I found that Xperia Z3+ Dual is Supporting quick Charge 2.0 :fingers-crossed:
I have contacted Sony Middle East in twitter and they said yes it is supporting
I have tested it now with Motorola Turbo (comes with nexus 6) and yes 9V on Sony and nexus 6
Nexus 5 shows 5V

Anyone familiar with the kickstarter project COBI?

Looks really nice for biking enthusiasts, only problem is that our Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is not supported at the moment.
If you also want support for the Z3C please vote here: http://eepurl.com/-x2zD

+1 That's going to be nice if it makes it to market. And with the Z3C being waterproof we wouldn't need and extra cover.
looks to be an innovative solution. One flaw is the Z3 needs to be in portrait to be visible with polarised sunglasses.
I've modded a Z3C as a bike computer and having good results so far
very interesting project, thanks for sharing
Good news guys, the Kickstarter project has almost reached the next stretchgoal! At the moment 327k has been pledged and at 350k there will be support for the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
This stretchgoal will also add support for more devices, including:
– HTC One M8
– LG G3
– Motorola Moto X (2014)
– OnePlus One
– Samsung Galaxy Note 4
– Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
Tell your friends so we can reach the stretchgoal!
I had a sony xperia z3 compact before my moto x play that I used to record gameplay via a capture card so i bought a mhl cable (micro usb to hdmi) I saw that the mhl norm isn't compatible with the moto x play but I would like to know if it's to make the mhl cable functional with a custom rom or something like that ? Thanks for answers
I realise that I'm probably "wishing" but is it possible that the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra or XA Ultra firmware might be compatible for Xperia Z Ultra?
Thanks.
Definitely wishing
A simple but unfortunate answer, no. However you can port compatible elements to your device using AOSP or other existing ROM as a base.
Thanks.
I'm still pissed off that SONY is not updating Android for the Xperia Z Ultra e.g. to Marshmallow, Nougat.
It is nearly 4 years old now? No one updates their devices for that long.
Well it's not really Sony's fault that Z Ultra got no Nougat
It's Qualcomm's fault who didn't want to update the Adreno OpenGL drivers which is needed to pass CTS
So #blameqcom
#truestory
3 years old. But it's still a great device.
And this isn't the Z Ultra forum....
Hi!
PolarCell reports on their website that the Z5 Compact battery is compatible with multiple devices: https://www.polarcell.de/en/mobile-...battery-for-sony-xperia-z5-compact-e5823.html
I believe the Z5 Compact's battery is compatible all the way up to the XZ1 Compact, since the dimensions are very similar, the operating voltage is roughly the same and the connector is the same, even the pinout is identical.
I think testing this is worth a shot, since high quality 3rd party Z5 Compact batteries are still in production (check PolarCell and GreenCell - maybe some other ones for the Americas, Asia and Australia too), while for the XZ1 Compact - none. Not even Sony seems to be manufacturing them according to their own specifications (2000 - 2200 mAh vs official 2700).
If anybody here has a Z5 Compact battery laying around and an XZ1 Compact (or XZ1 Compact battery and a Z5 Compact) available to test this hypothesis, me and many others will be forever grateful.
