First off may I know what model phone you have? Second, you will have to root your phone. If on KitKat use towel root. Second use Autorec *FOR YOUR DEVICE MODEL*. After that is complete download a bumped twrp for you device frome here http://blastagator.ddns.net/twrp.html . Flash the zip via twrp. After you have completed those message me back.

You need to also install the KitKat baseband. Go to download the lollipop patch from here http://blastagator.ddns.net/d800_rom_patch.php before you do that make sure you do a full wipe and then install the kitkat baseband, then theROM, and then lollipop patch. After that You should have not have a problem

So let me get this straight: Root » TWPR » bumped TWPR » KK Bootloader »Kitkat rom (where i find please ? ) - Cloudy 3.3 » Lolipop.
Is this?
And again.. thank you.

Omit the KitKat Rom. Also after flashing cloudly g3 you have to install the lollipop patch by blastgator.

[Q] TWRP vs CWM Recovery on VZW G2

Hey guys,
I currently am running Clean ROM on my Verizon G2, but saw that Team Gummy released a 4.4 ROM that I wanted to take for a spin. Anyway, in that OP it states that you can only flash that ROM from CWM and I currently have TWRP installed. So here is my question, is it possible to flash CWM from TWRP (like I used to on my GNEX) or do I need to remove TWRP and install CWM the way it's stated the in the development forum? Thanks!
**BUMP**
Can someone please chime in on this. I don't want to do something to brick my phone.
Yes, you can install cwm from twrp. Just find the version in a flashable zip format.
---------- Post added at 08:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:22 PM ----------
And after install reboot to recovery.
Or you can do it from flashify. You can switch back with it as well.

KK upgrade with root

Can i take the Ota or shall i use the LG tool, i dont want to brick my phone.
thanks in advance
You can update with root but if you custom recovery you will bootloop

The OTA update will refuse to install as you are rooted.... get the LG support tool and then run the update from there... it will stilll install despite being rooted....

Anyway I've rooted my LG with no problems, but I've been trying to install a custom recovery and a pond rebooting into recovery I just get secure booting error and the phone turns off,

Had the same issue a few days ago. TWRP, CWM, and Philz wouldn't flash properly, but I'm pretty sure it was my fault. Currently I have CWM installed by FreeGee (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=edu.shell.freegee_free).
WARNING: You should know that there is a risk with using FreeGee. If you don't plan to use download mode, you're good. But currently, I am without download mode after flashing. Still trying to figure out a way to fix it. System works, recovery works, but I cannot revert to stock at the moment.

OK, let's return to the start.
1. You're sure it's rooted and SU is working? Rootcheck is on the play store and you can use that to check
2. In FreeGee, did you tap on a recovery on the bottom? And did FreeGee freeze on this step? Did you give FreeGee root access/permission?
3. If FreeGee installed a recovery, it won't automatically reboot. Have you attempted to reboot into recovery? If you're not sure if it has installed, I would not recommend going through the hard reset page because if it's not actually installed yet, you would go through a factory reset. You could download an app to boot into recovery though (I.e. CWM ROM manager, TWRP, or quickboot. All free on the play store.)

Any easy way to install twrp?

I am aware of the guides the nice people have come up with but is there an easier way such as an application? I remember, before I flashed back firmware, it was ten times easier and required no adb or commands on my end. I also flashed it over CWM which I had at the time.
Thanks.

What ROM are you currently on? Are you rooted? If on a Jellybean ROM and rooted just use Freegee from the market to install latest TWRP or Cwm instantly with no fuss. If you are on a KitKat ROM you need to downgrade which can be a long process.

on the move..
ioroot to root
freegee to twrp
Back up EFS, and then back THAT up to your computer. THEN proceed to whatever it is you rooted for.
Definitely back efs up
on the move..

Any process for verizon g2 ?

lg ls980 not booting after flashing ROM

i flashed cloudy g3 rom on my lg g2 ls980 and after the installation is done device reboots
and the only thing i get after that its twrp interface.
i also tried cm12 after pushing the file with abd or sideload, when the install is done i get the same result.
device reboots and twrp interface comes back.
any help guys :/

Anyway, sounds like you didn't wipe system. Or using the wrong baseband. CloudyG2 requires ZVC (Kitkat) while CM requires ZV8.
