Okay, so i had a LG G2 Pre-rooted since i bought it and i unrooted it, i updated to kitkat LG UI only to realize that i am more fond of stock KitKat CM11/CarbonROM, so i flashed the d800 ATT LG G2 which(Worked before i updated to kitkat) and now it gives me a binary error while flashing, it simply gives up trying.
Binary issue: 7 [Device must be [d800/gilpa] , your device is [d800].
I'm so confused , is the KitKat Update from LG Screwing things up or?!? How do i fix this?
Thanks, and if this has been posted somewhere else, sorry..
Longstory short: Updated KITKAT OTA, Didn't like it, Downgraded back to JellyBean, Installed TWRP, AOSP don't flash...
EDIT: SOLVED: D800 Flash the updated recovery zip

you said you unrooted and update to kitkat so where are you right what version are you on and are you rooted or not and what d800 g2 are you trying to flash also have you tried flashing to stock jb(4.2.2) rooting and installing recovery then trying to install the rom?

SOLVED:
I wasn't informed that i needed to flash the TWRP 2.7.0.0 from the custom recovery installer.
I simply flashed this in the recovery and everything works now.

Hi, can anybody tell me how to get the Stock Kernel, for the LG G2 32gb d802, with firmware 4.4.2 20H? Thank you very much!!
My Phone Model No. is LG G2 D802.....but when i opened the back cover of my phone it says different model no. like D800 at the bottom and D800 at the top right corner.......
So now i'm confused what to do and how to do........
All i want is to have root with custom recovery and to use Cloudy G3 Rom.........but don't know which autorec version to use (i.e D800 or D802)...
and if some how recovery is installed then while installing Cloudy rom which Model no. to select( D800 or D802)
I'm attaching the photos of the removed back of my phone......
I just dont want my phone Bricked....
i searched and found one thread with similar problem but it makes me more confused....

I have been unable to update my g2 to 5.0.2 cause if I do I get touch, knock on, sim card and storage issues. when I first did it I got these issues and wasn't able to fix it so I sent it for repairing, they fixed it and now it's working fine but I wanna update it to lollipop but am afraid that it may have these issues again. I am currently running on 4.4.2. I also noticed now the model number in settings is D800 though on the back cover it says D802. Plz help. thx.
Hi Trev here from Australia.I bought a used LG G2,the listing said it was a D802 and the seller said it was working fine till he upgraded it to lolly pop,the screen is having touch issues,so i opened up the back and to my surprise its in fact a LS980,now i have been searching threads on here and i cant find what i am after. Now i am thinking the screen is playing up because the firmware is incorrect, now how do i flash the G2 back to stock Sprint, because the issue is D802 rom is KDZ format and LS980 is tot any suggestions. Also could someone have edited the build.prop.
I have the same problem.but i solve my problem with lg flashing box octopus.
