Android beam won't turn off bluetooth - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi xda!
All is said in the title: I transfer all things possible with android beam. It activates the bluetooth but when the transfer ends, the bluetooth won't turn off itself. I have already deleted the data of bluetooth app and makes some reboot and baterry pull out.
Please help me!

Update: I was wrong: the bluetooth won't turn off automatically just after I transfer a file or receive a file (so the bluetooth disables automatically for a Web link transfer for example).
Please help me!

OBEX Transfer via Bluetooth

Hi all !
Anybody were able to transfer files via BT between PC and TyTn ?
I cannot....
Help, please.
i'm no problem to do that....
try to check the beam option ON and make sure that BT in ON and visible...
try with this...
cheers
Bubu
BT doesnt neet to be visible except you didnt pair the device once. So after paring the device you can make the TyTN hidden and you are able to send files trough OBEX. Worked well since i am transfer some files

My laptop and Hermes are both paired and can do ActiveSynch via BT. But when i try from PC explorer "Send To -> Bluetooth" it does not work.
It says "File transfer service is not found on the device.". After i turned on "Receave all beams" it did work fine. I thought that this is for infrared only.
Am i correct here ?
you need to have this activated, otherwise you arent able to receive bt obex files. Its both BT and IR.

Bluetooth 'discoverable' always on?

Hi all,
Searched under 'bluetooth' with no obvious joy.
When I turn on bluetooth I have to manually make sure that the device is discoverable every time if I want to receive via bluetooth. Is it posible to make the device 'discoverable' automatically when I simply turn bluetooth on?
Thanks.
Matt
Well I'm surprised at you all! lol.
Sorry guys, been away (pc problems!! still ongoing but at least now I can connect to www) so not been watching the site.
Anyone any ideas on this?
Matt
I think you have to tick "receive incoming beams" under connections

All I did was go into bluetooth settings, make discoverable, and everytime I power on my BT Headset, it automatically connects.

Is beam receive switched off? This has been a very common problem with WM5 users before I've published the fix to it.

It should connect every time you power it up - even without your PDA being discoverable.
Hello!
Unfortunatley ihave the same issue when i'm connecting using Stereo BT Nokia BH-501. The problem is that each time after the BT is switched off and then switched on i need to go to Bluetooth settings and make an update for it and save. Only ofter these steps it reconnects to Hermes (HTC TyTN) and starting to play sounds and music through BT
Is it possible to make it fully reconnect automatically after it is switched on and how?
Thanks!
VJVolubilis can force you into discoverable mode from a shortcut, so you can drop that into your startup folder, but it's not advisable to keep yourself discoverable unless required.

Hey VJ
I just tried that... I made a shortcut with the -bluediscoveron paramenter and removed the -status parameter. I dropped it in my Windows\Startup folder.
It doesn't seem to be working, When I turn on my BT, Dicoverable Mode is still OFF. However after, I enable my BT and then click on the shortcut with -bludiscoveron parameter, it works.
Is there anyway to have Discoverable Mode on even after I turn off my BT and then on again?

bluetooth mac

Im tryin to send some pictures via bluetooth to my mac.
I tried to go to the picture and hit share then bluetooth..but failed
I also downloaded the app bluetooth file which sends it but says it cant because of object push profile.
The computer is paired but wont really connect
My Headset bluetooth works fine.
Anoyone know how to fix this
i have a macbook and had the same problem, but its really nothing wow
Yo just have to go to System Preferences>Sharing> and check Bluetooth Sharing, then you have other options like: When recieving items: Ask What to do.
Yes
Thank You!

[Q] Reset Bluetooth settings?

Hi, I have a problem setting my S4 to autoconnect with my car bluetooth automatically. When I switch ON bluetooth I need the car to connect instantly, but it doesn't happen. Until I go to bluetooth settings and select the already paired device it doesn't start.
I've read that I need to clear the memory of the car and of the phone and start again. I've done that with the car's bluetooth, but I'm not able to do it with the phone. Do you know what do I have to do?
I'm root, by the way, so I can delete some folder or file if it's necessary.
Thank you
