I'm on stock rooted lollipop BOE5, but gps ain't working although sky is not covered and I've also updated data with GPS toolbox... After 15 min still 0/0 satellites. Any clue?
Check your CSC code with phoneinfo app, and if is different change to original to your country and tele operater
Can anyone confirm that this works? I don't have csc for my country, so I flashed a rom closest to my country. Still no gps....

I have been using the fone for 3 weeks and now it lost gsm signal. Gps, wifi working fine. It is simlock free, firmware upgraded to latest, few factory resets still no luck. The signal icon shows normal signal but when you trying to ring it tell " mobile network not available" Many sim cards checked - nothing Is there any trick?
thank you

I did nothing am basic usher. No dropped, no experiments. Two days ego wake up and i cant ring.
Firmware upgrade official via Kies .??? Or Samsung stock firmware via Odin .
Correct CSC in phone for your country likewise correct modem.

It happened before upgrade, after upgrade no changes i did it via kies samsung stock firmware. I bought it in England i live in England. What that is CSC ?
Check with your network to see if the IMEI has been blocked. I've had this happen - it was an error on the networks part.
EDIT: ...I say network, but it was the the third party that provides the block list that really made the mistake (it was blocked on all networks for 2 weeks!)

I have a region free/unlocked N9005 and havent flashed any roms yet, its still stock rooted. I was thinking about flashing a rom but i am a little worried that flashing a rom that is based on the EU frimware might region lock my N9005. So my question is has anyone with a region free N9005 tried flashing a firmware of EU, where the N9005 is region locked? And what was their experience?
PS- i know CF made the regionlock away app but i would rather not have to use it, unless i have no choice.
Depends what rom you're talking about. If the dev is any decent they would have removed the region lock.
Sent from my SM-N9005 now Free
I got my N9005 from Hong Kong, thus region free. I flashed the Omega version 2.2 ROM yesterday and it worked fine. The only weird thing i noticed when i booted up the phone, was that my connection is always set to roaming since it thinks i traveled abroad or something. It however works perfectly, just a little annoying seeing the R icon next to the connection bars.
It worked normally before on the stock ROM with chenglus root+CWM, so i guess i just need to change the locale somehow for this to get fixed.
Hi.
I recently bought a Galaxy Note 3 which was, i think, imported from Iran. I upgraded the firmware/CSC/Modem to the Netherlands version of the rom available from SamMobile.com which is N9005XXUDMJ7_N9005PHNDMJ4_N9005XXUDMJ7_HOME.tar. After this my phone has the following info when I type *#1234#
AP N9005XXUDMJ7
CP N9005XXUDMJ7
CSC N9005PHNDMJ4
This is just like how it should be after upgrading to this rom. What I did afterwards is rooting the rom with Chainfire's root method, which works perfectly. But what I notice is that my GPS sometimes keeps telling me that I'm in Meer Jawe or other places in Iran. When I switch on WiFi it immediately switches back to the place where I am at that moment.
Does someone have any idea how this issue can be solved?
Install these 2 apps. Both free. Better GPS Fix. Open the app and set your continent and region closest to you. GPS Status and Toolbox. Open app, click Menu, Tools. Clear and re-download AGPS. Not sure which app to run first but it might not matter. If you have problems again in the future clear the AGPS and re-download again.
BTW you posted this in Themes and Apps section. Better to post in questions and troubleshooting
my advice, always get your phones in your country, above all, warranty , when you buy oversea, most likely, you will encounter problems that otherwise would be solved by warranty fron an authorized dealer, in my country, Mexico, Telcel carrier checks the IMEI, only that, no need to show a proof of purchase, and solves any issue within 10 days, I dont know how it is done in your country, but I know that in Europe ,law is more consumer oriented than my country´s, so, think about that for future phones
My N9005 had all ussd codes running when i bought it ( it was on stock mj1) , now after i rooted and flashed stock rooted odex mj7 from here the *#0*# is giving me "connection problem or invalid MMI code", though the carrier's USSD's are working fine (the one that gives us our remaining minutes and others)
I have no idea if my CSC changed during the process, but the rom was a full wipe rom
Any help?

Hi guys,
Sorry I just need a quick answer to this and I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere. I have a G935F on 3 UK firmware and I want to change the firmware to either BTU or XEU, as the updates are ridiculously slow on this software version. I have read in multiple places that the CSC code is hard coded and cannot be changed, and then other places say this is merely cosmetic and flashing a new firmware will enable you to get OTA updates from the new desired CSC code.
Please can somebody shed some light on this for me, if I flash BTU or XEU will I be able to get updates as normal, and also which is better to flash XEU or BTU. If anybody can advise would either of these packages allow VoLTE and Wifi Calling to work? 3 supports them on the firmware I am currently on, but I was unsure if unbranded firmwares would support this.
Thanks!

Hi if this is of any help i was on Vodafone and decided i didn't want there bloatware on here so i flashed the latest XEU as it was newer than BTU.
When i go into the phone app it shows me what my old csc was and the active one which is xeu you do get updates plus i got WiFi calling enabled still but had to get vodafone to activate it on my account again.
