[Q] Lost Radio Connectivity (3G/4G/WIFI) Please HELP - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok, here is the info:
System version:
183.46.15
Android 4.4.2
Baseband:
SM_BP__101031.042.32
Kernel is July 29, 2014
Build # 62-15.1
Phone was rooted and running on Straight Talk Verizon network. 3G and 4G were working fine and then I got stupid fingers. I accidentally hit "restore to default" in the APN and it took the ST APN and now all I have is about 10 Verizion Wireless APN settings which appear to ALL be the same. NONE of them work. I called ST and they tried an OTA APN update. I got 1X for about 30 seconds and then nothing. I waited 2 Hrs like they said, over night, and nothing. Phone call and text work great still.
**I have Factory Reset. I have reflashed firmware.**
In the Status portion of the phone it says:
Mobile Network state = disconnected
Network type and strength - 1x = -88dBm 3G = -93dBm
Strangest of all, I think, is last night I was on the wifi trying to download the Motorola Restore Connectivity Settings just to see if it would work. I sent the link from my PC to my phone via txt message and when I clicked it and it launched, the phone tried to load the page in the Play Store but it froze and now I can't load any web page, facebook, gmail from my phone. Wifi says connected but browser says I am offline.
Have I fried the radio some how or is there something I'm missing. I was for sure that firmware reflash would fix ALL settings?

MyTouch not showing Edge/3G icon

I woke up this morning and my phone is not showing an E or 3G or even a G for that matter
At the lock screen it shows I'm registered on T-mobile network. I can place and receive calls/texts.
I can't access anything that uses data though. I've tried rebooting the phone and doing a battery pull.
This has me baffled.
This happened to me today too. I wasn't using any data so I thought nothing of it till a bit later when I restarted my phone and when it booted back up 3G came back on and the icon came back.
My theory is that the phone only tries to reconnect every once in a while to the Internet when the service goes down so it probably was just down when you tried before.
Can anyone confirm that this was a system wide Internet outage? Or regional? (Philly for me here)
Still no icons for me. i'm in alabama.
In my haste to figure it out I did a factory wipe/reset hoping to solve the problem. It didn't help. Now I can't sign into my gmail because it can't connect.
Still looking for help here if anyone can offer any
try checking your apns
Check your apns under settings>mobile networks> apns
Should say internet2.voicestream.com as on of the apns. Do a Google search to find the correct alms if you don't have T-Mobile
Hey, thanks for trying to help but it came back on its own just now. After i ended a call the E flashed for a second and then 3G popped back up and has been fine ever since. To bad I had to go all day without my data.
oh, and as far as I know my APN has always been epc.tmobile.com it works fine.
I am experiencing the same problem in France. Apparently it comes from the cyanogen mode (wether it is version 404, 418 or 4.10.1). When I install it everything's fine for a few hours and then the E/G/3G disappears most of the time, just showing (less than 1sec) every now and then. I can call, text but no mms/web/market dl ...
I tried a backup, wipe and reboot. Everything works, but a few hours later ...
If I restore the backup it still won't get 3G...
Is the only answer to wait and see ?
Great, I just installed the "CME_DHD2_COMPACT_v1.6_CWM_ODEX_RAM" ROM and I do not have any APN entry at all.

[Q] No Data Connection (3G/2G) on Nexus 4 after Google KitKat 4.4 Update on T-Mobile

Hello.
Just today, I have finally decided to update my nexus 4 to android 4.4. I downloaded the factory restore image from Google for 4.4 KRT16S, and installed it.
After reboot and setting up all my apps, I have noticed I'm not getting a data connection anymore. I was connected on 3G just fine a few minutes ago. What's going on?
If i open google chrome and try to go to a page, it says "Wifi and Mobile Data is turned off", however going into Settings -> Data Usage I see mobile data is turned on. I turn it off and back on again to no avail. I can see my phone number and make calls out just fine. I have tried toggling between 2G/3G. I have also tried checking the APN's and they are correct.
I'm lost. No matter what I do, going into Settings -> About Phone -> Status it is always showing "Mobile network state disconnected".
Is this a bug with 4.4, or what?
Edit: Fixed it! The problem was that in the shipped 4.4 rom from google, someone made a mistake with the APN's.
The default T-Mobile APN field was blank. I created one with the APN set to epc.t-mobile.com and immediately it started to work. The DASH is very important, as epc.tmobile.com does NOT work.

Can't call but data working

Hey!
I started getting this after 6.0.1 update on my Canadian version (SM-N910W8)
Basically it shows data over mobile network connected but shows no signal for the phone part (see attached). Data is working fine but you cannot make or receive calls as well as SMS ain't working.
I reset the phone to defaults after getting OTA (well OTA wouldn't work for me so I used the new Samsung Smart Switch desktop app to update the phone).
Upon reboot everything gets back to normal and after half a day or so the above happens again.
ANy ideas?
Thanx!!!
Google your APN settings for your carrier and add it in to a new entry. Save, select then reboot.

I337 Unlocked was getting 4G Data with no issues, Now I only get 2G/EDGE?

Hi every one,
As the title says I've been using an Unlocked i337 with Simple Mobile carrier for the better part of a year now with zero issues, and happy with my 4G data working fine for a very long time until today when I seen my phone was only showing Edge data with the "E" indicator. I have tried searching and troubleshooting it, and nothing comes up. I recently rooted but 4G data was working just fine even after root. I have checked APN settings and toggled off and on. I went into the test menu and GSM/LTE is selected. I don't have any option in the settings menu to turn 4G off or on. What seems to be the problem?
Also for the record I have called Simple Mobile customer service for help but they can barely understand me let alone help me but they did check my account to see if any thing got adjusted and they resent OTA signal to my phone and every thing checked out fine. They just kept telling me restart my phone about 10 times.
Model: i337
Android Version: 4.2.2
If I haven't included any other crucial details let me know. Thanks

x below lte signal and not internet connection help!

Hello so as stated above for some reason i have an x below my signal bar but it still says lte but not connection, ive tried the following, remove sim and put it back in (both with the phone off and on), checked my apns which i never had to mess with before (which i didnt have this issue yesterday just saw it when i got to work which i usually have lte signal), turn on and off airplane mode, turn off and on mobile data, ive tried every fix i could think of so far with none of them working.. my cell service is been paid and i checked my straight talk account to make sure, but now comes the weird part when im connected to wifi and pull down the quick toggles it shows no x under the lte (see screenshot below) does anyone know how to fix this issue i rely on my lte data for directions and gps at work.
Phone info:
Android 8.1 beta opp5 rooted
Thanks to anyone that can help!
I am having this same issue as of this morning, and I am on the Straighttalk AT&T network. I wonder if they just updated their APN network and our APN settings need to be updated too? If so, I'm not sure what settings to use.. using the straight talk website and selecting "Android 4.0" (the newest version listed), it shows the settings I'm currently using. Anyone else having/resolved this issue?

Borrow a (different carrier) SIM from a friend to see if it is a network issue. If the LTE works on that SIM, go to ST and have them provision another SIM for you (free). If the LTE still doesn't work, back your phone up, wipe it, flash a full image.

I called STW tech support, and they told me I had the wrong APN... I updated my APN settings (but really it was nothing other than changing the ID, so I don't think it had any real effect) and still had no data. After checking downdetector.com, it appears there is a widescale data outage with straight talk (or more specifically, AT&T). One of the commenters stated the following:
"I can confirm the issue is DNS. If you have the ability to changes the DNS on your phone, you can restore service. If you have Android + Root, I used DNS Override successfully. Just set DNS Servers to Google's"
I just used DNS Override ($2 app) to set my DNS servers to Google's and that resolved my issue. Hope that helps. If you don't want to spend $2, there are some free apps that also will change the DNS servers for you, and there are other methods detailed here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ge...ide-how-to-change-dns-android-device-t3273769
Update: earlier that day ot seemed to resolve itself while i was driving at work amd got to my destination which was about an hour away and once i looked at my phone ot no longer had the x and had full service amd working lte so idk maybe it was cell tower maintenence but don't know for sure but the issue hasn't happened again tho but thanks for everyone for the help and suggestion!
