Total brick - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a T-Mobile LG G2, I've tried to root it up it fails. After that it always stuck on T-Mobile logo.
I've tried using the power + vol down button, it goes to Factory Reset but after seeing a splash of Android Erasing, it boots and goes back to the T-Mobile logo and stays there forever. I've also tried the vol up but no dice.
How to fix this ?.
TIA,
John

Have you tried going into download mode, if you can, I think you can use LG flash tool and flash the .kdz for your model and it will restore everything like it was in the box, therefore you will loose all your data.

turn off the phone, hold volume + and power button, after press home when you see lights, maybe it will work
because vol - & power and home is factory resets
Thanks anyway

It does work, thanks. But there is another problem:Everything was fine, until i changed the boot logo to Xperia Play. But it simply stayed at the Sony erricson logo doing nothing at all.I tried pressing the screen and the volume buttons,it responds.Only the screen isn't.

Hello, I have seem to soft-bricked my device. I was installing a ROM using TWRP (I forgot the version) and it was taking a very long time, then I stupidly shut-off my phone, and when I turned it on, it was stuck on the LG logo. I cannot boot into recovery using Power + Volume Up button, and I have no idea how to fix this!
Thank you.
EDIT: Got into recovery. The whole /system was wiped, I re-flashed CM10.2, now stuck in boot loop of the Cyanogen Mod boot logo,

It would appear that I did something very similar and is stuck at the logo boot loop. How were you able to get back into recovery?

Do you have the LG bootlogo coming up, if so try this:
Turn off phone, then when off, hold down power and volume down button until it reaches the LG logo and then release and hold it down again, if that doesn't work, when just hold it down until you see a screen that says something like: Hard reset/ factory reset. For me it took me to my recovery screen, where I just flashed a older ROM onto it. I then later flashed a recovery file. I hope this helps, and if you need it any clearer, just reply

Thanks for the reply! I was able to get into the factory reset but had to follow slightly different instructions. The way I've seen it on most wiki sites is that you hold Volume Down and Power button at the same time until the LG logo shows up, then release them and press them down again. This never worked for me.
What I had to do was hold Volume Down and Power button until the LG logo shows up, then release ONLY the Power button while still holding the Volume Down button, then press the Power button again. This method got me into the factory reset consistently and was able to get back into recovery.
Best,
Colin

LG G2 VS980 not booting, system folder permission is changed accidentally
My LG G2 VS980 phone was rooted by myself. It was a factory unlocked phone. Then using Root Browser by JRummy apps i have removed some system apps and just for a try i have changed the permission settings of system app folder to ro. Then on reboot my phone was stuck, it turns ON and after LG and Verizon logo, says "unfortunately, phone has stopped" and i could see some basic apps such as file manager, calculator etc. but i cannot use the phone at all. It is stuck. How to get back to the original factory unlocked condition? Any ideas plz!

Recovery Problem

ok. i already tried The power button+volumn down release when LG logo appears then press power+volumn down again. but whats happening is that the LG logo keeps on looping unti i release the button it would boot normaly back to my system.
other on is when i boot recovery using an APP like rom manager it would boot to recovery TWRP normally..
and i can go to factory data reset when pressing power+volumn down. then when LG logo appear release and press volumn up + volumn down.
its weird because it differ from the other LG G2
my concern is what if i was stuck in bootloop i cant go to recovery using the power+volumn down..
does anyone has a solution for me?
does anyone has the same problem as me?
im using LG G2 F320s KitKat 4.4.2 already rooter

bricked, stuck at LG Logo after reverting back to jellybean (D801)

Hi so I have a T-Mobile LG G2 (D801) which has stock KitKat rom and rooted with custom TWRP recovery, I also installed autorec to fix download mode. I was trying to revert back to Jellybean 4.2 and I bricked my device. I followed this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
and used the kdz method. I held volume up button, plugged in the device, got download mode, tried flashing the file and got some kind of error, it was in korean so I couldn't read it. As it was flashing it went up to 6% on the device but thats when the Flashtool gave me an error. I tried to exit download mode by holding down the power button till the LG logo appeared. I did that and when it appeared I unplugged the device. However now the device won't shut off and is stuck at the LG logo screen. So I dissasembled the phone and unplugged the battery cable from the motherboard and it shut off. I then plugged it back in and tried to enter download mode, but nothing happens, it's stuck at the LG logo. If I hold it for 10 sec the screen turns black and LG logo appears again. I also tried holding it down and when screen turns black I hold down power+vol down (to get into recovery), screen turned on with LG logo and I removed both buttons and then held power button for 2 sec and that worked. And I tried to do a factory reset, but it basically freezes at that screen. It is stuck on “factory reset processing” for 20min now. Also I'd like to clarify that this is the stock recovery not the TWRP that I had installed. I tried double the power buttons 3 times in stock recovery to enter TWRP but nothing happens, it just says "factory reset processing".
I'm not sure what I should do now, is there a way that I can flash something via adb and load a custom recovery or rom? Or go back to stock rom?
Please help.

LG G6 h870 stuck in boot logo. can't go to download mode

I tried to flash a stock rom H87020i_00_PLS_PL_OP_0110.kdz using LG Up. It finishes smoothly but it stucked in logo. I tried restarting it using power button + volume down and tried to return back to download mode using volume up but it alway's continues to boot. Can anyone help me or is this already a bricked phone?
