Hi.
Yesterday my Nexus 4 turn off and then turn on again, on screen after boot animation appeared a windows that says "Optimizing apps" so I wait till the end of the process but after that phone wont launch. I tried to launch him many times but each time was the same. So I just flash the ROM from here
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
then launch a phone but he stacked on boot animation for 30 minutes and I turn it off, lock the bootloader and the "Optimizing apps" window appears and phone went to the state from beginning.
What can I do to repair it?

Try flashing the images again and try waiting longer, sometimes it takes a really long time to boot the first time.

Last night my A500 had an OTA update. My A500 wasn't rooted or had any mods running, and now whenever I try to unlock it, it has a tap saying 'Android system' and a notice in the middle of the screen that the device is shutting down. However, the device has not shut down after a good 15 mins.
That was a while ago.
The tab shut down after bugging out and letting me go to my home screen, and now when I try to turn it on, the android text that normally comes up while booting up shows, but it won't go past this screen.
Any way I can fix this?
It eventually booted up, and upon unlocking, the same Android System screen was up with the same shutting down notification.

I'm trying to target the cause of my elongated boot time. I'm on 4.3 and unrooted. My phone has the longest startup time ever. It used to be fast and I haven't done anything out of the ordinary to have probably caused the issue. It boots normally, but then when the att logo appears, it does the little animation but then vibrates once slightly, then usually follows another slight vibrate some seconds later. This usually occurs for about 45 seconds to a minute until my lockscreen appears. I factory reset, and I tried powering off and on right after the reset. It was back to normal. However after I downloaded all my apps again and reinstated my settings, the problem reappeared. Is it simply because of the number of apps I have? I don't remember this happening before the update to 4.3. (it was great on 4.2). I thought it was because I had downloaded and used zooper widget, but I uninstalled that app and tried the booting. It was the same duration (1 minute on att screen)

I've just installed the 4.4.2 update on my Advent-branded Tegra Note and the first boot was painfully slow. The "Optimizing Apps" stage of the boot took more than an hour for 161 apps and when the boot was complete the device was lagging to a ridiculous degree. Swiping left or right on the home screen resulted in a jittery page change after maybe 6 or 7 seconds. I eventually had to force a shutdown. Subsequent boots have started OK but with periodic lag for 20-30 seconds at a time. Has anyone else had issues like this?

Oh, yeah. Got frustrated enough that I rooted it and downgraded back to 4.3... That said, try going into recovery (if you're not rooted) and clear the cache from there to see if that helps.

I have seen this randomly, not on the first reboot of Kitkat for me, which worked fine. But just randomly on reboots after the update to 4.4.2. The slowness starts at the initial boot screen because the animated splash screen with the green swirling around the Nvidia logo is super sluggish and slow-mo, almost like the tablet is running on one core or something. If this occurs, I normally hold in the power button to force a hard reboot, then its fine again. Done it maybe a handful of times, but I don't restart my tablet that often. Only started happening after the 4.4 update tho.
workaround

This is not a solution, but instead a workaround that seems to work.
a) Firstly you need to turn on the 'developers options' in the settings menu.
Go into 'Settings' > 'About tablet' then tap the 'Build number' seven times.
You will get a message telling you that you are now a developer.
Return to the main settings page and a new option 'Developers options' will be visible.
B)Click on 'Developers options' > 'Select runtime'. Then click 'Art'. This cause android to rebuild the runtime system & libraries. When its finished optimising apps, use the tablet as normal for 10-15 minutes, note some apps will NOT function properly.
Restart tablet by powering off and turning back on.
C)Goto main 'Settings' page click 'Developers options' > 'Select runtime'. Then click 'Dalvik'. Android will rebuild the runtime system & libraries and return the tablet to its original state. When its finished optimising the apps, Power off the tablet then restart.
I hope this helps… (does not require unlocking or rooting)
I have the HD 8, I have done many factory resets, and on every single boot, it takes a long time showing the "fire" orange logo, then goes to install the latest software. It works perfectly after it does this and fully boots, but it does this every time.
Also, if I set it down with the screen off, when I use it again after only 5 minutes, it turns off. I turn it back on and it goes through the same process over.
Please help. It is not rooted, I am willing to root it. All I have done is added Google Play and Services to access the play store.

My Mi9t keeps freezing the screen flickers 3 or 4 times and then go to the lock screen. And sometimes after that happens it reboot into recovery mode by itself.
This Is happening couple of times a day
The frequency of this is increasing when using Uber app
That happened after MIUI 12 update

i had this happened to me with Uber also, but with 12.0.2.0 didn't reboot, but after a few tries, it came back, showing "system ui is not responding"
still don't know the cause

Yeah i guess this only happens while using uber wonder why?
The problem is I use uber 3 to 4 times a day everyday:crying:
I had the same after the latest update, I've did a factory reset and installed Al my apps once more. No problems after I did that.
Had it on 12.0.3.0 global when tapped Revoke USB authorizations developers settings. Phone blinked and went to the boot logo and then screen turned black. But after pressing power button screen lit up for a second on a boot logo but then went black again. Hard reboot solved everything
