A while ago i bricked my LG G2 D801, it was behaving very strange. I woke up in The morning booted it and all was well, then all of sudden it freaked out and booted into recovery and recovery showed no files at all, i googled this problem and found no solution so i rebooted the phone again. Then Poof- everything was back to normal except a couple more minutes go by and its back in recovery without me doing anything, so i decided to put it back to stock rom because it was Resurrection Remix at the time. I put it in download mode and tried to flash but it went to 96 percent and stopped. When i tried to turn it on all it does is show the LG logo then go into download mode automatically. I have tried all the LG flash tools and tried TOT files and KDZ but nothing works, BTW i was using TWRP. Since then i bought an LG G2 off ebay with a broken screen and switched the motherboards, but it would still be nice to fix my other G2 to possibly sell it. Thanks for the help in advance!

LG G2 Verizon Wireless, locked bootloader
I was trying to wipe my data through TWRP for G2, when it crashed. Not able to boot into recovery, and when putting the phone in download mode, the Windows Flash Tool (UpTestEx) does not give any errors, but the phone doesn't seem to do anything.
Any ideas?

Had the same issue a few days ago. TWRP, CWM, and Philz wouldn't flash properly, but I'm pretty sure it was my fault. Currently I have CWM installed by FreeGee (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=edu.shell.freegee_free).
WARNING: You should know that there is a risk with using FreeGee. If you don't plan to use download mode, you're good. But currently, I am without download mode after flashing. Still trying to figure out a way to fix it. System works, recovery works, but I cannot revert to stock at the moment.

Hi there Ben, thanks for the reply but I've just tried that app you give me the kink to and it's not working for me. Just performing action and nothing else, it seems to be stuck, I've even rebooted and still does the same

Are you sure the phone turns off ? Or is the screen blank? (not off but rather gray?)

OK, let's return to the start.
1. You're sure it's rooted and SU is working? Rootcheck is on the play store and you can use that to check
2. In FreeGee, did you tap on a recovery on the bottom? And did FreeGee freeze on this step? Did you give FreeGee root access/permission?
3. If FreeGee installed a recovery, it won't automatically reboot. Have you attempted to reboot into recovery? If you're not sure if it has installed, I would not recommend going through the hard reset page because if it's not actually installed yet, you would go through a factory reset. You could download an app to boot into recovery though (I.e. CWM ROM manager, TWRP, or quickboot. All free on the play store.)

Hello, I have recently rooted my phone, installed TWRP and then I have installed Cyanogen mod, without installing gapps, now I think I have bricked my G2 International version. I have set the phone 15 minutes at first boot and it keeps looping. Any help would be appreciated.
Anyone? I can only access the download mode..
Restore the factory settings

If your phone can power on, it is NOT bricked! A phone is bricked when it starts behaving like an actual brick: no power, no response etc.
If you can access download mode, flash a stock ROM and start again.
Yea I know cuz I bricked my previous phone and also the phone m currently using was also bricked like I flashed the lg g3 cloudy rom but finally I accomplished my task like I unbricked my phone man...... But I successfully completed and now m using it..... Try to factory reset.... That's how I know ?

i worked for many hours last night and ended up fixing the problem phone is unrooted now and im keeping it this way.
A quick fix for me was this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54533271&postcount=2&nocache=1&z=4822198618125463
I got notice there was a Verizon update software update for my G2 today. I downloaded it and tried to install it. After about 3%, it stopped and get an error code: Ox117008. I am rooted, but that is it. No special roms, or anything other than stock rom.
I did however had xposed installed at one time, but has been uninstalled.
I tried factory reset, but the update still errored out.
Does anyone know what is going on? Do not tell me I have to flash a stock image!
Anyway, thanks a ton!

How do I get Vs980 into download mode? I downloaded everything to flash stock firmware. When I went to flash, it stopped and said my phone was disconnected, unplug and reconnect. It did this over and over. I installed the lg drivers.
Do I need to be in some kind of mode for it to work? Do I need to shut phone off and hold buttons to get into update mode? HELP!!!!
