My themes are working but i have one problem - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good day guys,
I am a noob.. sorry if i could not explain my problem well.
I have Note 4 (N910C)
I rooted my phone.. and followed these steps to get Galaxy S6 themes, check the link below
http://getgoogles.blogspot.in/2015/03/how-to-install-galaxy-s6-themes-on.html?m=1
Everything worked perfectly.. however, after applying the theme, when i go to ( settings, call log, and messages) they are still touchwiz shape.. they did not change to the theme shape..
In galaxy s6, when i apply the iron man theme for example, every tiny part of the phone changes to the theme shape including the call log and settings and messages.. but in my Note 4, these did not change.. they stayed on their touchwiz shape
Is there anything i can do to fix this??
Thank you so much

I have a similar problem. My phone just updated to the Marshmallow version, which introduced the new Marshmallow default theme, but left some of the previous 'Pisces' theme icons unchanged! I then installed a new theme, which did NOT change the icons (which were still part Marshmallow default, part 'Pisces'), and, on top of it, resulted in a big black space down one side of the screen (as if that theme was not correctly sized). Restarting the phone or deleting any/all themes did not help. I'm livid as the display is now a complete mess. Can anyone help with this please?

TabletUI VS PhabletUI Vs PhoneUI

So Actually I was going to write a thread about the two themes present in the samsung's TouchWizUI: White and Blue.
My Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 i.e. tab shows me only white theme while the phones shows the blue one.
But while messing with the LCD density I found that the firmware Actually has both of the themes.
so I started experiments on my tab with different LCD Densities and found that while we have both of the themes but we actually have all the three UIs with us too.
It's been the 4.1.1 update that made me loose my fav tabletUI and make it to the PhabletUI.
By changing Lcd density, we can see the changes in the UI.
Please see the attachments for Screenshots.
Range:
Below 140 is the TabletUI with the white theme.
Between 140 and 160 is the PhabletUI with white theme
Above 160 is the PhoneUI with the BLUE theme
though changing LCD density to other than 160 will make the touchwiz home and keyboard app to crash.
but using alternatives [launcher and keyboard app] can make it cool.
also densities greater then 160 [phoneui] will also cause the camera app to crash and the UI will change the camera Icon with a cute little green android.
Review:
TabletUI:
1) Samsung white theme is seen
2) There is no bar on the top
3) Notification bar opens from bottom
4) Battery percentage Is displayed
5) Even on rotation to the landscape, button bar [The one with the back, home and recent buttons on, sorry don't know the name for it] stayes at the bottom
6) In lockscreen only bottom bar is present
PhabletUI:
1) Samsung white theme is seen
2) Bar on either side of screen i.e. Notification bar on top and the action bar [let us give it a name] at bottom.
3) notification comes from top
4) notification bar doesn't fill the screen
5) no battery percentage indicator
6) On rotation each bar stays at there respective position.
7) lock screen differs from tabletUI as there is only top bar not the bottom one.
PhoneUI:
1) Samsungs's beautiful blue theme is seen.
2) UI almost same as PhabletUI with each bar on either side of the screen
3) Notification fills the home screen like what happen in a phone
4) When orientation changed to landscape, the Bottom action bar shifts to the right
5) Gestures in the bottom bar used to open google ow is not present.
6) Battery indicator is blue in color while it is green on the other two modes
7) When connected to PC via USB, Battery indicator neither shows a cross mark nor it shows charging.
8) Settings menu now don't have the dual panel
9) Camera icon replaced by android icon
100 Camera app is crashed
I also see a little performance boost when in phoneUI made.. may be because of no TouchWiz mode.
[Note:
Remember to install a launcher before changing the LCD density because it will make your TouchwizUI to crash and you will not able to select your apps from the app drawer.
Rather you can also put your build.prop editor in the homescreen shortcuts so than you can use it from there. but make it before the changes, you will not be able to make changes in homescreen shortcuts as it is a part of TouchWiz home and on opening, it will crash.
Your replies are appreciable.

This is why its best not to mess with stuff you dont understand lol... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2081640
Easiest way to change modes is to use a custom ROM. AOKP being the better choice. DPI changer built into the ROM If you wish to add a custom theme ( set it to 159, default being 160) and you can switch modes via ROM control and a quick reboot. I'm sure the OP knows what hes doing , just giving some advice to less experienced users.

I know that custom roms have better control on modes but the motive of this post to tell others that we already have the three modes with us along with the two themes ON STOCK ROM.
For those who don't want to shift to a custom rom or argue that we lost our UI after updates. This post is for them.
Less experience lol
I agree with you totally , but the amount of threads in this forum where people have messed with stuff not knowing what they are doing are plenty. Hey I was one of them when I joined the forums :crying: I've had bootloops by the dozen and even totally bricked a device by flashing the wrong thing on to it , an expensive mistake to make.
I actually like the stock ROMs , just that i prefer total control over the ROM i use, a personal choice ....same as yours ! I was just offering advice to new users. Basically make sure you know what you are doing before you do it or use something that's designed for the job if you dont.
Finding out how to recovery from a bootloop and how to restore a device from a nandroid is a must.
I do find it strange why people stay on stock , not even with root access.Surely that's what the spirit of Android is about, what makes our tabs different from the locked down nature of the iPad. Obviously its the users choice as they paid for the device , just an observation.
Have fun with your DPI

we won't learn to stand unless we fall.
okie I was infant about the bootloops. but I've learned from it.
I've previously use many custom roms and flashed my xperia many times. even bricked it a lot. Flashed , bricked and recovered.
I guess thats how u learn.
and regarding staying at stock was because this tab and its TouchWiz is new to my hand and want to learn it before trying something.
Trust me custom roms are not so far from me.
Amen brother ! If you have never had a bootloop you're not an Android fan
I actually got the phone UI by mistake on AOKP M1 > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33898491&postcount=440 ,seems really strange on a tablet. But was fun messing with it. As for stock....Just about to flash the new official-ish JB on to my tab and give it a spin , be rude not to IMO.
Get a custom ROM on your tab you will love it, what you got to lose ? Can always flash back.
If you are concerned about warranty issues > http://www.xda-developers.com/android/triangleaway-reset-flash-counter-tool/ :good:

[Q] Xposed module not changing colors?

Hi,
I have a Galaxy S4 running Sammy Deluxe S5 ROM. However I love the look of material design in android L but will loose S4 features including the camera app, if I were to install an stock google rom and theme it, I had pacman ROM for start and being new to custom roms I didn't realize that i'll get rid of all S4 features so installed teh Sammy Deluxe S5 ROM as it's based on touchwiz.
I instead have started changing the theme by installing go launcher and using a android L icon pack (android L launchers aren't as feature rich as go launcher). I've also used wanam xposed to change the color of the notification draw however there are some issues.
Everything looks fine except the draw handle (blue bar at the bottom of drawer) is still the same S5 colors and with brightness slider enabled there is a white line above the notification bar but that goes away if I disable the brightness control but I've installed Icontrol centre to get around that issue until I can find a way to fix it properly.
Is there anyway I can manually theme the phone, I've started looking at APK modding and have looked through the ROM files but can't seem to find anything to change the colors of the notification drawer. Even better would be if there is any other xposed module that can theme more expects of the galaxy S5 also would be nice to theme the settings too.

Use Gravity Box or Wanam Xposed for theming.
Not all modules are compatible with android 4.3 or 4.4

Lolipop statusbar and notification drawer

Hello everyone,
I have the last CyanogenMod 12 nightlie build (cm-12-20150207-NIGHTLY-jfltexx). My phone is a I9505.
I have a problem with the status bar and the notification drawer, because they are not as large for the screen ! (look at the attached files)
I have tested many Lolipop roms and I still have this problem.
Do you think it is really a bug, or a very ugly choice from google?
Can I enlarge them to match with my screen's witdth?
Thanks a lot for your answers all.
Since it's the same on multiple roms it must be how the OS is. Common sense.
That's how the design is. That's how google made it look.
Maybe samsungs touchwiz will be different.

Themes on s7 edge.

Hi,
I've owned my s7 edge for approx 4 months now and have been customising it. No rooting.
My question is on Themes.
My understanding these Themes in the Theme Store are by Delelopers ?
I believe Samsung Limit the Developers on what a Theme can change ?
Are these Themes vetted by Samsung ?
I was using the SB - Simply Basic Theme which is a Dark Theme for a while.
Yesterday some of the features on my phone froze.
I.e.
Double tap of home button wouldn't launch camera. Setting to allow this was On. Even turned it off, rebooted phone and back On but point blank refused to work.
Two finger swipe down from top of screen wouldn't work. One finger action did but then wouldn't let me bring the section section down.
The settings cog wheel in the top right hand corner would not launch. The down ^ would not work.
The steps I tried were...
Clear System Cache = No change.
I then considered a Factory Reset but before going through that I deleted my last apps = No change.
Toggled off the Theme and rebooted and it unfroze.
Now this may have been just a glitch and not the Theme.
Before I contact the developer I just wanted to put it out here to see if anyone else has had any issues using Themes in general.
Are there Pro's and Con's.
I wanted a Dark Theme as its suggested these can reduce battery drain as they are then turned off pixels using less than the white Ui Marshmallow uses.
Is this true ?
Is the saving minimal?
Thank you for reading and any personal experience and insight is welcomed.

Dark Background and Light Text without inverting colors in settings

I'm one of those lucky people who gets chronic migraines. The primary trigger for me is bright light... especially looking at bright, white screens with black text. Consequently, I've spent quite a bit of time trying to invert screen color... which is fine unless you are looking at pictures or video.
I know that I can change my Note 4 settings to invert the colors, but that simply isn't practical. I've been able to get some of the modifications I need by swapping out applications. For instance, I use Chomp SMS and have found a great plug-in for firefox that inverts the color without inverting the images. I've also been able to make some system mods through Xposed using Wanam's module. But these are only bandaids. I'm really looking for something that will work system-wide, for light text and dark background.
My phone is a Sprint Galaxy Note 4 running Lollipop 5.1.1. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would upgrading to Marshmallow help? Or how about changing out the ROM?
If nothing that would work systemwide, does anyone have a suggestion for an email app that will invert the text color? The stock Samsung email app is really tough for me.
Any help will be much appreciated.
