Marshmallow update for P8 lite (PAK)

Hello there.
I am new to this website.It looks very great and helpful.
I want to upgrade my mobile to marshmallow 6.0.
My current version is ALE-L21C185B160
My region is PAKISTAN
I want marshmallow rom for my region and with no baseband problems.
I hope you guys ll get me out of it.

There is no final update for the 6.0 yet, all the updates are in BETA status, they may (and they do indeed) contain some bugs.
After updateing, you may end up with the "Balong" problem, and that means, you'll get no further updates, until you fix that.
The 6.0 doesn't have a lot of new features, at least the non-chinese ones. The difference between the 5.0 and 6.0 are insignificant. The chinese versions however have some nice features, like Yellow Pages, a few new Camera functions, etc...
Updating is only possible for your very region if the Huawei Customer Service in your country has done beta testing. If they don't, it means, there's no official 6.0 beta test ROM there, and you have to wait for the official ones.
In my opinion, there is no much sense updateing to the beta versions with this much difference, so I do not recommend to update.

Huawei P8 Lite ALE-L21 Users can do now Marshmallow Update in Pakistan
Yes it is Possible I have done on my phone and updated it from C185130 to C432550 Europe Region with Dual Sim working IMEI of Pakistan Region.
Luckily, I got succeeded in this lengthy process of several updates and recovery of original IMEIs.
If anyone interested please tell me. I can tell the procedure.

Where is the guide?

P8 Lite Pakistan with marshamllow
I have upgraded my P8 Lite Pakistan with marshamllow successfully
you just need to download the dual sim firmware of europe region i.e. B170, B188 and onwards
and you just need the region solution file which solve the Balong error.

Just download the firmware from this link and unzip it. There should be a dload folder, guide to update your device and open source license. By reading guide you will be able to update your phone.

my build number is ALE-L21C432B133 currently on lollypop android 5.0 and I wish to update to 6.0 the file they told me to download and followed their instruction didnt work jus says software installed failed plz help and thankyou in advanced any help is appreciated.

P9 Lite PRA-LX3 rooting question

Hi there,
I am new to Huawei phones I just got the P9 lite in latin america, noticed that the model its PRA LX3, quick google search showed no results for the P9 such as stock firmware, rooting info etc.
I searched on XDA and got no results as well.
My question is, anyone got information on this model? Can I treat it as a VNS L31 since it came with 3GB of ram, can I debrand it and re brand it as VNS L31? Sorry for newbie questions as I said this is my first Huawei.

Does the rooting and bootloader unlock methods change since the CPU its Kirin 655 and the VNS 21/31 are 650.

Once you mentioned I searched about it and it seems you are correct, why would they call it a P9 though.

The P8 lite 2017 is the P9 lite 2017 in other countries and Honor 8 lite in other countries and Nova lite in other countries and GR3 2017 in other countries, according to GSM arena...

Yes, I have P9 Lite 2017 PRA-LX3. You can change the device name in to settings, but you need Root to change model number.

Hello friends, Greetings from Argentina.
I wanted to make the following query.
I have a Moto X Style (XT1572) Double SIM Android 6.0.1 Rom Stock (24.231.13.clark_retasia_ds.retasia.en.03 retmea).
Is it possible to install a Firmware from another continent? (Example: EU, US, BR.etc).
If possible, could you install SINGLE SIM firmware? Or would you stop working both SIMs? (I only use a single SIM card anyway).

The single sim one is XT1575. You can try XT1572 ROMS.

1. U have retasia(cid7) in Argentina - you havn't all bands for your country(cid12).
2. U have 6.0.1 - there isn't cid12 single sim, only 6.0(retar, retla). You can't flash it with locked bootloader. With unlocked - u probably can, but without bootloader and gpt partitions.
Btw:
U will not get update to 7.0.

Cannot upgrade from VNS-L31C900B160 to Nougat

Hi all,
I have a problem with a single-SIM P9 lite (VNS-L31), which is currently on C900B160 (manually updated following the "standard" manual procedure via dload directory on SDcard): I cannot upgrade it to a C109B350 (that's the one my wife has now; we both were on C109B163).
Is there any way I can move on to have Nougat on my phone?

Firmware finder proxy install . Download app ( firmware finder ) from Google play . Open it , go to settings and download proxy install . Find ROM to ur phone and click " proxy install" . Then proxy installer will tell u what to do . Download 1 % of ROM . Pause it. . Set ur wi-fi settings like it was before . Resume it and it will upgrade ur phone to nugat . What rom should u download ? Find ROM to ur phone with ".PV" . if u will try upgrade another version like full ota or something it will damage it ROM and it will work but u wont have half of apps . When u upgrade to vns-l31c109b3xx.PV then u can upgrade any other version . But like I said . When u are on mm upgrade only using .PV

IF firmware finder don't have rom to ur phone u can try fastboot

not working...
After getting the update file, there must be some problem with my customization level (I'm trying to move from C900 to C109 - there's no mm for C900 available), because I get an error when trying to update to C109B350.
Any ideas?
BTW, in the latest version of firmware finder, there are no .pv versions... :-/
