Upgrading Voyo A1S with Windows 10 - Windows 8 General

Hi, I'm really happy with this 10.1' tablet.
The battery needs special care, but other than that, it does all I need.
I tried upgrading my tablet for Windows 10.
But in mid process he gives me an error saying that the bios is locked?
So he halts the process and goes back to Windows 8.1
Is there anything I can do to unlock the bios to allow the upgrade to conclude?
Anyone else has this issue?
Any help is appreciated.

Answering my own question... Since November, yes, it can be upgraded for win10, without any issues.
Its better, faster and has more space. really loving it!

Could you please explain how you did this?

No special tools, just using the normal win10 upgrade from settings.

Rom updating advice, have 6.0 but really, really want 6.1!

I tried to flash a 6.1 rom to my shadow, but that was back in the day when my WMD did not work. When I tried to flash it, it got stuck in the bootloader mode. It took me awhile to research how to fix it, but eventually I got the re flash of the orignal t-mobile rom to work. Im wondering if I now that my windows media device software will work, if the flashing will? I'm a bit paranoid as I have no back up t-mobile phone and wonder if 6.1 is even worth it.
Also, the issue came because during the flash it said make sure it is connected to active sync, but I have WMD because I am on Vista.
What do you guys think? Should I be able to upgrade the shadow or should i just leave it alone

[Q] HP 614c Owner needs help

Helo all - I could really use a hand here. This is the second time I have faced this issue.
When trying to make a call on my 614c when the battery is low, it crashes. Upon reboot, the radio no longer works and I cannot make any calls. It just goes into a permanent "Seaching" mode.
What I've tried:
Reboots - warm and cold
Removing the battery for 30 mins
Reset to defaults
Multiple different ROMs including upgrading and downgrading the Radio
No luck.
Last time (3 months ago) I ended up sending it to ipaqrepair to be fixed.
They said:
"the un-official hacked ROM installed in combination with a corrupt / mismatched GSM Radio ROM, these are the root cause of the issues"
I had actually NOT installed a non-official ROM until after it stopped working in a desperate attempt to fix it. But when they got it, it was a 6.5 ROM.
This time, I had upgraded it to 6.5....but I have since downgraded to the official ROM an installed the. .89 Radio update.
It wont work at all and I can't justify mailing it away for another expensive repair.
Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.....
Any ideas? How can I effectively "blow away" all the software/drivers and set the device up as new? IpaqRepair said it was corrupt software last time....
I've installed different ROMs via flash.dio and I tried the HP radio upgrade RUU_1.8.0_081208_MP_M089_WWE. Are their files or settings that the installs I am doing do not affect - and if so, how do I repair/replace them?
Using Sim Manager, it says the phone is not ready. It's just like the phone radio won't initialize...
This phone originated overseas (Europe) - could that be somehow causing this issue since I'm using it in the USA? Something locking or changing and no longer compatible?
Not sure what else I can do and am missing my phone. Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Still fighting with this....maybe onto something now?
When I get the asset viewer information for the phone it shows the radio is present and the firmware number.
the Stack Version, Bootloader Version, Filesystem Verions and Radio GDFS versions are blank.
It does show the IMEI.
I'm guessing I'm missing file/data for the radio....but reinstalling the Radio ROM HP offers has not helped (maybe not complete - just an upgrade?)
Thoughts?
Anyone have a copy of the original ROM and .81 Radio ROM?
Maybe rolling it all the way back might get it operational again....
Official Drivers/Rom/Radio for 614c
Hi,
You can download official drivers from HP website. The forum does not allow me to post the link. Just search for "official 614c drivers" in google and you wil get the link.
Also note, please install using WINDOWS XP os as installing this using other os such windows 7, windows vista etc is not possible.
Okay - I tried installing the software from the HP Website using XP - but it still isn't working. It's just like the software for the radio is corrupted and it won't replace it (does not list the versions like it should when you look at the software inventory).
Is there any way to manually do this? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone can help me get this resolved, I'm definitely buying them a beer.
Basically the GSM just seems to be bricked. Last time a software fix resolved it, but I'm not sure what software needs to be installed to get the radio working again.
What is the best way to blow it all away and start over? Is there a way to manually delete the radio files - or to look at them for versions/dates to see what is corrupt or mismatched.

Bump.....
Still hoping for a solution. I have gone to a Glisten now, but do not like it as much as the 614c.
I'm open to any suggestions.

Question about PC connection after 4.3 upgrade.

Hello,
I recently upgraded my SGS4 (i9505) to the official 4.3 and then I flashed Golden Eye ROM v.14 on top of it. I came across a strange issue though that it's not that disturbing but I wonder if anyone has any suggestions.
I installed Kies3 and after a restart my phone got recognised by the computer an everything works fine. However the problem is that everytime I connect my phone, I need to restart the computer in order for it to pick it up. Otherwise it wont appear anywhere. I'm running Windows 8.1 and needless to say, it was working fine on Windows 7.
Any suggestions to this? Thanks in advance.
As far as I know it's not phone related.. I had previously a Sony Xperia S and my win 8 PC was just crashing when I create a new folder then when I got the S4 it continued crashing when I create a new folder.. I read somewhere here on xda that this problem needs a complicated fix for the PC..
I hope you the best friend and if you found a solution it will be great if you share it..

Downgrade SM-T295

Hi Guys!
I've got a real ploblem with Android 10. I work in a little company and part of our activities is making software for Android Tablet. We're making very specific SW and we don't need all of Androids and all of Android Tablets. All we need is Android 10 for now.
I've got a tablet with firmware T295XXU3BTFG and it works brilliant. It doesn't annoy me about updates, when I set this tab up, I could set it without connecting to the internet.
For now same tablets come with T295XXU4BUC8 and higher (yeah, this tablet hard to buy but we've got some on storage) and it can't be setting up without connection to the internet. And every time I turn on this tablet, the system checking for updates and shows me that it's got and update for me.
In settings you can only switch off downloading and installing updates but there aren't any ticks for checking updates.
So my question is:
Is there any way to downgrade my tablet?
Yes, I know about bootloader version, that I can't go from U4 to U3, but maybe I can flash firmware without flashing bootloader? Or maybe I can make my own ROM, based on stock ROM which i liked so much?
Or there are a way just forbid checking updates?
I need to stay on Android 10 and there shouldn't be any way to upgrade to 11.
Please, I need some help, I'm not so android expert.
Thanks a lot!!!

Can't actually fix the OS of my Moto G6

Hi.
First of all, I want to let you know I'm just new to this page, so I'm so sorry if I make any mistakes within creating the post.
As you've read in the title, I can't fix the OS of this phone. I bought it used, and apparently it didn't have any OS (I thought it was because there was a flashing attempt, which went wrong). One day, I just looked for Android 9 and I installed it. The phone started working, and so I started using it. There were some problems with the phone though. First of all, at random moments, it started lagging and just re-starting. The other problem I had was the bootloader message, saying that I didn't have an official OS.
Today, I tried to uninstall all of /system. I read a lot of information, I watched a lot of videos and I started doing so. Basically, what I wanted to do is delete all in /system so I could install a clean ROM from my computer. Problem is, I have "flashing_locked" flag. I also downgraded it to Android 8, and I think it made it worse. Now, I don't even have internet connection (or what is called /persist), which also means I'm stuck in the setup screen. There's no way I have now to enter developer mode, nor activating usb debugging. Just wondering, is there any tips I could get from you guys to fix all this problem?
Thanks a lot.
Edit: I also think there's some "residual" data from those flashing attempts, Android 8 and also Android 9. I'm not sure if that has something to do.
Edit 2: I also requested a Unique Key from the Motorola official page, which didn't lead me to anywhere. Although I used "fastboot oem unlock <key>", it didn't work to me.

I'm wondering how you managed to downgrade the device from Android 9 to 8 with a locked bootloader?? that's very strange... To fix the known issue of broken wifi/mobile connection (as a result of the downgrade) it's recommended to revert back to Android 9.
So, you did the downgrade from 9 to 8. But now you can't finish the setup wizard to activate OEM unlocking? Please tell me, at which point it has been deactivated?? It doesn't make any sense...
Try the Lenovo Motorola Smart Assistant tool. It'll fix the issue.

I think not. Flashing a firmware means copying image files to a specific partition. Each image file got its own partition table. There will be no data left.
