Get your DRM-Keys work And bootloader back relocked D5803 - Xperia Z3 Compact General

Hi, guys I just managed how to restore drm-keys functionality using this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/development/kernel-andropluskernel-t2937173 .
1. first I selected http://dl.androplus.org/Xperia Z3 Compact D5803_D5833/ this 23.4.A.0.546 - v60 what ever you had ,from the download list
2. Then I just put Z3C_AndroidPlusKernel_v60_Permissive.zip the sd card, and rebooted in recovery
3. installed Z3C_AndroidPlusKernel_v60_Permissive.zip, powered phone off,
4.Connected the the flashmode with flashtool, and flashed D5803_23.4.A.0.546 Nordic Combined.ftf
5. When it finished I rebooted that takes much time, but when I was finished i checked the drm-keys fuctionality and all are working great and the bootloader is locked again
6. Optional, then i used this guide to root the phone without unlocking bootloader http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/how-to-root-backup-drm-keys-t3013343.

Not sure, but I think that the functionality from the drm features are restored, you can't really get your keys back unless you backed them up.
By my knowledge...

I have made backup with backup Ta but when i restored it says error so i moved img ta file to sdcard and installed advanced2 kernel then i used flashtool to flash sony stock rom and when i rebooted the drm keys was working succesfull

hi, does the screen mirroring work without HDCP error?

Im not sure i understand.
Im using SLiM 3.1, FW .580.
I dont have TA backup.
So what im supposed to do?
Wipe all, flash .546 stock firmware,
fastboot Andropluskernel 60 permissive
and then flash stock .546 FW again?

I tried this and the Playstation remote play still shows the drm error

In fact DRM keys are not generic, but specific for each device. For example, my keys are different from yours.
So it's impossible to get them back without a previous backup of the TA partition from your (and only your) device!

[Q] Get This Phone Stock Again?

Hi there, I got this phone a couple weeks back and am loving it, however, I just rooted my phone, and changed the boot animation, messed around with a couple of other settings, and went to try and get them back to normal, and came to the slow realisation that I should have backed stuff up beforehand...
Now, I wondered if you guys could tell me how to get this phone back to how it came out of the box (unrooted, stock bootscreen, no apps installed etc.)
I rooted it without unlocking the bootloader using the "Gingerbreak" apk.
I'm pretty new to android, so please, please use small words?
Thanks
EDIT: I used "Root Tools" to change the boot animation

Does this require unlocked bootloader?
And I tried factory reset, didnt give me back programs, and SEUS was no use at all, just told me I had the latest software and to go away :/
I believe SEUS have the option to reinstall.
Anyways. Flashtool should work on locked device. Only perhaps possible issue reported is with Hongkong models.

no flashtools doesn't work on locked XP, I tried it. try this, it should restore everything:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/supp...ay?cc=gb&lc=en
just follow it through, and it will reset everything. I already used it twice.
Well the flash tools worked a treat, everything is stock, and I had a locked bootloader. thanks a lot for your help!

[Q] How can i backup to flash themes

is there any way i can back up my current settings & apps (go launcher settings and widget setting etc etc) so i can flash different themes & then if needed go back to the way it was before?
and do you loose root doing this?
ps i have locked bootloader on rooted 2.3.3
If you got a phone you can unlock the bootloader then yes you can get recovery to do that, but if it's carrier locked you have to use adb or rootexplorer cause bootloader can't be unlocked..... Yet

Maybe titanium backup will help. The free version should do. can backup most apps and often the settings with those apps but not always

Titanium backup does not backup Rom, if bed changing his theme he needs to backup the files hes replacing such as framework-res.apk etc. If your bootloader unlocked just use cwm recovery, if not pull the files from system using adb or rootexplorer like "thatsupnow" said.
And no u Will not loose root just by flashing a theme.

cheers il giv that a try!
i can unlock bootloader but dont see much point atm not to loose warranty

I used Omnius to back up the TA file. then I used THIS GUIDE (the easy way) to root it.
I was wondering if I could restore the TA file and be able to safely receive OTA updates. I heard that the TA is required in order to restore bootloader lock.

There to do with sony's music software! Basically once you unlocked your bootloader they were deleted even when you relock they cannot be recovered.
so track ID, the facebook like button in the stock music player and qriocity store will never work again
ah... I restored lock and did the software update, but I can still use the music player. at least I hope I restored lock...

Updating with unlocked bootloader

Hello im on stock 4.2.2 and im rooted with an unlocked bootloader. Will i have to relock it once the new 5.0 klp update comes out to get it or will it still work fine? I know theres still a while until the update but id like to be prepared
Depends, if you want the KLP version from google, you'll need to go back to stock and lock the bootloader.
However, there's a 99.99999999% chance someone here at XDA will have a KLP rom before google officially releases one for our N10s.
Ok thanks but can i keep it rooted or do i need to unroot aswell?

OK so I heard some rumors about a jellybean update to 4.3 soon. I really don't want to lose all my data by flashing a stock image once it comes out. Is there a way to relock the boot loader without losing data? And if not is there a way to backup all my data and restore it afterwards. I tried using wugs toolkit to do this but the problem is it only backs up the main user and not the secondary ones. Any suggestions would be appreciated thank you.

I believe unlocking/locking the boot loader will in fact wipe all data. So you'd have to manually handle the backup/restore if you don't want to lose the data.
I'd try something like TB to backup and restore. I usually start from scratch again as I've read restoring app data can cause issue under certain circumstances. YMMV...

I'm not sure so far all I've heard is that you have to lock the bootloader first... And I'd rather not take the risk. Anyway that app mentioned earlier locks and unlocks your boot loader with a click so its great

hmm, from reading that apps description it gives me the impression a bootloader could be locked again w/out wiping - its just then when you would want to re-unlock that it would re-wipe.
right now Im unlocked but stock everything else. I think I will see what happens just trying the upgrade w/out relocking (again because Im pretty sure that's the same as the .2 I just did.)
if anyone can confirm any of this it would be welcomed

To get any Google OTA you do not need to re-lock the bootloader. You might need to flash the stock recovery prior to install the OTA.
At least this is what I did. Of course, to be safe I installed "Bootunlocker", "Voodo OTA Rootkeeper", and "SuperSU".
SuperSU gives permission to keep your phone root when you flash stock recovery.
After you re-install a custom recovery you need, prior to reboot, to wipe "Dalvik-Cache".
The long wait can start
@gunner1937 OK thanks. But where can I get stock recovery? Also I already have super su installed so do I need to do anything before flashing stock recovery or I just need to have supersu installed and then flash to keep root? Will flashing stock recovery wipe data? And are there any other steps I need to take. Please explain thanks

To get stock recovery go to https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images.
Download the factory image for Nexus 10 "mantaray".
Extract the files using, preferably,7-zip.
In the extract files select the file with extension.tar. Unzip with 7-zip.
Open file " mantaray-jdq39". Click on file "image-mantaray-jdq39.zip: this is where you will find all the img files including "recovery.img"

I think it's BRICKED this time!

Ok, I was on a custom ROM for LS980 and all of a sudden it rebooted and I had no control of anything. There was no service either.
So first thing I did was a reboot. no good. Then I went booted into TWRP and restored my last backup, thought this would surely fix it but nothing. Still booted but had no functionality, plus now it started to go into a boot loop. Tried recovering different versions and no luck.
Then, I decided to use the Flash Tool recovery method. It worked in the sense that there was no longer a boot loop, but I still had no service and could not use a lot of the functions like updating PRL/PROFILE and few of the apps would not launch like the quick remote, it would say "SIM not ready"
I'm pretty much out of ideas at this point as I only have the flash tool option and since I lost recovery.
Is this considered BRICKED or does anyone have an idea? thanks

If you are still able to enter in the ROM it's not Bricked....
Put the phone in Fastboot and flash a recovery via Fastboot commands.
Then you can wipe everything (except internal) and flash a new ROM.
I've never fastbooted before. Is there a quick tutorial link for this?

So I tried the flash tool again using different TOT files. ZV8 and ZVA files caused boot loops. The only file that almost worked was the ZVC file. By almost I mean, there's no boot loop, and i'm able to use the stock ROM however certain things don't work, like when launching the quick remote app, it says "SIM not ready", or stock video cannot play "Unsupported file type" error, and most importantly I'm not able to get any service.
The good part is, my wifi is working. So next I tried to root, however I get this a "unable to open /system/xbin/su: no such file or directory" (i'm attaching the photo for reference).
Thanks for any other tips of directions.
remove sim card and reinsert try that. Not working.
also check your imei. If its not there you may need to recover it from a twrp backup, (recover the efs that is) at least from the time you had no issues. Not working?
Also I read nothing about wiping. (wipe everything except internal sd) before performing a clean instal. Check for same issues, not there victory.
be carefull with full backups, they might contain the issue you are experiencing.

I am not very familiar with your model. But on the d802 there is a small slot on the side of the phone with a small hole. With the phone in box was a small metal device which you could poke in hole and the slot would open. Maybe other user could confirm.
Did you backup your twrp backup of the phone? Then now is also the time to put it back if the tot method deleted it.
Anyway did you check your imei, (dial *#06#, it should show your imei). usually when service is lost there is something wrong with imei, or simcard.
imei can be recovered by the efs backup in a twrp backup. Simcard via putting out back in, reboot, etc.
