Downgrade SM-N900W8 to 4.3 MJ1 from NA2 leaked Mexican ROM - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
So I have a Note 3 SM-N900W8 in Canada that came with Android 4.3 (MJ1 Telus) . Wanting to try 4.4.2 I waited until a method that allowed downgrades came out (The Mexican NA2 method)
So I updated to the 4.4.2 NA2 ROM and then to X-Note 4.4.2 (no idea of version, just remember it was X-Note 4.4.2 and I'm still on NA2 leaked bootloader.) After using it for about a year I want out and want to downgrade back to MJ1 4.3 due to instability. I have a copy of the 4.3 MJ1 tar.md5 on a external drive.
So just to make sure without getting a brick. I just insert the 4.3 MJ1 tar.md5 from SamMobile in Odin, go into Download Mode and it will downgrade to 4.3 including the bootloader? Just confirming.
Thanks
JTL

Updating Poland NB1 to NC2 via Odin

Hello everyone.
I have a N9005 bought from France (product code - XEF) which came with android 4.3 onboard and after 2 weeks when kitkat was released, I flashed the first build - Poland NA2 and after a while I received OTA to NB1.
When NC2 came out I've seen a lot of discussions about Odin failing to flash the hidden partition so I sticked with NB1 and waited for the Poland version.
Now, finally, we have the Poland Rom - http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=28201
My question is: if I will flash this rom with odin, after fully wiping my phone, will it succed?
Thanks !
Yes. U can try don't wipe first. Coz it is the same 4.4.2.
Unless ur screen hang on the 1st screen at samsung note 3, the take out battery, and go recovery do factory reset.

[Q] downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.3 sm-n900w8

hi guys
i was wondering if anyone can help with downgrading from 4.4.2 kit kat to 4.3 jelly bean on my Canadian SM-N900W8 with Rogers.
I accidentally upgraded and want to return to the pervious 4.3. Ive researched a long time and ive read that once you upgrade you cannot downgrade back to jelly bean. Ive also read another post on here that said with Canadian Sm-N900W8 if you download the Mexican 4.4.2 and flash it via odin that you can return to 4.3. Can anyone confirm this and provide me instructions.
Ive downloaded the PIT, BL, and AP for the mexican 4.4.2 and it says to use the CSC AND modem from the stock rogers 4.3.... i have the N900W8VLUCNB7_N900W8OYACNB7_RWC.zip but i dont how how to use the csc and modem from it?
Any help with returning me to 4.3 would be appreciated.

Sorry to say but you cannot downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.3 rom/firmware.
You will be able to upgrade if and when a newer version of the firmware
is released.
Good luck!
If you upgraded to the Mexican 4.4.2 from 4.3 then you can downgrade back to 4.3. But since you upgraded to the newly released NB7 I believe you're stuck there as Samsung patched the bootloader already for the N900W8.

[Q] 4.4.2 bootloader which stock 4.4.2 firmwares can i downgrade to?

Sorry for the newbie question i am using samsung s4 from o2 uk and have their 4.4.2 version, i am unlocked now so can downgrade or upgrade to BTU unbranded 4.4.2 versions of which there appears to be 4 available in sammobile.
I understand that there is a new bootloader in 4.4.2 so am i able to upgrade /downgrade to any of the stock 4.4.2 firmwares without tripping knox or losing my imei?
I know to my annoyance that the new bootloader efs v2 in 4.1.2 xxemg4 for the samsung s3 prevented me to downgrade to any of the previous 4.1.2 stock roms due to this much to my annoyance as the battery life was superb on xxemc2 4.1.2 so i don't want to make the same mistake with 4.4.2, does anyonr know if there is another bootloader version in the latest 4.4.2 stock rom that may cause a similar issue?
Bear in mind i only want to be able to up down grade to any of the 4.4.2 that is available not go to 4.3 or up to 5.0 as far as you're aware are all versions of 4.4.2 BTU ok to flash in odin without issues?
no downgrade from kitkat

I dont think you follow what I mean I dont want to downgrade from 4.4.2 per se I just want to use the other stock versions of 4.4.2 kitkat that have been released. Am I unable to downgrade from a higher version of kitkat to a lower previous version of kitkat that was avaialble a month before?
Same BTU stock version ie ugn9 down to ufn8 or something

Yes as long as you are downloading the correct firmware for your phone based on model number you will be able to downgrade. Just use Odin and you should be set.
You can flash any 4.4.2. The different versions don't matter.
Are you 100% sure i can up or downgrade to any of the 4.4.2 versions?
I dont want to make a mistake like i did with my s3 whereby i updated to 4.1.2 xxemg4 the latest version of 4.1.2 available but had an efs v2 so was unable to downgrade to any of the 4.1.2 versions below it.
4.4.2 kikat has a new bootloader but they all have the same efs version right? Thanks for the help

Downgrading S4 i337 from 4.4.2 (NB1) to 4.2.2 (MDL) using Odin

Hello,
I have S4 i337 and it is on 4.4.2 (NB1) and tried to downgrade it to 4.2.2 (MDL) using Odin but it fails. I want to know what might be the reason behind this failure. Help me resolve the issue.
Does the phone have a locked bootloader?
Up UP UP, wish people helping to unlock bootloader
Once you're on Android 4.3 or higher you cannot downgrade your bootloader (with the exception of NB1 I think it is) to an older version as Samsung has added in extra protections against such.
