Hello,
Day ago my S4 lost his IMEI. Phone was rooted (KNOX 0x1) samsung service said that they wont fix it.
What should I do ?
I tried resetting, flashing orginal Samsung ROMs etc.
I dont have EFS Backup because im not using custom roms only root.
If you did nothing and the IMEI just disappeared then your EMMC chip is damaged. It's ridiculous that Samsung won't fix it. In what country do you live?
The EMMC costs a few dollars so maybe you can find someone who can solder it for you.

Well to answer this quick. Just make sure you have an EFS backup before you do anything. if something goes wrong you could always restore you EFS and have your IMEI restored.
Just flash it with a same region as your phone is.
Don't use a UK Firmware on the Hong Kong version phone.
Hi!
I have got a samsung s4 i9500. Tried rooting it with a buggy rom, i guess. So decided to flash my phone with 4.4.2. Got null IMEI/unknown baseband.
Then found a thread saying "fix imei_null", tried that and got a generic IMEI. Originally I had lollipop, now I have 4.4.2.
I do not have backup of efs folder or anything else. Also do not have z3x box or any other.
Tried everything else and nothing helps. You guys are my last hope.
Please please help! Don't want to spend INR 9k/ $ 150 at samsung service station, I dont think they will be able to solve this problem even after spending so much!
The service center could definitely fix things. If your buggy ROM happened to be Android 5.0.1, flash an Android 5.0.1 modem and your IMEI may be restored. Otherwise, to the service center go you must.
I have two Galaxy S4 LTE i9505......But one have imei problem with null imei and uknown baseband..........is it possible to repair it with another i9505?

Both phone is ok.......just one have imei problem.......so i want to know that is there any way to backup imei of i9505(with imei) and restore it on another i9505(with null imei)?????
What you're attempting to do (cloning the IMEI) is not legal and thus cannot be discussed here. For your device with IMEI woes, try reinstalling the ROM. Otherwise take it to Samsung and have them fix it.
yes cloning(my own s4 imei) imei or just network fix without imei.

If imei got lost without you doing anything then you have hardware failure and need to replace emmc chip.
imei lost because of downgrade to android 4.4.2,flashed 5.0.1 again but imei didn't come back

Hi everyone, i'll beging in thanks for anyone that can help me with my problem
So my phone just got a random crash, after that the network won't work at all. What i tried :
Testing another sim card from other provider
Wiping the phone in Odin
Custom rom with custom kernel
Restoring EFS
Checking if water damage inside the phone
Imei is good
Phone was bought in Canada it's the dual sim model so no warranty here.
Could i get it repaired in the country of origin for free ?
Also can a *box* could repair the modem ?
Any help would be accepted

So by complete freak accident I copied over a TWRP backup of my mom's Galaxy S6 which was running an S8+ port ROM, and I restored it to my S8+ by accident - TWRP restored that backup to my S8+ and obviously I was unable to boot, but also my EFS & baseband was ruined because it tried to restore the Galaxy S6 EFS and baseband to my S8+ :crying: :crying: so now after flashing back a normal Galaxy S8+ ROM I can't make any calls/etc as expected.
I do have an EFS backup of my phone but that backup is stored in a computer which is in another country, and I won't have access to it for another 3 months...
Anyways, I was hoping if there was anyone that could help me repair my S8+ IMEI. I only have $5 USD in my Paypal that I could pay, I know its not much but I would really appreciate any help with this. I also have some balance in an SMM panel that I could give as additional compensation if someone is interested in that too. Thanks
EDIT: Nevermind, fixed by @ZeroXO
Thanks and best regards

Imei are cert based on s8s. I'm not gonna give any sites. But imei repair is a Google search not here. Since you damaged the cert based imei possibly it will cost a lot more than 5 USD. Going rates I've seen are about 100 or so USD. So of some one could get you a copy of that efs sent to you your gold of not I would find a backup til you can repair it

Hello, I had a similar issue with a galaxy S8, I contacted Samsung, they told me to use the "galaxy-s-unlock" app, which requires Busybox. And for me it worked ! Maybe you can try on the s8 sd
