Hello guys !
I got a Nexus 10 looping up at start after displaying "Google".
Looking on the web, I know how to reset the firmware, but I don't want my datas to be wiped, I need to backup my files first.
Does anybody has a solution in order to get datas back?
Thanks in advance for you help

More information would be nice. Did it just start doing that randomly or were you flashing something? Are you using a ROM or stock? If a ROM, which one?

Hello
What do you mean by "using a ROM or stock?"
I just rebooted the device and then could never boot again normally.
thanks

Then I'm going to assume you haven't installed a ROM on it and are running the Stock OS that came with the device. What method did you use for rooting?

"rooting" ? you meant rebooting? if yes was the normal use with the OS rebooting button.

I misread your issue. I thought you said you rooted it and had issues. I have no idea why it would do that if you haven't even done anything to it. Devices just don't not boot unless you did something to mess it up or the device is broken. If anything try just booting into recovery and wipe cache. If that doesn't work try flashing the system.img found in the factory images using fastboot. Or flash all but userdata.img. There are tutorials around the web. But again, if you haven't rooted the device or done anything to the system files, I don't know why it's not booting. Hopefully the internals didn't go out on you.

I have never personally used this method, so I can't tell you what to do with 100% confidence. But if you can boot into the bootloader and then use fastboot to install TWRP recovery, there may be a way to pull files from your device using commands on your computer. You may have to do some research on that. Sorry I can't be more helpful. It's hard to know what's going on with your device when you haven't done anything to cause it.

Here's a link to their website for a download and instructions. But you need to have the android SDK installed. Do you have that at least?
https://twrp.me/devices/samsungnexus10.html
Please don't rush into anything and start flashing stuff. It will just mess up things even more.

@akaii78, I guess forget what I said. I don't know how you can get your data from your tablet now.
Hi,
You can try going to stock recovery and check if you have adb access with it. Then if you have, you can just pull the files using adb pull command. If you manage to connect to adb I can provide further help.

forget the superboot.... i mean, if you don't mind to go for cyanogenmod ROM, the steps are very simple:
1) unlock bootloader
2) flash amon_ra (i think you have done that)
3) flash latest radio (i think you have done that too, otherwise, can obtain from cyanogen's thread)
3) flash cyanogenmod 5.0.3.1
4) flash google bits (can obtain from cyanogen's thread)
then you should be good to go.... i never used superboot, but then I am a heavy cyanogen fan, so that's all i needed
pm me if you need more help... i am however in China. here it is 10:16pm now, so i may be gone in an hour or so

Yes.
Now I have upgrade to ERE36B with amon ra, I have launch superboot and I have superpermission on Nexus but It not work.
I think I have to restore the Nexus to all original setting and rom (radio i think it's not important) and after do all update and rooting.
I think there is a problem that can be solved because I made only upgrade with Amon ra.

i don't understand why you want to stay with superboot... i never needed it.
to get root, just do this:
1) download the cyanogenmod rom (5.0.3.1) from the cyanogenmod thread
2) download the google apps from the same thread
3) put both on your sdcard
4) in amon_ra, flash cyanogenmod rom first
5) reboot
6) reboot into amon_ra recovery
7) in amon_ra, flash google apps
8) reboot
then you should be good to go and should have root
after that you can flash other roms, if you don't want to stay with cyanogen's rom
solved
1. this is related to roms not general.
2. its resolved, so its ok if anyone moves it.
3. superboot is very easy. no command line. just click install.
4. Best of all... PROBLEM SOLVED
For those of you still having trouble, before doing anything to technical, just boot to the recovery image and hit wipe device. then reinstall whatever rom.
worked like a charm for me.
also thanks to you all for quick responses. i got 6 in like ten minutes. here in texas, its like 9am on Sunday lol. I love xda.
are you the OP or is www1 the OP?
it seems like www1 still has the problem or not???
i agree, this is general, not development thread. but i am trying to help the OP.
i am sure superboot is a good tool, i just saw so many confused people at the beginning with it... and i never needed it, so
Sorry, I'm Italian and I can't speak english very well.
Not I try to flash with cyanogen mod to have the root (I hope) and after I reflash with standard rom.
I always do a wipe but the problem are not resolved.
I hope the mod can move this tread if is in the wrong section.
Thanks for the help.
So I think there are a permission problem.
ANyone can suggest how to manually install super boot? By insecure image boot for example.

As long as bootloader is viable, you should be fine.
Download the FULL system image from Google:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#nakasi
Make sure you chose nakasi for WiFi or nakasig for 3G tablet, depending on the one you own.
Download file, extract tgz and extract zip inside of that.
Make sure you have adb/fastboot installed and in your path and that your tablet is connected and recognized. Boot into bootloader mode (which needs to be unlocked). Then do a full flash (you can omit the -w option to prevent the flash from wiping sdcard).
This will restore your device OS back to stock.
Depending on what you did, which you didn't really explain, there is probably a quicker/easier option. But without more info, the only advice I can give you is what I did, which should work fine for all circumstances.
Sticky post above this one is the solution..
It seems like you from your post you used a tool kit and something went wrong or you missed a step. Follow one of the following guides.
I recommend the first one..
Manual adb/fastboot
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796
Took Kits Automated flashing/ rom install ..
This one is a Windows interface.
......... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766475..........
CMD Interface.
...............http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809195..........
I recommend the Manual method But only after reading post in all the threads. This will help you get a better understanding of Android..
Good Luck... the post above mine is also correct if you already have a adb environmental set up
Thank you

If you had cwm you can use adb to remove the .apk via recovery.. twrp even made it easier by having a file explorer inside the recovery..
But if you haven't installed them both i'm afraid you're out of luck..

Recovering your phone at this point wont help you at all my friend :/ you have officially bricked your phone sadly this is beyond my level of expertise in the smartphone world i would take it to a local rooting/roming buisiness on craigslist or i think cricket will do it... call them up and let them know your problem detail for detail they will probobly tell you you soft bricked your phone there is a slight chance they may be able to fix it for 15-50 dollars depending on how bad it is
Can you still get into TWRP or CWM recovery?
If so then you can probably still use an adb interface to push a ROM.zip file to your phone to flash. If you cant then Im not sure how you would go about fixing because we do not have an unlocked bootloader so I do not think you will be able to use fastboot commands to flash a ROM. Maybe someone more knowledgable in this can help you out better than I.
same thing with me
Dude the same thing had happened to me on my gionee p3 and i tried everything but u have to just take it to the service centre and i got mine done for free as i had a warranty but if u dont u will have to pay and also this happens when u download **** things that take the main startup programs of ur phone

Hi All.
I am in a bit of a situation right now.
My video recording app filled up internal storage and corrupted system files (because i forgot to point it to my external SD card).
This caused a boot loop, so I went into recovery and (regrettably) wiped the internal storage. Now when I try to flash or install a new (stock) rom, none will work. I have tried sideloading, installing through (TWRP) recovery and wiping the cache multiple times as I comb through the internet for files like the system.img, boot.img, and droidboot.img, to no avail.
TLDR; I need either a backup of someone elses Zenfone 2 ZE500KL, or the system files required to get me up and running, otherwise I have a brick on my hands.
Thanks for any help
Matt
Unlock bootloader, flash the official firmware, I think you can find it on the internet. Have you tried that? You can even get a deodexed rom from here and extract files needed and flash them...

Yeah, I have.
I've tried 2 different stock roms (Marshmallow, Lollipop) about 10 different times in both stock recovery and TWRP, mixing in some full wipes and just wiping the cache. I've been looking at a whole lot of tutorials on how to go back to stock, to no avail. I've tried modifying the rom so I no longer get the status 7 error (which I dont believe I should need to do) because I get signature verification errors on both my unmodified stock roms.
Sometimes it does do through the installation fine with the modified roms (in TWRP) and everything seems fine until I click reboot. On the screen it says that there is no OS installed, and when I do reboot to the OS I get stuck on the ASUS logo.
Not gonna give up, but a bit of a headache anyway.
I dont believe I have ever unlocked the bootloader, but how would I do that from outside Android?
Thanks in advance, Matt

I'm afraid that during the entire flashing process, some things have been done wrong and cannot be remedied in the future. Are there any basic tutorials on flashing that I can learn?
Sorry, sent the wrong post. Try factory resetting in miui recovery mode. If it still not boots, your phone is permanently fried on the motherboard level.

Sorry, sent the wrong post. Try factory resetting in miui recovery mode. If it still not boots, your phone is permanently fried on the motherboard level.

Whatever button sequence is used for that device.
Timing is everything, keep trying until you get it.
It's harder to do when you really need to
Take a break and make sure you got the right sequence/timing.
If it's booting up to the Home page it's salvageable I think... better than a boot loop.
However, before the loop occurs, Mokee 7.1.2 was installed and used it normally for a period of time, does that matter?

Stock Androids are easy, that's one reason I run stock. The only thing that really kills them is an outright hardware failure.

redmi 2 runs on stock rom android 4.2 right? you can not install any single app on that.
when the op fixed it it is advised to install a custom rom.
