N9005 baseband/IMEI Unknown after modem flash - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Before I flashed anything i did a full backup with twrp, but when i try to restore my backup it won't restore the efs files modem and all that, just the rom pretty much and imei and baseband stays unknown, how come?
my stock rom is N9005ZTUENG1 , but when i load the file in odin(3.09,3.07,3.04) before it finishes to fully load it i get a weird chinese error and then i can't flash it, what to do?
I tried some ways that people said it solved their problem , no luck so far..

[Q] I9505 auto restore EFS after its delete, why?

Hi,
I have Galaxy S4 (I9505) and after official update, I have faced error of unknown baseband and lost IMEI (null/null). Problem was, that IMEI and baseband were working only, when I fully discharged phone, put it on charger and turned it on. But when I called once, I have lost IMEI and basbend suddenly, same for the second start after 0% battery. I have made EFS backup via terminal emulator and "dd" operation - (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433966) and to successfuly recover EFS, I had to delete it first. But when I delete EFS and reboot, EFS folder is not empty but is populated from somewhere. I am not able to get into "permanent safe mode" so I am unable to restore EFS.
Anyone faced the same problem? Do you know, from where is EFS folder auto-populated? I have also tried old stock ROM, problem is I cannot downgrade to original ROM before update, it was 4.2.2 and I can't downgrade bootloader. Newest 4.3 ROM also doesn't solve the problem.
Thank for any ideas
Hmyzak
Anyone?

Wich ROM are you using? If the lost IMEI appeared directly after a ROM flash, dirty flash it again. This should work.
Had the same problem when flashing a rom but If I left the device running for 5 mins then checked the imei was back. It did this at every reboot until I flashed a different rom
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I flashed stock firmware with pit and without pit, the IMEI remains unknown, even the efs folder is mounted and is not empty
i think i found the problem CSC: XXX i heard that csc had to do something with efs.
changed csc to ato (firmware is from ato =austria unbranded) imei is now there , thank you guys for the response!

[q] [help] problem with phoenix rom

Hi,
I had a problem with signal when the screen locks..every time it lost the signal
I tried to do the steps at description but I didn't had success
Can someone help me?
(sorry my bed english, i'm new in this forum and i'm brazilian)
Backup your EFS via recovery
Then flash stock
Then flash the rom again
If you lose your imei just restore EFS backup

I don't think he has problems with his EFS. Because he only loses his signal when his screen is off.
This is a sympton of using the rom when your are on the old bootloader with an incompatible modem.
You need to flash the correct modem for your bootloader or flash a newer bootloader.

[Q&A] Restore EFS from Nandroid Failed (Solved)

Hi Everybody,
I'm really disappointed. For the second Times, I've corrupted my EFS partition. IMEI is empty, as the baseband...
The first time that I had this problem, I could restore the EFS using the fabulous fix from Fireasusman : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47014662#post47014662
But this time, It didn't work.... I'm really really sad.
Before trying to restore the stock firmware ( My problem was coming when i tried to restore stock firmware before to sell it) i made a Nandroid backup with TWRP recovery. I've an EFS/MODEM backup in this Nandroid.
When I reboot into recovery, and go to restore, I can select EFS, and it seems restore It. It wrote : Restoring 2 partitions/Restoring EFS/restoring EFS2/restoring EFS3/EFS Done/Restoring Modem/ Modem Done...
But after reboot the problem is Still There...
I'm really Angry, I lost 400$ and I don't understand why my Nandroid Restore of EFS failed...
I also try to flash modem with ODIN but it still Failed.
Note: I was an temasek CM12 (android lollipop).
Thank you very much for every help.
1. Flash STOCK ROM and take a look how it works. Sometimes only flashing it recovers the EFS folder.
2. Next time use this APP for backup/restore your EFS.
Really thanks for your help.
But i've allready try to restore stock ROM. At least twice. But efs is still corrupt. And the phone never arrive to boot...
About how many time I can consider that flash stock ROM will not repair my EFS partition ?
I've allready done twice...
Ok... I solved my problem.
As I explain in first post, I'had a EFS backup with a Nandroid Backup. But when I restore with TWRP, the problem was still there. No pin, No baseband etc...
I only delete the EFS folder using root explorer. I reboot, and it was OK. EFS folder was rebuilt automatically.... No more complicated than that...
Good finding

Because the IMEI is not stored in the EFS folder.

[SOLVED]
after some terrifying moments i found that flashing stock ROM ''REGION RELATED" and checking Auto-Reboot, re-partition, Nan Erase All and wipe EFS, while using the attached pit file "after extracting it from the zip" restores everything to normal "THANK ALAAH"
