rooting 4.4.2 on LB

hi there is a new root toolkit i found on android police that called towelroo.
its made for galaxy line but the dev said it suppose to work on all phones and it is working on xperia z ( C6603) on 4.4.2 (10.5.A.0.230)

Yes, it can root My Xperia Z 4.4.2 LB. super Su has been down loaded manually from playstore manually. The device gain root access, but super su cannot update binary. My only wish for rooting is to change system font and to backup TA partition, so after doing these, i unroot the device. Thats all OK.

download supersu from http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu and update binaries

Root G3 without pc (Kingroot)

Hi folks. Just tried and tested and i can confirm its working
Root is ok on v20i lollipop with latest apk of kingroot
Also works on kitkat firmwares
Procedure
Enable usb debuging
You must be connected to the internet
Download apk
Start apk and tap root device
If it fails on first time just try one more time
Cheers and enjoy

Hi. will this work on my Sony Xperia T2 Ultra? I rooted it before using kingroot 4.1.2 and it was successful but I cannot use my camera...

working on Z Ultra , but after 2 days , TWRP gone but root still be there , weird.

What device are u using?

aaaaaaaaaand no love for the AS990...

I'm using also d855 32gb with v20i and its working for me. U must be connected on internet and try few times. For me i got root on second try

Mines is 16GB, dunno if that matters. Only tried twice.

First time didn't work but second time did work

EDIT: It installs 'Kinguser' app instead of SuperSU. Tried to install SuperSU from PlayStore - didn't work,
but root is there

The fact that you can't use a different SU app strikes me as very strange. AVG mobile flagged the installer app as suspicious as well.

I want to confirm once more - Kingroot works on my d855 v20i TWN
SuperSU swap instead of Kinguser works with above tutorial

This worked on my d722 lollipop. Any idea on how to switch from kinguser to supersu? It updates the binary but supersu keeps saying i need to update the binary

U dont need supersu app. Its same thing as kinguser. U get su access anyway. U can delete app which is with chinese name or keep it. This app manages autostart installed apps and running processes. Or u can use any other app 4 that. As 4 antivirus is false positive. Mcafee has reportet it once als threat but on second install didnt report anything.

Didn't work on my D852 and V20f. I had to use the manual method in the download mode.

I know I protested, but decided to play around today. Updated my phone (f460k) to 20j and tried king root. After about 20 tries it stuck. Converted to supersu and everything is running smooth

Confirmed... This works on the latest D855 V20i (TWN) model phones though it took me 3 tries to get it going. If it fails, just try again but make sure you phone is connected to the internet.
I then used this link to replace with SuperSU http://zidroid.com/how-to-get-ride-and-replace-kinguser-with-supersu-app/ and then the 'autorec' app to install TWRP. Worked fine...

Steps
1.Install latest kingroot.apk from attachment(if you have problem with v4.6, try v4.5) and install it into your handy
2.Open the app and click "try to root"
3.Let It Settle (it can be take 2 min or more according to your internet connection)
4.After 3.Step;install Super-SuMe from attachment
5.Open SuperSu me,give the app permission and click to Blue Button.Let It Settle
6.Now Open SuperSu and update his Binaries (via normal)
7.Thats all.It is very easy.Now your handy has root and SuperSu app.
Note:
1)Kinguser app (after 3.Step it creates a app like SuperSu) is enough for rooting but If you want to use SuperSu app on your handy,you should follow the other steps.
2)After Reboot Kinguser app comes back.Don´t give a permission to Kinguserapp

-Go to root/system/app/Kinguser
-Delete the FOLDER of Kinguser(include kinguser.apk)
-Reboot

EXTRA INFO: install busybox then download XZRECOVERY to get dual recovery if you're on 5.0.2

What is the point of installing super sume ?
I installed supersume pro but it says need to uninstall kingroot and does nothing.
Supersume pro not good, just install supersume and all fine

Guys, I have a big problem. I installed Kingroot, it worked, and then I installed and started SuperSU ME. It did something for a while, but after that nothing so I stopped it and restarted phone. Now I do not have kingroot and root access, but kingroot is showed installed as a system app in settings»apps. When I install/update kingroot it doesn't show in app drawer, and if I start SuperSU ME it doesn't do anything. I don't have a root access, so pls help!

You need to install new rom now.Dont use new versions of programs, use ones from second post here-old versions.
Use kingroot 4.5, 4.6 didnt work for me had same problem.Reinstalled romnand did step by step from video and all done

Think not, at least I couldnt find any.supersume deletes kingroot and you cannot uninstall it any more.Backup all your apps and reinstall.Than go step by step and you are done

Don't worry you can still use kingroot afterwards. Just update and re-root

I am having the same problem, please let me know if you have any progress. I rooted using KingRoot then I got system message warnings about my rooted device which I ignored later I updated and tried to re-root and KingRoot says root strategy unavailable I have tried root methods like KingRoot, KingoRoot (App and PC version) iRoot and Framaroot.

we just hv to wait for Kingroot to come up with a newer root strategy

after update it show me message to ''uninstall the root app''
i well skip this message.

I'm not a fan of KingRoot at all.
I use the Wondershare PC Software. And when it's done, It also installs SuperSU afterwards purely for Root Management.
I know that there are those who are successful with KingRoot and I'm happy for them but, i, personally, find that KingRoot makes more work than really needed.
This is purely my opinion and recommendation.

if you have custom recovery then first delete king root and download magisk zip file and then go to recovery...and flash magisk and reboot..your phone is rooted now
