Having had my white Galaxy S2 for about a month, I have actually gone off the white colour and now wish I had a black handset. It's a shame as when I first got my phone I was in love with the white colour and I was one of the first to get one of the white handsets on release day.
It's stupid I know but I wandered if anyone had a similar feeling and wished they had the other colour to the one they bought?
Anyone want to do a swap? Lol

You can always get a black case (SGP or any other) and get SGP's Black Glass Screen protector for the front. Now you have a black phone! They also give you a black piece to cover your home button. Now you can switch in between your mood. That is what I am going to do. I hear what your saying though. I love my white one but sometimes I want the black front.

That's not a bad plan. I like the fact that you could choose between the two depending on what you fancy at the time.
GOD! i love my white S2 after years of nothing but black black black , I have had three back S2`s and the silver trim around the edge of the white S2 really does looks the dogs bollics.
But each to their own
A nice sleek silver phone would be lovely but i like my black GS2.

I absolutely love the look of the white GS2, but I went with black for two main reasons. First, (and maybe you can confirm this), I read that the smooth back on the white version made the grip less sure compared to the rough back on the black. Second, as much as I love the look, I'm not really the type that likes to stand out too much, and a black smartphone is a lot less attention-grabbing than a white one, even if the latter is beautiful. Plus, I saved about $30 based on the best prices I could find when I bought. Okay, that was three reasons I guess, so sue me.
But yeah, the white usually costs a bit more, as you can see here already, you won't have any trouble trading someone.

It's all a matter of preference. Go for it if it makes you happy. I know a lot of people including me who's like white one. Problem is that option was not available locally and I wanted a phone with warranty.

Haha that's exactly what I keep getting told. Which has put me off the white. Don't get me wrong, I still like the look of it but would much prefer the black.
I prefer the Black as I have got a Black One all my phones have either been Black or Silver.
My colleague just got a White one and It kinda looks Odd compared to mine so quite happy

Argh, my first white phone and I love it.
But today I somehow got ink on my hands from a badly made pen and must have picked up my phone,
ink marks stay on the phone and are NOT easily wiped off.
Went from screen cleaner -> lens cleaner -> flash -> Mr muscle, which FINALLY did the job.

I got the white sgs2 after waiting for one month. I love it. I'm happy that I waited for it and didin't buy the black one. Looks awesome in white.

Advice:
If you really didn't like the prints and think you wanted white
Would you:
1. Do nothing. The case will fix that and the blue part above and belowbthe screen will look fine
2. Get Phantom Skins on the back from the mall and that will take care of the prints
3. Would you return it now if there was any fear of being stuck with this too long before the white one is around

I saw it in an article "july 11th" but all the reps at t-mobile store kept telling everyone august...lol i think they were just trying not to lose the sale, but then again with everything getting delayed maybe they're right...

I own the Blue S3 and have played with the White S3. I personally think the White S3 is the better looking of the two. But I buy black electronics and pretty much everything matches.
I'm annoyed that Samsung just didn't do a black phone and thus forced me to wait two weeks for the replacement cover Blue S3s to come into stock. A few times where I was tempted to get the White one.

That along with the buy it now ebay fee wouldn't allow me to make much, so it prolly easier to simply return and wait for white, huh? ...and leave the unlocking and selling to when I really want a new phone

LOL. Couldn't help but laugh a bit.
Some of us are just naturally greasy people. I wash my hands constantly(germ-a-phobe) but still grease up anything shinny. My roommate hates when I mess when his phone lol.
Blue is better
I bought the white version coz the blue wasn't available yet. It was fine but deep in side i wanted the blue!
A friend of mine had the blue but wanted the white so i traded mine with his and everyone were happy!!
The blue is more sexy, light from capacitive buttons and LED notification is more solid. U say the blue is a fingerprint magnet but u could easily clean it but the white easily stains from cases and use.
IMO stick to urs!!
I have both blue and white, use the blue because the white looks way too childish when outside, the sun makes the plastic shine like a toy.. blue handles it better and I don't see any fingerprints on mine tbf .. maybe it just doesn't bother me that much)

Hi, apologies as I know not everybody in the world would have been aware of the delay of the UK release. The Galaxy S3 Blue version was delayed due to the back battery cover having poor coatings and blotches. Whole shipments had to be recalled and replaced. It took me two weeks after the expected launch of the S3 to get my phone (although I could have switched to the white version within a week). If Samsung just stuck with plain black, then they didn't have to worry about sub-par quality of Pebble Blue paint. And I would not have to settle for the Pebble Blue.

I currently have a case for my phone and a screen protector.
I'm afraid I don't know much about the US price plans concerning the S3. I bought mine outright/unlocked in the UK because I'm moving to Hong Kong for a year. If I weren't I would have gone with a 2 year contract. Especially a recent deal for Groupon £19/month for Unlimited Data, 5000 mins and 5000 texts.
The blue looks purple under certain lighting conditions.. And not a nice purple.. My only qualm with the phone. Otherwise it is the best phone I have ever owned. Make that the best device / gadget I have owned..

Bought blue - still laughing about the purple home button - case on the back, so don't see the reflection of my neighbours.
Ignore it as I'm not a woman, with pink nails, and thus enjoy the phone for what it is - couldn't care for the looks as much as some do.
I actually really like my white one.
I prefer the white as well. I would buy black if they had one, but the blue/cobalt/purple isn't my thing.

I have marble and pebble... Marble makes iphone fanboys go crazy jealous and want to sell their iphone in a second and take GS3. The pebble one is just not that attractive like a semi popular smartphone with a great potential to get his light of the day .

I'm going to buy LG G2 soon and I was 100% sure that I will get the white color but alot of people said that they have a black version or would go for a black if they were to choose. So now Im not sure which one to get.
For me personally the white one looks more premium and the big display pops out even more than on the black version. Also the fingerprints wont show as much as on the black one. The black one looks kinda ordinary, like every other phone.
But what do you think?

But by all means, Black all the way... just my opinion, of course.

Of course I mean just the black color, like most of the phones are black maybe thats why the white one looks differend. But G2 by itself is an unordinary phone The edge to edge display looks just amazing on that body And the back buttons are interesting, I'm used to buttons on the side and top so I'm kind of curious if I will get used to them But we will see.

Thank you, yeah on the black one you actually cant see as clearly how big the display is. But its because of the contrast that the white one looks better.
Personally I think the back buttons could look better, if they would be black like they are on the red or gold variants, it would be perfect. But its a phone, so you will barely look at the back. So it kinda doesnt matter. Front is most important

Doesn't really matter to me I suppose since I keep it inside the TPU of the Slim Armor case and I hardly ever have the bare phone in my hand for whatever reason. I just prefer Black as a color - to me it looks better on the face of the device with the display being the only thing that should be "lit up" or bright in color. Just a personal preference, nothing more.
Yes you are right, I will use a case too so it doesnt matter that much anyway. I have bought a flip case and some ultra thin case, looks cool Yea actually as you said, it looks good when its all black and only the display lits up. Both colors look good for me.
Btw, do you guys use screen protector?
i got black one..maybe white is more modern but black gives it more.. how i can say..prestige dunno lol..well mostly i got black cause i play games also and in my opinion colors on screen look better with black than on white.. you know the contrast on the eye..using a spigen slim armor now and looks great.

I have a Zagg screen protector on mines. I got it at radio shack for like $3.00

Yes I think I know what you mean, some people said to me it looks more "elegant" to them. But I think so does a white one, for me even more elegant Well the display is perfect so I dont think it will be a difference. Just that on white one you can see the frame of the display. Ortherwise it should be the same.
Where did you get spigen case btw? Is it original or fake one?

Yes me too. I bought a transparent ultra slim case, which will go also well with the white, but maybe I will get a black one as well. I also bought a flip case, so I will have to try both to see which is better. And I was also thinking about spigen case, it looks really cool and it should protect the phone a lot more than others cheap and thin cases.

I ended up with the Incipio DualPro. Doesn't add much bulk and feels good in the hands. The only thing I had heard about the Incipio was to stay away from the white case, It gets dirty easily.
Thats probably a good thing to do in general, to stay away from white cases But i would get the spigen one instead of incipio. This one looks kinda ordinary. And black color. White phone + black case = the best combo
I'm considering getting G2 as a second phone for various reasons because it's really cheap. I want to buy white version because I hate black ones due to a lot of fingerprint smudges and dusts that I always have to wipe constantly, otherwise I would be really annoyed.
But we all know that the white G2 has the white border or outline around the screen, so from pictures I see online, it looks really weird and ugly. I want to know your opinion if it actually bothers you when using it? I do a lot of home screen customizations and designs, and I'm wondering if the black outline will make the home screen design ugly.
I really hope to hear your opinions, if you have the white one!

The black border is very thin and it's spaced evenly so you don't notice it at all in person. Pictures make it seems more pronounced than it is. Go for it.

I want to buy a new one on Aliexpress and i have 2 questions.
1. Is it better to buy the screen with the frame or just digitizer and screen and if anybody changed theirs if you have any advice.
2. I hade a white/rose gold combination and now i would like to buy black front instead of the white one. I think that there is no difference but i would still like to ask if i would have any problems just becouse of the color?

1. I suggest you get the one with the frame > much more easier than without it, and removes the possibility of making a horrible mistake.
2. I don't think the colour will cause any problems, it's much more easier to manufacture the same screen with multiple colours than to make totally different screens. So I think you are good to go. But I can't cover my opinion with a fact, so there's that.

Hi its better to buy one with a frame and the color doesn't matter but since you have the gold version. I would suggest you stick to the white its looks much better. I did the same an bought an LCD with frame from Aliexpress and replaced it myself. Here is a video that will help you disassemble your phone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_VMcIX0hJY I would suggest you first watch the video before you start. I did the same before i started. You can follow and pause at each step. Good Luck. Its an easy task but one point to note is the fingerprint sensor is easy to jump out of its connector. I would advise to test the screen before you screw the phone back up.
