Is it possible to install Zenwatch watchfaces on other models? There are 2 that interest me alot, but I cant seem to find them.

Its not easy to find good looking Square faces with also good looking ALways On modes. This 2 would be excelent.
Any chance of extracting the apk?
You could make those pretty easily on intellicom, Facet, or any other custom watchface maker.
Yes, the looks of it, but the actual Faces, if it was possible to extract the apk, have alot of extra options, like changing background, extras etc
You can add a custom background and other options in those apps too.
AFIK, the Asus faces are not open source. Can it be done? Yes, is it easy? Yes if you have adb, an Asus watch, and a bit of know-how.
Code:
adb pull watchface.apk
Does sharing it violate xda terms? Probably.
Well, I dont have a Zenwatch so...

So the Fire is going to an older gentleman who really knows very little about techie crap. He can find his way around a computer OK, but he's not big on the technical details. We chose KF for a single major reason: The icons are huge, so they'll be easy for him to find and jab.
Here's what I expect he'll do:
1. Watch videos while he's out at car shows
2. Maybe listen to some music
3. Possibly read car magazine subscriptions
So I'd like to leave the software as stock as possible, but I'd also like to know:
1. What's the easiest software package to get ripped video onto the fire?
2. Does the Fire have its own sync software or is there something else I should put on his PC to use?
3. OK, I lied, there is no 3, but if you have a suggestion, I'll take it here
Thanks!!
I do this quite often for people on their desktops and laptops..
I create folders (Using GO launcher) appropriate for what they are using: folders called 'video', 'music', 'magazines', etc and dump their programs in each..
As for the others:
1. Dunno, I just use a stock file manager, its pretty simple cut and paste stuff.
2. I have not the slightest clue, sorry.
3. Personally, I like GO Launcher over the standard carousel but with the carousel he can still add favorites.
Best,
Chris

Hi everyone,
I have not found this info so far, so I'm asking here:
Can Android Wear Smartwatches be equipped with custom watchfaces out of the box, like the Pebble? I know that Motorola is planning something like this, but I'd like to know, whether we'd be stuck with whatever Samsung, LG or whoever made the device allows, or if we can install Watchfaces from the Playstore/other sources? This would be a big factor for different screentypes, AMOLED could benefit greatly from Black and White watchfaces for example.
The same goes for the general theme/style. Is that alway "stock" Google Now look, or can we adjust it to fit our needs and/or to conserve power on AMOLED screens?
Thanks.
You can find Google I/O prese.tation on youtube and just find Android Wear presentation. It shows watchfaces, wallpapers etc.
Short answer - Yes you can change everything.

Thanks,
I was aware of the wallpapers, but not sure about watchfaces, since those are, according to what I read, the only things manufacturers (eg. Samsung, Sony et al) are allowed to customize. Now, just because Sammy is allowed to customized doesn't mean they'll allow me to customize...
I'll rewatch it and see what exactly they say...
UPDATE: I watched the presentaion again, but did not find any concrete evidence either way. Apps can have a custom UI, but I found nothing on 3rd party watchfaces.
Another question just popped up in my brain: What happens when the watch is not connected to the phone? How much functionality remains?
Also, can you actually answer a call on the watch? I'd assume not, since it has no speaker...

Regarding 3rd party watchfaces, that functionality isn't available today but has been promised in an upcoming release. Wear devices currently run Android 4.4W so I would assume it will roll out with L (if not before).
Just tested the functionality of the LG watch when not connected to a phone. It has limited functionality. No voice commands (because it normally uses the internet through your mobile device) but you do have access to the basics: steps, agenda, timers, timers alarms, stopwatch, etc and apps that don't require internet.
When you receive a call can answer/decline or decline & send a text (with preset and on the fly voice I think) straight from the watch but I believe you will need to use your phone or another Bluetooth device to actually talk the the person on the other end.
Hope this helps.
Thanks. That does help!

Custom watch faces for Android Wear start appearing in the Play Store
Hi guys,
I just recieved my Huawei Watch and have a question:
Why are almost all watchfaces available on XDA coded for the watchmaker app, which needs to be paid for, if you want to load custom watchfaces, when there is the option to build them without this app?
I know it wasn't possible to get different watchfaces in the beginning, but since a wear update you don't need this app anymore.
I added multiple watchfaces directly from the play store without any problems.
Am I missing something?
Yes, with watchmaker you can simply "click" your own watchface. The other option is to code a watchace in an programmin envirronment, compile it and make it available at the playstore.
well, i bought this fitness band : https://www.dtone.cc/fitness-tracker/dt58.html
i like it so far. Custom notifications partially work with the "Custom notificator" (or so), will keep track on that.
Now the websites states custom watchfaces. I can connect to the app provided: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.richtechie&hl=de
and can choose 8 watchfaces and it works.
Now i found https://c.mi.com/thread-2281025-1-0.html that i could modify, make my own watchface.
The above site provides https://amazfitwatchfaces.com/mi-band-4/ , which has a good collection of watchfaces, but i don't know, where to put these files after download, and if it is even possible for these to show up on my hplus app.
This is the different device.
So I am need of help in order to get some custom/ Third Party watch faces for this spare watch of mine.
Smartwatch: Noisefit Halo
First of all I'm unable to determine the OS used in this smartwatch. I wanted to download some third party watch faces for my watch however unable to do so bcz of the unknown OS, also this Watch doesn't seems to have the ability to install any sort of "apps" as well. Otherwise would have used Facer etc. Like in my galaxy watch 4.
Any help is appreciated.
I tried to find specs but had fail. 466x466 display only. very looks like usual chinese watch but without waterproof.
by price and resolution I'll suppose what it's a rtl8763 series chip. so more likely what it have a some sort of modification of rtos. it means what it more likely have a custom watch face format. share few original watch faces of this watch and m.b. I can tell you a bit more.
Thank you for the quick reply.
Yes, this is a IP68, AMOLED watch.
By original do I share the faces from Watch or the companion app that it works with ?
I have attached the screenshot of the watch faces. I really do not know if there is another way of sharing it as a file.
Once again, thanks a lot helping.

not sure what you able to extract watch faces from the watch. I need exactly watch face file from the companion app. mostly it's a "*.bin" files, usually in app folder.
My apologies. It seems the device needs to be rooted in order to see the files
I'll share the link of the app itself for your reference. Hope that helps somehow

no, root is not required. and no, I can't use this app because I have no appropriate watch to connect. and without watch connecting I can't download any watch face.
I'd install it and seems files must store at "android\data\myapps\com.noisefit\files\" perhaps it'll be have a folder "downloads" inside. watch faces files will apper in this folder only after installing/downloading via app.
Hi, so after fiddling around for a while a found the folders but they are of no use.
Two of them contain logs. One for watch and the other for my current phone.
Others are just empty. Enabled the hidden files as well.
Then there's this zip files which cannot be shared no matter what and it cannot be opened as well.
I've attached the ss so you may see and guide me further.
did you already install any wf via app? if no, install anyone and check ".\com.noisefit\files\" folder.
also share that "watchface.zip" file. not sure what it's useful, but file name at least promising.

just zip it once more. or copy to regular "download" folder before.
Yes. Earlier there were no such folders but when i installed the watch face and immediately wen to the com.noisefit folder the zip file and other folders appeared somehow.
As for the zip file I tried it all but it's not opening and gives me an error. No matter what app I use.
I'll try to copy to it to a different location and then attach it to see if that allows me to atleast share the file.
Thanks for the quick response mate.
sorry, did not found in "zip" any useful info. and yes, it's not a zip, and data inside this file not looks like a graphics.
what about files in ".\com.noisefit\files\" folder?
Everything else is empty sir, there's literally nothing and I've used several different file managers. Explored using every possible method
then sorry. in this case I know only the last way, but seems it'll be over hard for you:
- sniff the app to intercept watch face files (not so hard)
- analyze the app how it upload watch face file to the watch and write your own upploader (a way harder, even if you'll decide just to modify blestarter)
you may also try to find some sort of another compatible app (orunning, chronos, perhaps some gadget bridge based app...), but chances is too low.
Alright. It seems there are no locally downloaded wf available. They are all cloud based and do not download to the Device before getting synced with the watch itself. Log file said the same.
Thanks for all your help. I'll keep on fiddling around until I find it. M.b then i can share those files with you
you are welcome and good luck in your investigations.
n.b. if you just want to intercept app requests, use a some ssl capture app. you'll catch something like this: http://ft-cn.hetangsmart.com/public...032305191400427040BBCF&lcd=24&toolVersion=1.5 but for your app with watch faces list for your watch.
