am on Rogers LTE and I never get a full bar signal. My battery statistics shows a mix of green, yellow, red. The screenshot I got yellow and green. Anyway the point is to share which Radio image, or ROM/KERNEL here in Canada that have a balance in battery and performance.
I tried M P3 however I noticed a huge battery drain due to the signal. When I switched to 3G it becomes more stable.

No such thing really. They are all good, all have their own pros an cons. Plus everyone uses their phone differently so you cannot truly say what " the best " is.
You should download some ROMs, a few kernels, and flash away and see what works for you.

Wrong Section. Android Development and Original Development are for Rom/Kernel Threads. Your post is for Q/A.

I am using now samsung galaxy s2 which i bought used and it is from O2 mobile Uk
So first of all when i install 2.3.5 official in my phone its work good android system goes to near 14% and android OS goes to Like 5-9 percent
But when i try to pull something like 2.3.6 with odin it cause me problem of high battery usage again
So i do some research and what i did is flash 4.04 in ny phone
But thats not a full story i root it and install root exploler
And i unistall all ****ty apps like samsung hub, even gmail email
Yeah i am saying it correctly i didnt freeze them i just delete or uninstall them
And yeah problem solved
One more thing to new problem facers
Dude dont worry about that problem i check many peoples they all are facing that thing
Our Galaxy S2 is still best if you compare them will all other present smartphones
My advice is to just check if you are getting same battery timing in real which you were getting before all that
If your answer is yes then dont bother yourself with seeing battery status again and again and enjoy your phone
I hope this process will be usefull to you
I post all ****ty apps list later so you can delete them

4G Signal Reception Results

[My new Galaxy S5 does not seem to be getting great signal reception. It's constantly around -100-106 dbm. I downloaded an app that checks it every 1 minute and then produces the results in excel forumat. Other devices in my office (also on verizon) are getting much better reception
I went to the mall, and the Galaxy S5 there was around -80, while mine was -97. Obviously both Verizon. How is this possible, other than a faulty radio in my device?
I remember back in the day you could dial #228, but obviously with 4G you can not do that.
Should I return/exchange my phone?
I should add, if I power off the phone, take out the sim card, then reinsert it. The signal improves to like-84-88 dbm for awhile, then tapers off again to the -100s.
Will SOMEONE chime in their thoughts?
You can see in the circled area, if I do a restart, the signal is better for like 5-10 mins, then drops off again. I even tried to do all of these things in safe mode, same results.

Maybe you should check the signal power when you actually use your phone ( in a call) maybe is a power saving feature. Try to compare with other s5 in the same room. Could be a bad driver for modem. From my experience with Samsung it takes 2 or 3 updates to get all well.

What's a good stable ROM to revive my S4?

Hi Folks,
I have a bone stock S4 that has served me well for the past 4 or whatever years. I have tried resetting the phone several times, but it just feels sluggish in normal tasks, and it really shouldn't.
Stability is most important to me though, and admittedly the stock Sprint ROM is not great in that regard. No random reboots or anything, but just slow as hell!
Any input would be great, not sure if anyone is even still using an S4 on Sprint

I'm using a 720T on Boost, but I've been getting really good results from the PACman Lollipop ROM. May be because I live in an area with mediocre signal strength, but network stability has been a pretty big issue with a lot of other ROMs. My phone just seems to work best with PAC. Here's a link:

Thanks for the intel guys
It looks like WickedX is still being supported - I am going to give it a try and see if it works well for me!
I had PAC on my old S3 and I loved it, will give that a go as well

Cyanogyn mod is a great rom despite the unfortunate fact that it shut down and is not receiving updates anymore. Thumbs up if this helps
In another thread OctOS was referenced which can be found at teamoctos.com/oct-n-weekly-lineageos-base/oct-14.1/jfltespr/

Improve Battery After Nougat Update

i have seen many comments in different threads about having poor battery life... i myself have faced this issue.. with my battery dropping like 5-7% while it's ideal to.. so many people suggested to full wipe my device but along with it i used a software BK DISABLER(SAMSUNG)...
i disabled all the apps along with samsung account(i checked shealth was still working after this but then i removed it seeing the number of services it had)
given in this link..
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/safe-to-debloat-s6-threads-t3090383
please check the second cmnt by @lizaSB..it's more detailed and apps are easy to find.. whenever you disable a bloatware be sure to check you have disabled the services given in it(using BK DISABLER.. obviously)
I don't know whether a seperate thread has been created for this or not... but after nougat update this really helped.. my batter falls like 0.6 or 0.7 % perhour when it's ideal...
I know many scripts are availabel for doing this but that requires root.. this app doesn't requires root privilege .
I feel battery for the S6/N5 family improved with Nougat, while the S7 line battery was negatively impacted. Moving to a spare S6 I had, as I had to send my S8 in to replace my screen, I'm getting quite decent numbers for a 2-year old phone that was used for most of that time by my mom (she changed phones recently).

i like the Split screen very much. i can chat on QQ and wechat without switch screen.
hope you will like it!!!
ps:my english is so poor,haha
Great! It would be nice if you could give us feedback on the overall performance and battery life
Yea please share your thought compared to miui8
Overall experience is very smooth, battery life is same as on MIUI 8.
For me that means around 9+ hours of SoT if using Wi-Fi only, around 6.5 hours when using data connection + GPS.
so far so good, btw i am not in the beta program ,:fingers-crossed:

Has anyone noticed any improvement in camera performance as original camera software falls short of potential.
Is this the final version?
My only question is: Does it support quick reply ?
