I wanted to know if cm engine can be ported since yotaphone 2 rom is not heavily customised.

also I wonder whether it is possible to make the port the CM or miui firmware on our device? Even like the kernel source code is.
I´ll also interesting for a cyanogenmod or miui or oter costum rom for yotaphone 2, but i don´t find it. Can someone port cm etc. for yotaphone 2?
OK so we never got CM for Yotaphone but can we still play around with the stock software? Would be great if stock software were able to be modded with black background. The more black and white themed software we could get the better and easier it would be to use the back screen. The more contrast the better.
Please check for example SlimRom's "The real dark slim" theme. That would be perfect for two reasons: black uses less power on AMOLED screens and black and white Android theme would look perfect on back screen.
I tested to do a modded firmware (apps removed, some fonts tweak ....) with this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801690 , the firware generation is ok but the current TWRP can't flash it.
So if we can't found a way to flash it, it's useless

I don't own an S5 yet so I can't test out the current theme options but I'm hoping somebody can answer my question. I prefer the look of stock android over TW. As AOSP roms are fully working yet, is there a way to make the S5 look like stock android?
I know I can use a different launcher, many of which probably have a stock android theme. But.. do these themes change everything to look like stock android, such as the settings app, pop up windows etc? I looked in the Alliance Rom thread which has many theme options but I couldn't see a stock kitkat style theme.
Hello,
I am cursed with having GT-S7390 I've rooted it and installed CWM also installed a slim ROM from one of the threads on here but the phone is still slow.
So here's what I did I used RAM Expander pro and it made it slightly faster on optimal settings.
What I am looking for is further tweaking guides also theming for a semi-stock rom.
Bear in mind I've tried xposed and it barely supports TouchWiz ROMS if you've got a ready theme that would change the ugly dialer the colour of settings top menu etc please share it.
Also the mail looking with it's black background.
I've also tried theme chooser but still same thing. If anybody can port cyanogenmod or if anybody wants to test anything on these devices I am more than willing to help and I am a unix engineer so I have got some background how android functions..Still not a developer though.
I have tried several N7 ported roms, to name a few here:
Norma N7(v5-v10), Aurora N7(v2-v4), x-rom, Nemesis.
But I can't stop asking myself, what's the gain of a N7 rom compared to stock mm?
It seems the new features are:
1. full theme store support (while on stock mm there is no theme, or one can achieve partially theme store support through ported theme store).
2. AOD
3. egde feature
What else?
Hello
I just bought this tablet but I can't find theme store
Is there any way to work themes with this tablet?
Also is there a specific thread for this tablet?
Don't shoot me
me too
ive tried installing theme store after root but wont work. best i could do was root and install twrp then xposed and theme my status bar.. i cant even find roms apart from on Russian sites.
I am thinking about getting this tablet but it seems that themes are non existing. Also as noted custom roms are lacking. In comparison there are lots of developers on the S2. Unfortunately since I want a budget tablet for reading with decent specs and a slim rom like Lineage OS. But there only seems to be debloated or/and tweaked Touchwiz roms...
Hello.
Apart from installing a custom ROM, is there any way to get a bit more darker theme on menu and notification bar? Can an app do that work? A lot of Marshmallow (Android 6) phones have dark theme but from what I saw, Note 4 doesn't have this option. I have sensitive eyes and when it comes to bright white colors, it hurts my eyes.
Since I'm really bad with installing ROMs and root etc, what's the safest and easiest way to do it? Install LineageOS and then a custom ROM? Then I find a ROM (I guess Nougat or Oreo) and install it? Does the whole process requires root?
The easiest way would be to root with Magisk and then install an old version of Substratum, which is a theming app. Then you can add a dark Substratum theme. You just need to make sure that the theme is compatible with stock MM ROM, which only some are. They are called legacy themes. This would allow you to stay on your current ROM.
The best way would be to move to a custom Oreo ROM and use Substratum with a dark theme. FYI two of the custom ROMs I have tried have partial dark theming built in but Substratum extends this further into the system UI and will also completely theme many popular apps.
Just to clarify something for your own sake - LineageOS itself is a custom ROM and there are other custom ROMs that are based on it but have further custom features. These would be the only way to get onto Nougat or Oreo. The other stock-based Note4 ROMs do not go past MM as that was the last version released by Samsung.
Please note: if you are not confident in your ability to make these changes, please do not attempt them until you have thoroughly researched the methods to accomplish them. Otherwise you may break your phone! People here can help you, but you WILL need to learn at least some of the basics first.
Edit: you didn't mention which model you have. If it's a 910F, look here https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/themes-apps/utility-rom-control-note-4-stock-roms-t3586944
Check elsewhere in that forum for other solutions too. There may be others I'm not aware of as I never used this phone with MM.

If you have samsung marshmallow you can try "good lock" app. With this app you can choose "dark theme":
