You will get an update from samsung soon or else if you use custom roms, the developers will soon give an update..
Until then, don't open MMS from unknown no.,try to ignore MMS as much as possible.

Can anyone help me with something?
I need to see how the Nature UX UI looks like since I am making a theme for our phone. Can anyone please replicate the following pictures? I want to see how it looks like on your jelly bean phones... Thank you so much.!
Also, the popup that appears when you change media volume.
Any help is much appreciated.

Does firmware 4.1.2 allow support for multi window? I read somewhere that it does, along with a new gallery. Is this true?

so i got my s3 mini from a friend studying in dubai
phone was brand new in the box
looked legit
had all the right hardware specs and software and all packaged as expected
however
started looking at a few things in details for example the imei
there are a few websites where you can query your imei and see what output it gets
mine showed some other brand and model of phone
leading me to believe my phone is one of those cheap replicas
and yet the look and feel and performance seems legit

forum problem
Greetings all!
I am having a slight problem with the forum. I can't seem to stay logged in all the time, even if the box is ticked. From time to time I must reenter my credentials, and that is a [first world problem] I know but is there something others has experienced or is it just me?
On the side note, this occurs in latest stable Chrome, latest dev build chrome, as well as latest stable FireFox.
I never click the link to log out, I just close the tab/window. And it appears to be quite random too, that I must reenter my credentials.
Thoughts? Solutions?

[Q] Restart service after kill

Hi I want to start my service after it is killed by the user or the system.
I thought about creating a second app and monitor if the service is running and if not then start it.
The problem I have with that is
- I need two apps
- It drains more battery
I hope you can help me find the best solution for my problem
Yeah, I think if you override the onDestroy method on your service class, and then you can send a broadcast from there.
In your broadcast receiver you can start the service again.
Though i have never tried it myself, i think this should work.
Tell me how it goes
Happy coding!!

I thought about that too but unfortunately when the app is stopped by the user the onDestroy methode is not called...

I believe there is no such way... otherwise android would be very insecure for malware that just does this . You can only restart your service once the user restarts your activity, there should not be another way (and START_STICKY for the system of course). And please don't do two apps which listen for each other, if the user willingly kills your service they usually have a reason and expect that your app is not working right until they restart it.

I have heard that a lot but does that mean that all the security apps available on the play store can be killed by the user? :what:

Sure, why not? I could uninstall my firewall on my PC if I wasn't using Ubuntu and thus don't really need one

Just an idea, it might be possible when your app is a Device Admin with the APIs that you get with that. Though you have to read it yourself, I have no clue about how it works.

Thanks I will look at that. Most people have my app as Device Admin because that way it can't be uninstalled
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Well I found the solution.
When device admin is enabled the app can't be force-stopped or uninstalled. Then the user can only stop the service and then the onDestroy methode is called so then I can restart the service again. Tanks guys

Thank you for your reply
Is there any hints or opinions?
Thank you very much
Look how to put your screen over the native one when call is detected. This is the easiest way for you.
