Hello everybody, does anybody know if the Fingeprint Sensor will play with a Custom ROM or even ROOT?
It is a critical issue that we have to know i think
Yes . It will work with Custom ROMs and Root too .

With your experience you have, do you believe that they will provide the Scanner Code?
For now they said that they will give the Kernel Source. Is the Scanner Code part of the Kernel Source?
Thanks!

No. Kernel source will bring device tree which will have it.. CM has already merged fingerprint codes into its code. So don't worry.. It will work. It works on s6 too which has only kernel source released.

Good to know. I had my concerns!
I just got my OnePlus 2 , the FS plays fine with ROOT. Yet don't know with Custom ROMS because no custom roms out there..
Ordered my OnePlus two and should get it by tomorrow. Kindly give me the link to FS so that i can root my phone to.

Rooting phone on stock rom doesn't affect fingerprint sensor at all, my phone is rooted and it works fine.
Almost all custom roms right now are CM12 based and they cannot get FS sensor to work properly yet, this is one reason I haven't tried any custom roms yet.

The IP for the fingerprint scanner belongs to that hardware manufacturer.
Hopefully M's native FP software works with it and we can get past this.
This hardware in the OP2 will make a great M phone.

Yes i agree with you about Android M and OnePlus 2! It will be a great phone when the Custom ROMS based on Android 6 started to get out!
I guess we are in luck

Because OnePlus has not supplied the drivers and source to utilize them. They promised they would with the marshmallow oos build so you can expect working cm roms shortly after that
Probably because the source code is to ugly to release for the Lollipop source tree ? best way to hide poor coding, don't show it to anyone ?

CyanogenMod have to finish their work on the source, after that a oneplus2 build will be up very soon. theoretical we could build pure AOSP for it right now but without caf commits it will be very hard to manage to get everything working. or even to build ...
So i guess the first N rom will be Cyanogen Mod based, you can check the github from cyanogenmod to follow up their development. They already pushed alot and it wont take long to see first builds.
Work is going on right now to bring CM14 to the OP2 but official CM14 may be about a month or longer
When it's ready to be releases

I hope this time it wont be any delay for CAF and Fingerprint drivers to develop!

caf is already working on it.. and no need to develop new fingerprint drivers (only oneplus can to improve readings and speed and stability of fingerprint scanner).. since marshmallow fingerprint scanners are natively supported by android so it is too in nougat and cm14.. old fingerprint drivers will work on cm14 like on cm13 as well

Yeah I know its not really relevent, but it is. The goals of Project X development never change, and neither does the quality except in a positive way only.
Never anything I cant be 100% will not do any harm, only good.
So the Fallout 4 Mod sets the standard for Project X. And is just all around one of the best mods ever made for FO4. Not even my words .
Now... I bring that same quality development back to Android to provide this CM Alternative for the leery user who prefers official ROMs but want just a small taste of internal build, and compilation improvements for better overall ROM all around in small ways, but never anything potentially harmful or dangerous in some way to the device.

No problem Enjoy.
So anyone got help getting the build to complete using UBER Toolchain 6.x on all parts? (kernel, system, all of it).
I used to know but with this being an arm64 device.. I don't want to mess something up on accident.
I almost get it but the kernel build always fails in the process. Any help would be awesome so at the least Project X has a better compiler for everything .
Downloading... Gonna taste it soon
Can't wait to give this a taste !!

Please read the OP before asking questions. If something gets changed.. it will be listed. This isn't rocket science.

I knew. I came from mt6582 before buying redmi note 3.
I used to fix sensors and stuff by locating files and directories.
It was kind of satisfying in the end you could do something like that to your phone

it won't work for snapdragon variant hope you have tried it before telling us here.
even if this type of porting is possible then it only happen if the rom is made of our similar spec. device and even there are 30 to 40 percent that it will work for all same devices .
