phone won't go past 50%

hey guys.
i have a tmobile hd2 and i've noticed that my phone wont go past 50% with memory usage without having to restart itself. its very annoying. it happens after ive been using the phone for a while or been using the wi-fi router. my touch pro 2 never did that to me though so im wondering whats wrong.

Is it getting hot? Mine gets warm after using WIFI router. Once, only once, and I have no idea why because it hasn't done it since then, it randomly rebooted. I understand that higher temps can cause issues with the HD2. I'd do a search but I'm too frazzeled after a long day of work.

it cant be the heat...my phone gets warm but not hot once in a while. when it resets itself, it doesnt have to be hot to do it.
and when it does reset itself, it forgets to start the gps so i have to reset it again
i hate when it does it...is that normal to not go past 50% ram usage? does anyone elses do that? im gonna call and get a replacement but does anyone elses HD2 not go past it?

You don't have your ROM in your sig, so I don't know if you have a custom or not.
For sure, you phone crashing that fast is a shame and not normal.
If you are running a custom ROM, try getting on that thread to see if someone has or had the same issue. Sometimes these things happen and fixes are pretty fast if the chef wants to keep an audience.
If you are running stock, you might consider giving a custom ROM a shot, especially some of the "Lite" versions out there.
Be sure to Task 29 between any flashing to wipe out all previous data. Spare bits hanging around can interfere with a new ROM in unpredictable ways, including developing a crash pattern specific to your device that doesn't happen to other users of the same ROM.
Please keep us informed of your progress, someday another might have the issue and be looking for your solution, even if that is a hardware warranty exchange

hmm, i can see the rom version and everything on my sig... =/
im running the stock rom.
i wanted to go to a custom rom but then i hate having to update the rom every time a new one comes out. you know? props to the chefs who do that though!
i just had it exchanged. it was too annoying to keep going on like that

Sorry for the noob question if this has been answered ive searched all over and can't find it.
I have been running this for a week exactly today withzero problems but just last night started having an issue that I can not figure out.
I noticed the phone getting low on battery, so I plugged it in and it was EXTREMELY hot, way more than usual. Also I can no longer get a signal. It just says No signal and I can not get anything. I can connect to wifi. It stays extremely hot even when not charging.
I did a full wipe before I installed and even again last night tried it with no luck, same problem.
I restored back to the stock ROM and that works fine, but I really loved VU so I'd love to figure this out and get it working.
Any one know anything about this?

When its low on battery (10% or low), its on power saver mode. It disables wifi..you can turn that off in settings.

I turned the Power Saver off. I actually went in to a store this morning and they believe I have a bad antenna. Switching the SIM card resulted in the same problem. They are sending me a WR.

Or just try to reflash it, and run at preset values.

[Q] i9500 randomly reboots, wifi doesn't work and other problems

Hi, I bought my GS4 i9500 around 2 months ago, and few days ago while I was listening to music, someone called me and I noticed that the phone was a bit hot. I'm not exactly sure that that was the source of this problem.
Anyway, when I put the phone down, it didn't work, and after a few seconds it rebooted.
Ever since it rebooted it keeps doing problems - it reboots once in a while, the wi-fi doesn't work, and the touch is delayed sometimes (it doesn't respond for a while, and after a few seconds it suddenly responds to all the gestures I did over the last few seconds.).
I tried factory resting it, change frimware, clear cache and everything, and still nothing worked. It still does these problems.
I took it to the store where I bought it and they flashed it, and still it didn't solve it.
The problem is I rooted the phone, and I'm afraid the warranty won't be accepted if I send them the device.
Anyone knows what the problem might be?

If you mean by that to flash the original frimware, i've already tried that..

Noop, sorry man. when i did go fully back to stock it went off... i think its a warranty problem here.

well, i'm currently dealing with the problem too, it automatically boots itself, my reception goes off, eventough im not in a dead spot. but: it only happens if im on ~20% battery. i think its a softwaresided problem. im running on the normal stock touchwiz with android 4.2.2.
im gonna send it to the operator, maybe it really is a warranty-sided problem.

Sent to operator, unfortunately the warranty has been expired (probably because I rooted), and they want ~450$ to repair it..
Hopefully ill find some solution.

~450$ suggest to get new one , when device reboot see if the battery temperature maybe the wrong with battery I was have the reboot problem and fixed with replace battery and reinstall full rom.
my rom is UBMG9

[Q] since update yesterday my phone keeps doing constant 3 second freezes??

So the update come yesterday to my S4 done it and now my phone is constantly doing like 3 second freezes and then catches up? Am I the only one or is there others? Iv had no issues before this update and its making my phone bloody annpying to use. Is there maybe someone to contact??

Is it the MKE update?
Sorry for not replying to the issue but is there an improvement in battery life?

Do a system/data wipe in recovery.

I had the same problem. In my case I only wiped the cache.

s4 black screen

hello every one...
im using my s4 for about 1 year already with no issues exept for the battery as it drains fast and not last a day..
now im facing another prob...
sometimes it gets black screen and hang when i watched on net... (youtubemobile)sample....
it will take hot for a while then it will suddenly turns to black which triggers me to restart it or remove the battery so it can turned of...
this is not happening often or everytime... but sometimes it bothers me with this issue...
is there someone also facing same problem as i do?

Hi,on which version you are,it sounds like your phone is not updated to latest version.update your phone to latest firmware first....it may solve your issue.

its already updated to kitkat version....
so how can i resolve this?
