Sony just rolled out newfirmware 28.0.A.8.251. I found the performance is better than before and less overheating, i did a benchmark with AnTuTu and gave me 57304 point :good:
I'm still waiting for update for Hong kong dual sim variant to roll out. For me, 5.1.1 is not so important. I just want my Z3+ to be as smooth as my sister's Z2.

The update was automagically detected a few seconds after I plugged the phone into my Mac and mounted, then I just followed the instructions.
I note that Sony's website says Java SE is required for system updates using bridge - whilst I didn't install it, it's possible one of my kids installed it previously for one of their dumb web games. If I remember I'll check if my Mac has Java installed (quickest way to check should still be via terminal, 'java --version' IIRC).
I use a 3 PAYG, but I don't see why that would make any difference.
Perhaps if you pop your SIM out and try it?

Looks like my Mac does have some form of Java installed.
By default Macs ship without Java installed.
i just flashed my Z3+ DUAL E6533 HK variant with latest .251 MENA firmware.

Simply go to settings-> About the phone, go to the bottom of the information displayed, and check the FW version.
Mine had 3.0.A.2.181 out of the box...
I didn't get any update notification. Can you tell me the new firmware version?

I noticed my nexus does better job than arc i don't know why. but i like the arc really great screen even outside everything is clear.
Some games lag even angry birds lag i never had this on my nexus. I don't believe it's ram related because have 100+ nothing runs in the background.
But waiting for future update, it will get better
I've played AB a bit and not had any lag for me...

Just got my update on a UK phone - reckon its just a plot from SE to convince us they will be supporting us owners this time around
351mb UK based
edit:
JB OS Update, tablet rebooting. Stock untouched and unrooted.
Edit 2:
Seems good enough, smoother but not as smooth as the nexus 7 as expected. Oddly terms and conditions acceptance comes up in spanish even though its a UK language model!
GF not complaining so cant be that much different! Although had to go back in and add back all the icons and such, which is a pain Like being able to delete home screens which I cant on my nexus 7..

The bloody update is not letting the system go into deep sleep. Chk the screenshot. The core with 1018 mhz is never going to sleep at all.
Honor has really done a blunder here and they are not ready to accept or rectify it in india atleast.

I really do think that I'm right on this one
I have never had a smart phone that runs so many apps last as long as the battery does on this one.
I do know that a factory reset really helps and that the phone need time for
1: the phone to learn your usage habits.
2: for the ROM to settle.
We do need to be patient and not keep trying to update via FF it the Charles method.
