Looking for a stable ROM for my LG G2 D803 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone!
I need your help. I have a LG G2 D803 and I have the official Android 4.4.2. I am with bell and I won't have any official update anymore.
But I'm bored with this Android. I have some little bugs, the phone become hot easily, my GPS never works when I need it and the battery life is really bad. Since my warranty is over, I would like to try a custom ROM for my cell phone, but which one? There is a lot of choice and I can't decide which one is the best. If you'd guide me to the one who would fulfill my needs, that would be very nice from you.
I want something stable, not a nightly ROM.
Something that is fluid, not too heavy.
Something that has a good battery life. The best would be better than the stock ROM, but is it possible?
Something that is not too old / abandoned
Finally, not the most important, but if it could influence the choice, something new and fresh that would daze me, juste like if I was exploring a brand new phone lol.
Thank you in advance for your answers

Fastest/stable ROM avalible for my G1

Hi, I recently purchased a HTC Dream (aka G1) and am looking to replace the stock ROM with a more snappy and stable third party one (it has been rooted already). What currently is the best replacement ROM in terms of speed and stability?
Thanks in advance

It's a matter of opinion, try them all and find what you like.
There has been TONS of threads opened up JUST like this. Do research, read ROM threads in the development section for user feedback to compare, and just flash away.
I personally use SuperD which a lot of people love. But in cases of wanting a solid ROM I recommend trying Cyanogen, his work is often built upon by other devs for their own custom ROMs and he doesn't release a bunch of little updates that make you have to flash every 3 days so its nice.

[Q] CyanogenMod

Excuse the newb question, but the device i have used before was the Saamsung Moment which was a POS and was never possible of running cyanogenmod. i have pretty much ran stock on the MT4G, but have added a few tweaks like grankins kernal v03 and oc'd it and added a custom battery meter. So my question is, what is the big deal with CyanogenMod, im not trying to bash it, just want to know. what do the cyanogen mod settings let you do, etc. pretty much, what makes cyanogenMod so great. thanks in advance, and i have my flamesuit ready in case it is needed.
CyanogenMod is completely opensourced and offers many improvements over stock Android. Sometimes its the only way for device to receive updates or certain features. Take a look at CM changelog to see what it offers.

At the end of the day, it comes down to a personal choice what you want use.
Sent from MT4G.
its basically for someone looking to get a fairly basic and simple stock android with performance enhancments mostly and a bit more customizeable. not everyone like sense etc... It also is generally a very stable mod that is updated very quickly.
I wondered the same thing about CyanogenMod but was afraid to ask the question.
Glad someone else did.
If the members wouldn't mind leaving comments about why or what they like about CM6(soon to be 7 is what I read).
I think that would really help out the bunch of us who still don't get it yet when someone says
"Hell yeah I can't wait for CM7!"
Why don't y'all do a backup and just try it? Theres pros and cons with every rom, so u have to weight it out, its preference. Some ppl don't like cm, some don't like sense, shrug, try it

Agreed! Nandroid backups and restores take five minutes. Easy to revert. I switch back and forth once or twice a week, lol.

[Q] Need advice from those who has tested

Hey guys...
I need some advice. I´m gonna flash a new ROM on my Hero for the last time. My companion has served it´s purpose and I´m gonna hand it over to my son.
So now I want some advice from anyone who has tested the following:
1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=767886
2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932377
I know the difference between them both... the question is with one is best for daily use. As I understand the 2.3.4 is fully functional...? I have tried the 2.2.1 before and quite happy with it... but since I´m gonna reflash it I want to make the right choise.
How about batterytime? Performance? Witch of the both is best?
Look forward to read the answers.

I'd say the Gingerbread one is better overall.
Battery life was good, performance was generally snappy and it was stable.
Flashed GB... holy c**p... smooth!
Tell me about it!

[Q] New to S4 (T-Mo), looking for opinions

Hey all
I'm coming from the Amaze, and before that, the Nexus One and the G1. I like the camera app on my S4, and i haven't tried S-Voice yet. Outside of these features though, i'm not sure i care for the original stock rom. I saw a poll for what everyone thought was the best Rom for the i9500, i was wondering about opinions of the i9505 variant.
Looking for really good battery life, all the features of the stock camera (if not more) and better responsiveness than the stock rom. I figure i should stick with TW based roms for now until i find apps that can replace them. My main purpose in this phone was the ability to run mirrorlink to my car's stereo, so i can't loose that either.
So then, what is everyone's favorite TouchWiz based rom? Or, if you prefer, what rom has at the very least the same features as the stock rom for the camera? Is there something that equals s-voice? Can i still mirrorlink with that rom?
thanks all!

First off there is a whole separate section for t mobile variant discussions that will give you a lot more relevant information for the t mobile device.
Second, threads about what the best ROM are generally are not welcome on xda because it is an impossible question. Only you can decide what the best ROM is for you. What makes battery life great on my ROM might severely limit your ability to use it the way you prefer. Everything depends on your taste, and how you use the phone. The only way to decide what ROM is best is to start flashing them and testing.
Sent from your phone. You should be careful where you leave that thing.

I'm not a newb to xda. I didn't ask for a best, i asked for opinions of favorites. I feel there is a BIG difference there. Now, i did mention that i saw a poll for what people thought was the best rom for the non-T-Mo variant, but that only inspired this thread in part.
Hopefully i can get some real responses regarding what other people find as their favorite roms based on the criteria i'm looking for, or reasons why another rom is their favorite in general. I don't really have the time to sit and flash roms all day long anymore.

[Q] LG G2 ROM for my iPhone loving girlfriend.

Hi!
It looks like I have managed to get my girlfriend to switch to android after many years of owning an iPhone 4.
She's going to give the LG G2 a go.
Is there are stable ROM that's not going to give her grief and end up with her hating her new phone. She is not tech savvy like us lot on here so it has to be clean, simple and above all stable.
In also thinking that it's probably best to go with a rom based on the original so as to keep all the features and buttons working as normal??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Nat.

when she gets it, root it for her and put twrp 2.6.3.3 on it, not 2.6.3.2. then head to android development thread and get cloudyflex or aeonflex. they both are awesome, both are pretty much stock, both are better than what the g2 comes with and both are bug free. plus i think for a woman she will enjoy the flex ui much better than the stock rom ui. or if you prefer her to have a stock rom then get one that's been tweaked so it runs smoother. if you want her to have the 4.4 kit kat experience then i would go with mokee aosp rom. people have different opinions, these are just mine.
Great, thank you!
