LG G2 D802- Bricked After Software Update - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Bricked LG G2 D802, some advice ?
Hello guyz,
Unfortunately during a software update the phone just got cold with black screen.
I started searching and found a solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404
I used all info as instructed and managed to manually flash the partitions like in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
But unfortunately i got stuck after the last step (ubuntu flash), the next thread does not help me with my "softwareless" phone.
Any advice how should i proceed in order to push the cyanogen 12.1 and gappa to the get the phone up and running ?
I currently have TWRP but a lot of features are not working, i guess it's as expected since it was hard wiped.
Thank you !

I think you have a frankenphone which is basically a phone that has a motherboard that is different than the model that is written on the back cover.
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk

Well, if only i could somehow transfer the cyanogen and gapps to the device i could install the software via twrp
But i don;t how to do that, the PC sees the phone as "!G2"
I installed ADB and tried to see if it recognizes the phone but no luck, figured out maybe i can push the firmware via adb

Solved my issue.
Can be closed

As this forum is not for you alone it would be nice to share your way to a fix. Others might get into the same issue.

The problem was the images them self's. I tried the SRK Tool images to flash under ubuntu and managed to boot in recovery and flash a EUR 10B via download mode.
Just replace the images that are suggested in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 with the ones from the SRK TOOL and have a EUR 10B firmware ready to flash

[Q] Bricked my G2 and really need help please.

Hello everyone I need some help with my G2 its the rogers D803, First off I'm kinda a noob when it comes to flashing roms, this is my third G2 I've owned, i bought it off kijiji and its been nothing but trouble, my LTE wouldn't work and I couldn't update it to 4.4, The ota wouldn't work cause the device was not resisted. I tried to update with the LG support tool, when i would connect the device it would say update found then all of a sudden it would say your device is up to date. So i decided I would root it and flash a custom rom. I used TWRP a flashed Mahdi Rom and it worked great. Now here is where I messed up, I decided to try another rom, went into recovery and did my wipe but i accidentally wiped the system along with all the roms and zips I had on the internal storage. now its stuck i n a boot loop, I'm still able to get into twrp and also can get into download mode. my problem is I'm unable to mount the device to get my roms or even my backup folder back onto the device. when i plug the phone in i cant get the drivers to install , ive tried using ADB but my device doesn't show up on there. it does show up on the lg support tool when i put it into download mode. If anyone can help me out it would be much much appreciated. sorry for the wall of text but I'm trying to give as much details as possible.

It was getting stuck on the Lg logo but i was still able to boot into twrp. but good news I just figured it out. I downloaded Koush universal adb driver and was able to sideload a new rom.

[Q] Bricked, PC doesn't recognize Download Mode and TWRP sideload doesn't start

Hey guys, it's 4am where I live and I'm becoming desperate now... Hope someone find a solution for my problem and is willing to help me.
I was using the latest CM12 nightly on my new d805 and decided to try the new CloudyG2 3.1. I was told the easiest way to do this is flashing a Lollipop bootstack (which I found here https://github.com/lg-devs/bootstack...master/d802/lp) followed by the Cloudy ROM itself.
I did it through TWRP, and then things started to cramble. On reboot the LG logo briefly appeared followed by a black screen. I've found this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2432476, downloaded the appropriated .kdz but my device isn't recognized by my PC. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and using the universal ones, but my computer just doesn't care about the phone being connected or not.
I tried to start sideload on TWRP so I could push a CM12 .zip back to the phone, but the sideload doesn't start, so I essentially can't send any file to the phone. Is there any hope for me? I'd be so happy if someone gave me a solution for this... I really can't afford to buy another phone right now and this is my only method of contact with some relatives.
Huge thanks in advance, this community rocks.

If you can go in recovery mode you could use the usb-otg to flash a rom and reboot the phone

So I need a specific cable to do this? Is this the only way?
You need a normal usb-otg that can find in every electronics shop

LG G2 (Secure booting error) can boot into TWRP. How do i fix this?

(I CAN GET INTO TWRP AND DOWNLOAD MODE) T-Mobile D801 (This was my previous phone that i had rooted before) My dads LG G2 was having issues with the touchscreen on CM so i decided to flash the stock ROM but i guess i might have skipped a few steps and after flashing i got :boot certification verify, secure booting error! and cause: boot certification verify. after that i tried flashing a backup but i got the same thing. My friend told me to wipe all the files so i did and that's what point i am on now. I can still boot into recovery but have no idea what to do further, i tried to following one of the guides on here (forgot link sorryz) but once i got to one of the steps where i plug my phone in my PC would recognize it as a bunch of drives (tried this on a different PC as well) WILL REALLY APPRECIATE THE HELP GUYS!

if you can enter download mode then just flash stock friemware. using TOT or KDZ. thatll fix it. the boot error is when you mess with the bootloader. like you instal wrong bootloader for rom..
try it again.. i had same all i did was go back to stock.
i cant flash anything though since any PC will recognize my phone as a bunch of drives so i cant get the stock firmware

Had the exact same issue, I believe it's caused by corrupting the internal memory (multiple causes for this).
Don't freak just follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/tools-srk-tool-useful-toos-lg-root-twrp-t3079076 (there's a video guide at the bottom, but it's pretty straight forward).
After that follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2432476 to get it back to stock and work from there.

LG G2 Secure boot verify error Please HELP !!!

Good Day everyone
I am in desperate need for some help please, i managed to brick my LG G2, and need help unbricking it
I have the D802 International model.
The story so far, it had Cloudy G2 2.1 Rom on, wanted to update it to, Cloudy G2 3.3 , followed the guide on Blogspot, when, you search for "kevin with tech cloudy G2 3.3" on Google
Wiped the partitions via TWRP 2.7, as stated in the video (everything except internal storage), and then installed the KK-D802 bootloader.
After i rebooted, my G2 did not come boot again, it will go on with the boot logo and the words: "Boot certification verify" Secure booting error. will appear for about 2 seconds then just goes black.
Whenever i try to plug in via USB cable, it will detect multiple new drives in windows and accept me to "Do you want to format". in the device manager i can see device being detected as "QHSUSB_BULK"
My phone is rooted as well.
Some sites recommend using a linux way, but i have been through countless forums, and not sure which way is the right
Please please i need some help unbricking it, and willing to donate to the successful user advice / tutorial of unbricking it.
Thanks for reading and in advance.

Good Day everyone
Thanks for all the advice and help, wanted to update the thread to solved, but things went a bit hectic at work during the week.
Anyways managed to get my phone working again, and restored to original state(thank God).
Basically followed a guide i found on Youtube, used the LG Flash Tool 2014 to flash back to Kit Kat stock, and then from there i rooted and used Auto_rec.
Found a guide on Reddit for Cloudy 2.2 install, flashed correct KK-Bootloader, and restored my Nandroid backup (which strangely at first did not work when restored via TWRP on stock Kit Kat, got the same Secure boot error)
Restored only data and system (everything except the boot) and my phone was back to it's original state.
Hope this helps anyone in the same situation.
PS: I was stuck in some boot loops, so had to format my internal memory as well.
Peace

Stuck on boot

Hi
When I wipe devik, data, cache and system partition using TWRP and reboot, the phone take forever to boot it stuck in LG logo. I don't understand why it stuck when I wipe those partitions. I've tried combination keys to boot in TWRP recovery but it doesn't work. Now I'm stuck. I don't know what to do. My phone is LG G3 (F460L) Android 4.4.2. Please see the photo.
EDIT: I didn't read the system partition thing before answering below... If I'm not completely wrong, your phone can't boot, because there is no system which could be loaded, so your phone is more or less empty, when you wiped the system partition. No more Android 4.4.2 :/ I don't know, why booting into TWRP doesn't work. Maybe you carefully could try to unbrick your phone and reinstall stock rom again.
Hej,
have you ever had booting problems with your phone? I'm in constant bootloop trouble with my D855. Some say it's a battery issue, which I can not confirm since I've tried 4 different ones (including 2 brand new ones). Some others say my mainboard has kind of an unrepairable defect. As I go with this possible explanation, I ordered a new used mainboard from China, hoping for it to arrive in Europe and not beeing fished by the authorities...
I can't say for sure what is the exact issue with my or your phone, the only thing I can tell is that there are tons of posts that can be found on the internet about the G3 having bootloop issues after a couple of years of normal usage. And for most users this came all of a sudden. Believe me, I've invested days of research, uncounted attempts of unbricking my phone (I thought I bricked it somehow, but it wasn't the case) and flashed stock rom and LOS as hard as I could. All ended up in my phone not running stable, crashing and then bootlooping. Sometimes (most of the times) if it's shut down and I want to turn it on, it gets stuck on the LG boot splash screen. It seems that somehow the energy management is not capable of running the phone stable under low voltage, since at least for me the probability of successfull boots slightly rises with a higher state of charge. But I can't take it for granted...
Good luck for you, I will keep reading this thread.
I wipe System Partition which contains Kitkat 4.4.2 but I already flash new ROM (CM13 Unofficial f460) after. There should be CM13 in system partition. I don't know why it can't boot. On the other hand, I can't find official firmware 4.4.2 for F460L (3hours search still no luck). I found only official firmware 6 Marshmallow which I'm afraid I won't be able to root forever if I flash it. I'm really appreciated if you can find one somewhere.

You could follow the link in this post which leads to a russian site. I saw a 4.4.2 version of Android in there. Good luck!
Thanks. I found official firmware lollipop and flash it. I've been searching for a way to root it but most of the method is for D855. Do you know if F460L Lollipop is rootable?

You can use the search function within the forums or search engines like startpage. I don't actually own a F460L and I'm not an expert either, so I don't know, how it works exactly. Punchin the keywords "F460L Lollipop root" into startpage.com brought me the following link as first result:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-everything-lg-g3-cat-6-f460s-t3542542
Just follow the guide in OPs post
I already try LG One Click Root. It doesn't work. When it reach 45% (Looking for LG Serial Port), the phone restart (normal reboot) and it stay at 45% definitely. I manually reboot to Download Mode, still, 45%. Any suggestion?

Sorry, as I'm on a D855, I don't really know. I rooted via King Root which only works with a specific Android version. I used this guide which helped me a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VOgM3jLas4
It's for the D855 but it could work with the F460 too. In the video description, there is a download link to the specific stock rom version for F400 models. The guide tells you where and what to download and how to install. You could try this and I'll keep reading Good Luck!
