So after 1 day and 16 hours without charging and 30% left of your charge you are worried that GoSMS used 70% of your battery?

Gotcha. Actually, now that you pointed it out, GoSMS generally shows up as my biggest battery hog too. Oddly enough though, if I reboot my phone and check the stats again, GoSMS suddenly shows a much smaller % being used. Could this actually be an OS issue?

Had the phone just 2 days and noticed that the Android System is taking most of battery. I am managing 3.5 hours on full brightness. I am happy with that but I am wondering why the Android System is taking up so much. Any ideas?
Here it is

I'd love to know this as well since it also takes the most ram. My S3 was, sadly, more efficient.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It's not a huge problem for me as the battery is still good. I just want to know what could cause it.
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Also, when leaving over night. It went down 1% an hour. Is that good?
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'd say so. You must not have very many background processes. Have you turned off bloatware?

Here is a screenshot too just to prove I'm not talking trash haha. I uninstalled Facebook as sometimes that would idle and chew 100+MB of ram. I also disabled some bloat too
terrible battery life
I'm having terrible battery life I have the exynos model and it consumes like 10% in 15 minutes using facebook. My note 3 batery life is amazing but I´m very disappointed with my s5, I hope samsung can fix this with an update.

Check your battery stats, mine uses 10-15% in an hour...
Autobrightness or manual?
(please, don't tell me 100% brightness...)

Mobile data always uses more battery than wifi. It is a known issue. Something to do with signal strength the more weaker the signal the more battery drain.
Afaik.
Sent from my GT-I9506 using Tapatalk
Sorry, but the problem is excessive data usage for android os and Google services. Like 200mb per day.

Sorry for being late. turn off your sync. Turn automatic app updates off and if possible do a hard reset. And yes as said above 3G usage or being idle drains battery at greater extent. Being always on 3G will last your battery about 6 hrs. Try for hard reset this might work as it worked for me. All the best.
