4.4.4 vs 5.0.1 vs 5.1.1

Hello,
I am a SM-N910C user. I bought my phone and it had 5.0.1. The performance was great, so was the battery life. Then after a month later, I received the 5.1.1 update, updated, then instantly downloaded Wanam ROM. Currently, I am losing 1% of battery every 4 minutes SOT. My cousin is losing 1% every 7-8 minutes, who has a S6. I know the battery life on 5.0.1 is better, right? But not the performance. Also, I have read that 4.4.4 has the best battery life, but what about the performance? I am still new to the Note 4, but I really need help from you brothers on this. I want someone who knows enough about this device to tell me what I will lose or win if I update or downgrade through any of these OS versions. The best will be posted here in the Original Post for everyone else to see.
Thanks in advance!

I have the ATT n910a, and we just got the 5.1.1 update Friday. The battery life now is MUCH better than on 5.0.1. 5.1.1 seems to be very close to 4.4.4, but 4.4.4 may still have been a little better.
AFAIK, the only differences between 4.4.4, 5.0.1, and 5.1.1 is battery life, performance and Stagefright patches.
4.4.4 was slow, but great battery. I'm not sure if it was vulnerable to Stagefright though.
5.0.1 was faster, but had a ton of system bugs, which affected memory and battery. Later patches were made to fix Stagefright.
5.1.1 is the fastest and has most of the major bugs patched.
Other than all that, Lollipop in general brought the new Material color theming.

s4 i9500 good battery rom ?

Plz suggest me a good battery life touchwiz rom for samsung galaxy s4 i9500 ?
i just started using Kushan lite version ROM i am happy when i get down to 20% i go into ultrapowersaving and that can last for more than a day until i get to a charger.
Its touchwizy without the bloatware from Samsung
I would suggest getting a new battery like zerolemon or something trustworthy +200/300mah make a huge difference trust me

Is there any S6 rom that does not have the battery drain bug? Can KK be installed?

I'm referring to the battery drain bug that keeps the radio on, introduced by Google in Lollipop and which continued to this day (thousands of reports):
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=165558
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=190396
I have a Galaxy A5 and have this bug too with Lollipop (but I can downgrade to Kitkat). I'm considering buying a Galaxy S6.
- Can KitKat be installed on S6? (KK does not have this bug)
- Is there any S6 rom (potentially compiled from modded sources) which patched this bug?
Cheers in advance!

no and no...but you still have the fast charging feature which make the battery drain not a big deal (i know it is really bad bug)
What about this patch? It was made into an Xposed module as well.
EDIT: I just found reports of Galaxy S6 owners who report that the Xposed module fixed it for them:

So it looks hopeful. I may bite the bullet and try it.
It seems that CM is going to implement his patch and the devs found it to improve things: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/107828/
There's no bug on S6.
But if you want a good battery performance, you shouldn't buy S6. It has a terrible battery life.
No drain for me with forcedoze app, no root
The two google code bugs I linked to in my 1st post show plenty of reports saying S6 is affected by the radio on bug the same as other devices. It's a bug in the OS that is triggered only if 3g/4g radio is used for data, the radio is never switched off after that.
If you never activate 3g/4g data then you will not see a problem.
I've never had an issue with this bug, or atleast the drain hasn't been noticeable. s6 MM 4-5 hours of SOT a time
Check this thread.
The Android OS battery draining bug still exists on my S6 even after two factory resets.

Hi guys..im on 5.1.1 and the battery life sucks bigtime..due to cell standby. Is there any new updated fix for this? I tried solutions posted on youtube but no luck. I love my note 4 but this is killing me!! Thanks
Why not update to 6.0...? It might fix your issue with doze...
Sorry what do u mean by doze?

Doze is new feature in all.6.0.1 marshmallow devices by default to save battery life and apps optimization.
Lollipop is a mess the worst update ever for note 4 in.my opinion.
I recommend you 6.0.1 or 4.4.4 kitkat for better battery life.
Ok..are any of you having problems with the battery on 6.0.1??
