Hi friends, this is Ajith from India,,,, i have been using my friend's defy for past 1 month,,
he gave me his phone with cm7 custom rom,,, and when i was about to give him the phone back, he asked me to put the stock rom on it, then i tried putting a custom rom on it via RSD lite,, everything was working when before i flashed that rom,,,
in RSD lite everything finished completely and i removed it and restarted,,,
but what i got is the bootloader error A5,70,39,00,27
i don't know what to do now,,, i tried many other roms too but it shows no changes,,.
my boot loader version is 9.10
Friends please help me to unbrick ma phone as soon as possible,,,,
if u guys have any rom for ma mobile then please let me know,,

I have the same issue with my defy+ telstra branded i couldnt root and ended up in boot error like you and cant boot the phone
Then i re flashed astock rom for australia but retailer version i managed to get the phone on and boot normally but im stuck on emergencey mode and cant make calls:crying:

ok dude,,, thats fine,,,, pls help me,,, just send me the link of the rom tat u jst installed.... i can help u once my fone gets booted normally,,,, now i need is tat my fone has to boot inside normally,,, tell me the procedure tat u have done in ur phone and also plz send me the link of the rom tat u have installed in it...:good:

A few questions
Is it a Defy or a Defy plus?
What is the name of the SBF that you flashed via RSD lite.
9.10 is not the boot loader version.I am assuming you are probably on BL7 (boot loader)and the SBF that you are trying to flash is a lower boot loader version . This happened to me when i flashed a Defy plus SBF on my Defy and then tried to downgrade just to find out that there was no returning back (as of today).
Here are the steps that i followed to get my phone working and i sincerely hope this may help you as well :
1) If you are on Defy plus (MB526) you can try flashing the rom mentioned in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1595013. It will also help you to get a rooted device.
The above step should get you a working phone ,however if your device is a Defy (as you mentioned in the OP) you will end up having a non functional camera and experience battery drains.
In order to rectify this you can download this awesome rom from Quarx from the following URL http://quarx2k.ru/cm10-2ndboot-nightly-defy(+)/ (CM10-20121018-NIGHTLY-mb526.zip is the one that you should be downloading)and apply then the V3 update.
Your phone should now be running an awesome Jelly Bean based rom with everything working perfectly (well almost its still a Nightly Build)
The steps mentioned above is what got me a working phone and there could be other ways as well . This is a wonderful forum and i am sure that experts will help you in getting your problem resolved.:good:

I understand that at this point you are stuck at bootloader error message that you have mentioned in the title of this post. Connect your device to a PC and flash the SBF(stock defy rom) that you can download from the link below using RSD . Once RSD lite shows the status as "Finished" , you should then be able to boot normally. Hope this helps.

I recently replaced my lovely galaxy s2 with its successor the sgs4 - i9505 and I was only able to get the int. snapdragon version.
here are the main issues I have at the moment and I would like to have your advice if not your solutions because I already try to replace the phone but the new one has exactly the same problems.
1. and most annoying issue : I often got error about "no network connection" when it' s not true (got almost full signal and H/ 3G icon is there but If I would like to make a post of facebook I very often if not every time I need to use the "resend " function for my status to be posted successfully..
I got same troubles with playstore .. and also with the Cisco Webex application /widget .. if I only have data connection I cannot access their server and update my meeting list.. it's working only when connected to Wireless.. (tried to reinstall.. and changed the phone but this persists..)
also ..the other weird problem I 've encountered is with Bluetooth .. I have a bluetooth Beats pill speaker, and I am not able to play music by bluetooth with the stock application .. I needed to install a paid tool called ICS bluetooth manager for forcing the use of ad2p for playing media.. and that's not very good.
And last but not least .. I bought an 64gb Sandisk class 10 SD card, but I often got issue saying that it's damaged and ask to format after having copied some files by connecting the phone with USB cable .. any suggestion ( I switched to google play music now.. but that's a workaround not a solution ..)
And to finish.. I've got a question .. what is your opinion regarding the "best" beats audio mod to use on this device ? I tried the Rockodev mod but I don't see a magic difference even with original Beats Mixr Headphones.. the difference is comparable to rocket player equalizer enhancements I think..

N.B: Am on the stock ROm ,only rooted and installed SuperSU .. and I don't even know if Samsung published any update as I can't retrieve then after the root...

Hm, that's weird. I've used the stock app for playing music through bluetooth too and it works fine. What happends when you try to play music with the stock app?
And last but not least .. I've got a 32GB Sandisk class 10 card which works awesome. Did you format the card before putting it in your S4? Which format are you using?

I'd first of all if your phone is running the out of the box firmware, update your phone and retry everything then report back. Some of the new firmwares are a lot better my out of the box fw was horrible. I personally would reccomend using djembeys pre rooted roms. Take a look in the Android development section for 9505 and there is Djembeys thread take a minute to read through the 1st post and give one of his roms a go.
I'm regards to your data connection issue. I used to get this issue with flipboard on my s3 but never had it on my s4.
I really would try the updated ROMs 1st as last.

Ok that could be a good idea.. but one question is what will happens if I instal one of Djembeys pre rooted roms if I already rooted my SGS4 (specially for installing titanium backup pro ) .. and due to the fact it's rooted I cannot grab OTA updates.. but in anyway I don't think there is one update available for my country.
If you tell me that I can install it without issue, then I will give it a go .
does that will add the yellow sign on the boot afterwards .. ? What is the process in my case, should I flash the stock recovery and stock kernel before flashing the rom ?
thx for your help ..I am still new in SGS4 dev... but I played a bit with my SGS2 so I know how to flash roms from recovery.. but never did it with ODIN but I flashed the recovery for rooting the phone so i should be able to do it if someone helps me with the correct process because I don't want to brick the phone or to loose the warranty forever (if not too late )
NB: for answering the the 1st answer.. with stock music app , or with Google play or rocket player all cannot play sound over Bluetooth even if that is enabled Under media and that my speaker is connected /paired..
I was able to force it using ICS Bluetooth manager and or soundabout.. but with my new JBL speaker that does not work anymore.. so I 've no choice than trying another rom... thank you..
Ok so I tried the latest Djembey's rooted stock rom and it's already quite better (was able to play music via bluetooth without any difficulty which is a big improvement but my webex widget still won't connect while on data but works normally while on wifi. I will check if play store /facebook still have same troubles or not..
Should it help to flash a CSC ? if yes which one should I choose ?

I have a sgh I337 s4 which is still on android 4.2.2 I want to update it a new os or even a custom rom for better performance. I've been trying for weeks every time I try to update it gives me the whole " update interruption try again in 24H" ... I have tried to install many custom recoveries only one that worked was safe strap I am a newbie looking to get better performance out his phone and to use my galaxy gear please help ... my phone is of the "MF3" build ... I've tried do a factory reset but doesn't work every time it goes to "downloading target do not turn off" and remains that way for hours!!!! HELP!!!

If you want to update, look in the general section and get the ODIN tars for MK2 (4.3). From there you can check the All Things MK2 and NB1 and use that to help you flash any ROM listed in there.

I'm running lolipop and sense 7.0 but when i try to use some apps from google play such as kernel editor which require root ... I get a nessage saying no root found ... Or device is not rooted .. Something like that .....
My question is ... ( is this ok to not being rooted whereas i already flashed a custom rom through a link on the web ) or should i roit my device ?
What if at a later time the next update like marshmallo is released ... Will i be able to update my device with it ?

you can either root or not root but either way if you are on cutom rom, you cant update via ota

From a website ... It is very stable .. But the radio has gone .. And the option to auto turn off and auto turn on has gone too .. I do not like this lolipop update

Runing OS Android but GSM 3g signal is not working . Its stuck in turning off airplane mode automatically forever .
