Wifi and LTE Data not working after TWRP Restore (CM12) - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all.
I have installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 on my Galaxy S5, made a backup using the TWRP backup function, I ticked the modem box as well as the default options, then went and installed SIXPERIENCE ROM, but when I went back to restore, Wifi just says "Searching for IP adress" and data is just a grey line with no 0.0 data used. Settings crashes if going to view data usage.
Please help!

Cannot connect data

Here's the problem.
I've flashed Miui 2.1.20 multilang, on the first day everything was fine, then suddenly, while downloading an app my data went down. I mean only my data, I had network for calling and everything.
So I tried to reset to factory, and I had an empy phone, with MIUI obviously, but it still didn't work.
So before restoring the backup, I've flashed Cyano, samee problem.
I restored the custom rom with no better results and i've then factory reset it once more.
And here I am, without any data connection.
I've tried to call my mobile operator(TIM) to reset the APN connections, but it says that service is unavailable, but it seems that it is unavailable for me only, everyone's else works just fine. It's not the IMEI, i've already checked, and I've tried to manually set the APN, still nothing.
Does anybody have a clue of what happened?
Have you tried 2.3.5 official?
Yes, I'm using that atm but I still have no data.

[SOLVED] WiFi won't turn on after nandroid restore

Wanted to restore a backup, so I wiped my Cache, Dalvik Cache and System then restored a TWRP nandroid backup. After booting back into Android I can't get any WiFi whatsoever.
In Settings, I clicked the Off/On button on WiFi, it changes to On but it doesn't show a Wifi icon in Notifications area. So I clicked WiFi and it just shows a "Turning on WiFi..." message on the next screen.
I've also tried enabling disabling Airplane mode, but makes no difference. Bluetooth works though. Even WiFi Analyser tries to turn on WiFi with no success.
Any ideas what's wrong?
Using Stock ROM, unlocked and rooted.
edit: Opened a terminal emulator and ran logcat, shows this which is probably relevant? W/IInputConnectionWapper( 5025): showStatusIcon on inactive InputConnection
Couldn't figure out how to fix it so I restored an old CWM backup I made when I got the device, WiFi worked, so then I restored the TWRP backup again, without doing the manual wiping beforehand (that must have affected it somehow?), now WiFi works.
Odd.

[Q] CM12.1 Nightly, no data connection?

Before we begin: My APN is set, as CM12.1 comes with proper APN's. I confirmed the settings against my carriers support page.
I have an install of XtreStoLite on 502, and it works great. I did a nandroid backup, and then wiped system/data and both caches, and installed the nightly from last night (18th), along with gapps. It installs fine, connects to wifi OK, and apps download and everything, but as soon as I disconnect the WiFi, there's no data connection.
I can recieve texts and calls, but no MMS and no data of any kind.
The phone's hidden support menu shows that I don't have a GPRS connection, and the IP Test fails due to connection problems.
Help?
I've since restored back to XtreStoLite and my phone is working fine, with data and everything.

CM 12.1 on my LG G2 lost all my saved WiFi Networks

Hello all,
After I was talking on the phone 2 days after updating to CM 12.1 (version 12.1-2015.11.02-NIGHTLY-d802) my phone restarted and I have lost all of my Saved WiFi Networks; when I go in the WiFi settings and press options > Saved Networks, I can't see any network.
I have ES File Explorer and went into System\etc\wifi but I don't really know what to check in there..
How can I restore them back?
Thankfully I have my phone backups from TWRP recovery but never saved them via Titanium Backup
I was thinking to upgrade to newer CM 12.1, backup via TWRP, Wipe System/Cache/Dalvik - restore to the previous one, turn on, backup my WiFi networks through Titanium Backup, wipe System/Cache/Dalvik, restore to the current one. but it will take time and make my phone really hot..
Is there any other way to bring the saved networks back without restoring to the previous backup and upgrading again?
thanks,
Stefanos Constantinou

Can't restore settings or app data in CM 13 or 12.1

Hi.
I managed to root my T-Mobile G900T
I put Vision-X on it and got all my settings and data back, no problem. Then I decided I wanted to try something different, and loaded up CM 13. It worked fine, but I couldn't restore my data and settings. I tried CM 12.1 and had the same problem. When I use TWRP and try to restore data I get caught in and endless boot loop. I cannot get any of the app backup apps to work, and Titanium won't even recognize my SD card.
Any ideas?
