Looks like another update is around the corner:

Its available for download now.
Edit-checked with VZW tier 2 tech support and they have no idea what this even is or what's in it.

I wonder if this has something to do with the soak test invite I got last night. It looks like the update is available to everyone, so that doesn't really make sense, but who knows.
Yeah, checking for updates list it, but no idea what it is. The update is 24.8mb, so it's not like 5.1.1.
probably advanced callin gupdate
Probably a bug update to LP. Anyone find out how to do the multi-user shpiel?

No multi user with this update.

They say multi user support in the website but as the above user mentioned no multi user support yet...

Nope, no multi user option. But my 4g signal went from about -120 to -110. Still crap but better I guess.

I had the hotspot icon on the original LP update, but it only showed after you first activate your Mobile Hotspot with the provider (VZ for me)

Makes sense as I just used it last night for the first time since LP. Thanks.
Installing OTA now, will update if I notice anything worth sharing

I'm downloading it now to verify, but that file was uploaded 2 days ago. Didn't the update just start rolling out today?

In the upgrade.xml, there's a line that says "quark_verizon-user 5.1.1 LCF23.80 80 release-keys." That extra .1 is not a typo. Where did this file come from?

I got it too,
It says I can only use PC Companion to update, how can I get it to do OTA update?
Also got this, and despite the description saying I can get it OTA or using PC Companion, directly below it says "You can only use a computer to update your phone."
Using PC Companion will make me lose root, won't it?

I have this notification, but I'm already on this version. Why is it telling me to update to the version I'm already on and how can I remove it.
Not a problem, root is still applicable on this version of Android... What I'm curious about is why it wasn't available as an OTA update, and only made as an update through a PC. Anyone know why?

I updated my Play last night in the pub, OTA. Vodafone UK.
One minor addition, which for a lot of people is a major addition, is the new option for turning the display Automatic Brightness on and off.. about time! I was quite surprised how bright the screen can actually go.
I'd like to see the Brightness Level app from Curvefish I have on my home screen updated to include the switch. I read Kindle books in the dark before I go to sleep and the 0 level is way too bright until you turn Automatic Brightness back on. I'll probably contact the dev.
I just got this update a few minutes ago. I can't seem to find anyone talking about it. Anyone got any information on changes?
Just the stage fright patch
To me this is kind of a disappointment, considering that the time was taken to produce a security update for an exploit that has been around a while, but the release a new os for the ultra/maxx/mini users that could better the experience and patch the security issues is nowhere in sight. Furthermore with this patch, its very doubtful that we will see L on our devices.

Big disappointment indeed. This is all Verizon has to offer? A patch for the stagefright bug? Wow, I'm impressed. Not!
Yeah, I think at this point droid maxx/ultra/mini users can pretty much forget about getting Lollipop. I mean come on, L has been out for a year and these phones are two years old now. They (the carriers) are not going to waste time, money, and effort on dinosaur phones, especially with Marshmallow out now.
Edit: Just got my "New system software available". Had to go into settings>system update to get the notification. The update is only 2.7 megabytes. Just a bug patch, that's all.
Whoopee! Not!
So if they don't deliver, will maxx users get a kickback like atrix hd owners did when kk wasn't delivered.

Surprising that they are slacking so bad with so many 2013 droid phones that receive the same update with the ultra and mini supposed to get it too and the mini is still being sold at Verizon.

Stock launcher update, no more safe boot crashes while you have more than 200 apps.

Look at the zip, many apps updated.
Will because of this I bet we are not gonna see 5.1 on are phones tell next year if at all.
And im also gonna hold off on updating in hopes of a bootloader unlock to install some roms/make my own.

The "update" is only 2.7 mb in size. There is not a lot going on with the update. Just the stagefright patch that's all.
Verizon took all this time just to come out with a 2.7 mb update? This sucks bigtime.
I'm looking at getting the Moto X Pure. It is unlocked and can be used on Verizon's network. The bootloader is unlockable through Motorola/Lenovo. I don't want any more of Verizon's locked down phones.

You're wrong! Many apps updated to fix long standing bugs. LOOK at the 2 sys app folders before you make ignorant statements. I took it based on the app folder content, it fixed a major bug. I got the update as well, green battery icon or more distinguished battery icon....also when I hold down the power button to turn it off it now has a battery percentage along eith power off reset and what not, not sure if that is nes or not the added battery life on power hold that is. I got this update yesterday, and now Im having new issues.. The lockscreen doesn't actually lock half the time, even when manually pressing the lock button. I'll hit 'home' to wake the phone and find myself right on my homescreen instead of the lock screen. I also keep getting a popup that says 'network connection failed', but everything seems to be working normally... Anybody else having issues from this new update?
My wife and I got this update to Nougat on Saturday (03/25). Went from Android 6.something to Android 7.0.
Overall, it seems a little snappier, but I think I had the lockscreen issue this morning that Smoghog mentioned. Pulled it off my belt and when I looked at the screen it was open and dialing my wife.
I'm also not sure I like that the pulldown notifications are in smaller type. My wife's a little upset she can't customize the balloon colors in Messages (unless we're missing something).
Only other thing is why is the security update from February if they're pushing this at the end of March?

Update 6/21/2017: OTA update to Android 7.1.1 is out, and I received the OTA and installed it around 10 pm CST. Working great so far!! I like to think that my writing this post here on XDA finally caught the attention of ZTE, so they decided to get the update out ASAP lol. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Getting a Nougat update for the Axon 7 mini seems to be too much of a challenge for ZTE. As most of you know, ZTE has been running a closed Beta test of Android Nougat for our device. Three months is a pretty long Beta test, and it seems to me that ZTE may be experiencing some problems. I am not part of the Beta, I was in the hospital and didn't find out about it until sign ups were over. Is there anyone who's running the Beta right now that could give us an update? Feel free to PM me, and I can pass any updated info along to those of us not in the Beta, as I don't want anyone who does pass the info along to get in trouble for violating an NDA. Thanks!

I have received information about the beta via a couple of PM's from active beta testers. Looks like they are currently testing 7.1.1 with the June security patch. The software is said to be running good, but has a couple unspecified bugs that need to be corrected. All sources indicate that the update should be releasing very soon, but no confirmed release date yet. I wi6add further information as I receive it.

That's just weird. According to the beta testers, that build was sent to them shortly after the beta began, and still has some software bugs. I would have thought that ZTE would at least have one more update to the firmware prior to launch.
I guess we'll see if ZTE just ignored the bugs to get the update out. Apparently the OTA is supposed to be available, but I'm not seeing it yet (Missouri). Anyone here in the US been able to update yet?

Is it possible to set a custom dpi?
So I reset my phone and that didn't fix my problem. I messed around with all the WiFi & WiFi calling settings and cellular data settings with none of them fixing my problem. I then turned on the developers options and for some reason that fixed my cellular from turning on and off.
That fixed my issue if anyone has the same problem.

not exactly. They have 2 options in the Display settings, 1 for Font size with Small, Default, Large, and Largest options, and another for Display size with Small, Default, and Large options. Those screenshots were taken with both set to Small

Okay thanks man
My son's got it this morning finally... Update took a while, probably close to 40 minutes start to finish, including the "Android is upgrading" portion after full boot. That must be an N thing, it rebuild cache on the fly or something. So far so good, no issues or problems yet.
We don't have T-Mobile here, use H2O (an AT&T MVNO) and so far no issues with radios or connection.
TBH, the more I play with this device the more I like it... the UI isn't too bad, one thing that gets me is the modified "Home" menu and you can't easily switch launchers without uninstalling one, but that is for another thread if I ever decide to pursue it.

Actually, it's in the Developer Settings. I saw it under "smallest width," if I'm not mistaken.

So, after I installed the update, I had connection problems. Everything had trouble using data. I reset and it's fine. And I must say, I'm impressed. It feels smoother and faster than before. I'm happy they finally released it.

I checked for an update tonight after reading this article and am now downloading what I presume is 7.1.1.
