how to get lockscreen wallpapers to display correctly in landscape (auto-rotation)?

i have enabled auto rotation (HD2 Stock ROM 3.14, Manila 2018) but don't like my portrait wallpapers to look distorted in landscape mode. this is most annoying since even CHT 1.8.5 wont allow you setting of a landscape wallpaper - at least not for the lockscreen.
is there a tweak or an app to prevent the wallpaper from going into auto-rotation/landscape mode?
or any other way to get my lockscreen to display proper wallpapers in both portrait and landscape?
thanks in advance!
if you use HDWall have you tried making a CAB with both Portrait & Landscape wallpapers & see how that does? When I had my TP2 I did that & there was no distortion or anything in the landscape wallpapers

Click to collapse
i am not a big fan of HDWall - it caused me a lot of trouble already. you sure it worked as a lockscreen (= windows wallpaper) as well? i remember this app being just for the Manila home screen and tabs... but i am not sure!?
isn't there a more subtle way using a reg tweak to stop the portrait wallpaper from rotating?

YouTube Widget Wont Work (Wrong Size)

When I removed my youtube widget from my homescreen i was working perfectly taking up 3x2 squares.
Now when i go to add the widget it shows it as 4x1 squares and it is squished and stretched.
Does anyone have a solution?

Landscape / Portrait remembering layouts and .......

hi
im looking for a app or way of setting my home screen to be layed out in
different ways depending on if im in landscape or portait
example
portait mode
clock widget at the top
battery widget underneith
icons underneith
Landscape mode
no clock
battery widget
wireless monitor
with all icons to the left of the widgets
i have come accross doing a .xml for portait and .xml or landscape but got the feeling this is for app developing not configuring the layout of widgets and icons etc...
cheers

[Q] Widget 1x4 size is changing to 1x5

I have tried multiple 1x4 widgets on my homescreen, but notice occasionally they will just auto resize to 1x5. If I start to do a resize on the widget, it will right away automatically snap back to a 1x4 size.
Any idea why this might be? I just want a clean simple well design 1x4 weather widget, but it keeps expanding to 1x5 in size.

How to change screen grid size?

Hi:
Just bought this one to my wife. However, there is something that's intriguing me: the screen grid is 5x5 instead of the traditional 4x4. An this is causing a few "bugs" on the appearance of some widgets she uses (Beautiful widget 4x1 and Jorte 2x2), like the text has overlapped letters, or the numbers of the clock on the beautiful widget are outside their place.
Any one knows a easy way to get back to the 4x4 (which i hope will solve this) ?
Change the screen resolution in display settings or set a custom one in developers options.
You can also try using Lawnchair launcher
Tried change the settings on the display settings, but no success. It keeps always the 5x5.
As for the developers options, it does not accept any number i try...it just reverts to the number it's there (currently 360).
Weird cuz i have mine set to 500dp
Confirmed that using display settings DOES change the scale on Oreo (Stable, final) 8.0.0
