Hm 5.1 removed the Performance option ? - Nvidia Tegra Note 7

I updated and now i cant find the performance option where u could make the tablet use only 2 cores and limit to 30 fps to save battery.. did they remove this ? that would be stupid

From another forum member I learned how to fix this. Tried to find the post but no luck. You have to download activity launcher https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.szalkowski.activitylauncher
Scroll down to settings
Then down to the setting that says
Com.android.settings.NvcontrolPanel
Press on that then you can get to the processor mode to adjust it.
He also recommended doing a long press on that settings to put a shortcut to it on your desktop which I did.

Speedbooster working well!

http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=speedbooster&tab=download
Just installed speedbooster v2 and I really like the application (under processes/add) speed up feature. I added new sms, new appointment and some common application I use often. The speed improvement is quite obvious.
I also have read that other users just adjusted all processes to high and have seen much faster speed on TP2 which I have yet to try.
Am observing the battery consumption but so far no significant deterioration after installation but still observing.
i concur, it has speeded up texting etc noticably when the right settings are tweaked.
Does this program just need to be run once or after every soft reset?
I have not noticed any major drop in bat life but will report back.
I noticed that a short cut shows up in "start-up". Believe it is restarted automatically after each reset.
By the way, there is a power saving selection that I have selected. After running it for almost a day, I have not noticed any significant drop of battery comparing to before the installation.

Can you share your settings you've tweaked? Thanks in advanced
yes a brief tutotial of what you guys did would be greatly appreciated
The setting I currently have... just to share.
1) Under processes: select highest for all. Select Refresh and select Monitor.
The best part here is the "Add" function which allows you to pick applications you want to add and speed up. Once you add, select highest speed as other processes. The improvement is really noticeable.
2) Memory: similiar to other clean Ram type of utilities. No setting required. Just hit Free.
3) Video speed: I select fastest and disable window animations.
4) Storage performance: Just select all to tick.
5) Tools: I only need battery hack (to last longer).
6) Benchmark & reset to default - as needed.
Hope this helps.

I don't have that but you might want to try uncheck "Show battery meter" in Tools and see if it fixes it...
Thank you! That did the trick.

There is a "Default settings" selection to reset back your phone to original setting that you can try out. I don't have this problem... but perhaps you might want to speed up one process at a time to check which process cause your problem.

You might want to uninstall, soft reset and install again if it does not open. On the battery meter bar, please see earlier post on disabling it under "Tools". Hope this helps.

Guys I swear my phone is on crack right now it's STUPID FAST with speedbooster and settings supplied. I applied full to file system as unregistered version only allows 1 selection and all I can say is WOW. I'm about to purchase the full version right now. Using this on Kaiser WM6.5 Josh Hybrid 7.

Power Options

Okay, this might seem like a stupid question but I'm wondering if anyone knows how to navigate to the DEFAULT screen or power settings app that comes with windows.. because manila has changed all the shortcuts in my settings folder and now i cant reach it..
As for the reason for me doing this... with Duttys R9 WWE (23533), I cant actually set it to turn the screen off after X seconds.. it instead has the option to "Turn off device if not used for: xx". This might seem like a minor issue but if i turn the screen on in my pocket by accident I can drain the battery completely.
NVM, got it.. removed the darn redirect on my power settings thing (shoulda thought of it before i posted lol)
But, if you still want to access the advanced tab from the power settings page, goto a registry editor and navigate to: HKLM\ControlPanel\Power\ and delete redirect. Just restart and It'll come up in the settings folder

[Q] How to change lockscreen timeout?

Hey guys,
Im using Windows 8 Release Preview (Build 8400)
When not moving the mouse or keyboard, the lockscreen appears exactly after 1 minute. This is really annoying when reading on a webpage or something else...
I googled & searched xda, but found nothing usefull. Also i checked the Windows 8 settings; found nothing.
Is there a way to change the lockscreen timeout?
Maybe with a registry hack?
yes you can change timeout for screen by this step
1-goto control panel and then choose power options
2-you will got two types of plane
3-at Balanced(recommended) right there are (Change plan settings)
Choose it and you will got 3 choices
Choose never to turn off the display& put the computer to sleep
And save it
I hope i helped you?
If you need anything tell me
Bye
Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk 2
Nah, sorry.
I dont mean display timeout. The lockscreen appears after exactly 1 min.
Doesnt matter, what the plan-settings say...
(My settings in the balanced plan are 5/10/60 min.)
Found the solution myself.. Thread can be closed^^
It is the screensaver setting. Even if there is no screensaver set, this affects the lockscreen timeout..

LG G2 Screen Jumping / What Window Transition App?

Hi Guys
Over the last couple of days I've been having problems with my screen jumping a little bit when i either close an app (with the exception of chrome) to return to the home screen or if I'm in the settings and i go back a page (it jumps every time i go pack a page).
If leave the phone in sleep mode for a while, when i unlock it everything works ok for the first 5-10 seconds and then it goes back to jumping if i close an app....etc
I've been doing a bit of googling (is that a word....lol) and there's a few people with the problem but i cant find any fixes.
I'm guessing that it could be that something on the motherboard has overheated but this is just a guess.
If anyone has any ideas then please let me know ?
Also I've found a temporary cure for when it happens when i close an app by installing nova launcher and going into the “look and feel” settings and enabling “slide Up” under the “App Animation” setting.
But does anyone know of an app that will allow me to change the transition effects of windows ?
Thanks guys

you've said that you have nova launcher installed...
nova settings > desktop > scroll effect (premium version offers more transition effects)
also, go to device settings > developer tools > and set animation scales to 0.5 instead of 1
if you don't have developer options under device settings, do the following:
1. open settings menu
2. go in "about phone" submenu
3. there go in "software information" submenu
4. click 7 to 8 times quickly on "build number"
5. developer tools should now be showing just above the "about phone” in settings
DO NOT change anything else there besides that animation scale values
Thanks for the reply
Yes i have nova installed and i have it set on cube but thats just for the home screen.
What i need is an app that will let me change other screens.
For example the screens in settings.
The strange thing is that the screen only seems to jump when im going back (i think its the zoom out effect).
Ive just found an app called xuimod that u think has the oprion i need.
Ill post back if it works
Well guys....
It turns out i can do everything with xuimod so i dont even need to keep nova.
But i dont think this fix is going to last if the jumping gets worse.
So is there any known fix for the jumpy screen ?
Anyone ?
Its like a VERY mild form of whats happening to this guys phone:

Tutorial: Letv Le1s: Reducing battery consumption for non-rooted Le1s

Here are the few tips you could use to reduce the battery consumption for your device. I use it for my Le1s and it helps me, hence I'm sharing it with you.
1) Uncheck "Scanning always available" in WiFi settings.
2) Avoid live wallpapers
3) Use manual brightness feature and uncheck auto brightness
4) Dont need vibration, then switch vibration and hepatic feedback off.
5) Set screen timeout to 15 seconds and increase it if necessary.
6) Switch off the hardware features like WiFi, Bluetooth, gps if not needed
7) Use the battery assistant feature frequently, it helps a lot.
8) Dont use too much of ram consuming widgets
9) Switch off auto-sync and enable it when needed
10) Keep your apps and system firmware updated and to the latest version.
11) Turn off voice commands if not needed, like Google Search commands, Cortana, etc.
12) Dont use app killers or ram optimizers, just swipe away the apps you don't need from the recent menu.
This guide is for people who dont know about the tips. Power users may know about it already.
