I didn't see this posted anywhere but Best Buy has The Lg G4. They will price match the $549.99 price from Verizon and give you a $100 gift card. On top of that, LG is giving an extra battery, leather back, and charging cradle.
http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/g4/cover-promo I have unlimited data, and I thought the gift card was only available with Edge and contract plans. I paid cash for the phone and walked out with a $100 gift card in hand, and didn't even ask about it!!
They must have changed their policy. When I purchased my phone last month at full price (ATT) you had to call and request the $100 gift card. Lots of people complaining in the BB forums about this mess. Glad they finally fixed that and educated their sales staff on that promotion
damn, i wish at&t would bring the price down to 549. i got the BB 100 gift card earlier this week with my outright purchase, but not until after a fight with the manager
I got my $100 gift card printout no problem and no questions asked.

So last week I went to best buy to order my Evo and the rep there told me that they were not taking orders for the Evo. I asked if they were just sold out of reserves of if they werent taking them and she told me that Best Buy wont be taking reserves for that phone! Seemed crazy to me but i just went down the street to "The Shack" and ordered it there and saved 100 bucks and got a 20 accesory credit so i guess it worked out. Does anyone who works at best buy know if this is true or was she just blowing smoke up my ass? The store is in Springfield PA #582. By the way i CAN NOT wait to get my hands on this phone!!
Best Buy is taking pre-orders. That store was full of ****.
You probably just spoke with someone that didn't get enough oxygen when they were born. Best buy does pre orders and there is no rebate.
I kind of assumed she was just being a douche and didnt feel like ringing it up since it was 8:30pm when i got there. On the other hand the awesome rep at rat shack stayed 30 minutes after closing to set me up.
Best Buy's website says "Pre-order yours today at select Best Buy stores". Maybe your Best Buy isn't a "select" store?
yea my local BB is taking them i was the first to place my order
My BB is taking pre-orders ... I did mine almost two weeks ago and I was the very first customer.
Can someone help me understand this?
Since Radio Shack is giving you $50 gift card that can be used towards the phone purchase, along with instant rebate of $100 that means you will be actually spending only 299 - 100 - 50 = 149 + taxes.
Why would anyone buy from Best Buy? Are they too giving $50 gift card?
I also heard Radio Shack is giving you additional $20 for accessories!
Why would anyone buy from Best Buy then? Am I missing something?

You have to buy the $50 gift card, it isn't given to you. Basically you are putting $50 down to guarantee that they will have a phone for you sit it will be
$50 (at pre order) + $299 -$100(rebate) -$50(gift card) = $199 total.

They don't give you $50.
You buy a $50 gift card that can be applied towards the purchase of the Evo.
And yes, when you come into buy your Evo, they will give you a free $20 gift card that you can apply towards any EVO accessories.
I pre-ordered mine through Radio Shack and can't wait to get my hands on it!
I believe you have to exchange $50 american for the gift card. in essence paying for it. The $20 accessory credit will get matched by most best buys if you ask nicely. Neither require the mail in rebate. So at best they are the same, worse case is the shack is 20 dinar less.
When you pick up it will cost you 149.99 plus tax (unless you live in Delaware) since youve already paid $50.
I pre-ordered mine on Friday, they told me that's the last day for pre-order.
I see. Thanks ppl.
Anyway, that's good to know.
So basically, I went to buy a $50 gift card and also reserve a phone for free
Now, I will go on 4th June and give the $50 + 150.
Interesting. May be they are doing this just so that ppl won't ask for the refund? Even if ppl ask for it they will have to buy something from Radio Shack for $50 as they won't be getting the refund for that $50!
Good move by RS to increase revenue!
Now the question is, what if I decide to return the phone? Do I have to go to Sprint or Radio Shack?
If I have to go to Radio Shack, will they give me 199+ tax back or just the 149 (no refund on gift card)?
Can someone please explain? IF they are not going to give $50 gift card back then it looks like I have made bad move here!

Not sure about Radio Shack, but when I canceled my pre-order with Best Buy they gave me back my full $53 in cash.
I made sure to ask that when i reserved it. Radio Shack WILL NOT refund the money for the reserve/gift card, if you decide to return the phone they will refund the $150 via cash or card depending on what you paid with. The $50 for the reserve will be returned back to a gift card. So if you dont like the phone your stuck with a $50 Radio Shack gift card.

You haven't got yours yet and you are thinking in return it, may i ask why?
The person that said BB isn't pre-ordering the EVO was probably standing right in front of the display that said they are. The EVO pre-order ad signs were very predominantly displayed in the BB Cellular Departments.
Maybe they have stopped taking pre-orders, I told a few of my buddies last week that a pre-order can be done and upon arriving at BB they were informed that Friday was the last day for pre-orders.
friday was the last day of BBs first wave of preorders. we are now taking orders to be delivered on the 9th, guaranteed unitil the preorder is cut off. any preorders on or before the 21st will be at the store on the 4th for delivery.the stores do not know how many extra they are getting.
I just found out last night Radioshack charges the fulll 199.99 for the phone, well in my case 149.99 because I got the $50 gift certicate. My question is, they can't break it down into payments? Or do I have to buy from Sprint? Ive been approved already for Sprint, so what should I do? Go to Sprint and get the phone or go through radioshack? What should I do about this $50 gift certificate which is non refundable?
any place is going to make you pay the outright price for the phone. There's no payment plans. Maybe if you sign up for a RS credit card you can pay it over a couple months, but then you'll be paying interest on it.
What are you? 12? You need to make payments on 149.99? Work a little harder at your lemonade stand this summer and buy one in September or something, Jesus.
If you can't afford the phone now, you probably shouldn't buy one.

Well, seeing as you already paid $50 for the gift card, I'd go with RadioShack. Anywhere you go, you are going to end up paying for the phone outright, unless you can get a RadioShack credit line.
Not my business what your situation is, that you need to break up $149 into payments, but it kind of reminds me of those people who buy expensive cars, yet live in dumpy houses, and can't afford the insurance or gas.
I will be upgrading and renewing on an AT&T 2 year family contract.
AT&T charge $199 plus $40 upgrade fee.
Best Buy and Costco charge $99 plus the same upgrade fee.
Is there any reason to waste an extra $100 doing this with AT&T?
AT&T Sales support told me there is no difference except in insurance coverage which I wont be taking out.
All warranty issues will be handled by AT&T tech support regardless of where the deal was done.
AT&T said today when I asked them about the $100 price difference "ATT focuses on being a service provider, so our prices aren't always optimum, since we're not a device retailer or manufacturer. I always advise doing what's best consumer wise"
I buy all my phones from best buy and they're great. I don't get insurance either but their insurance plan is better too. Also once you get a phone there they give you a $50 per year credit every year for each of your phone lines.
I always get my phones from best buy. They always have much better deals. I actually did the At&t next through best buy and received a $100 gift card which was a WIN!!! There aren't real disadvantages of going to best buy over the company store honestly. So i'd say save your money and grab it from BB.
Between those two I'd go with BB as well due to their lower price and incentives. Hey, the phone was $99 plus a $50 GC when it launched - can't beat that! I've purchased from Costco as well. They usually have decent prices, and if needed they have a special package for Square Trade as well. Deductible used to be $25 on their member plan, but might be $50 now.
I will never shop at Best Buy unless I absolutely have to. More than once they've sold me something as "new" which clearly had been an opened and used product. I've read quite a bit of other people having the same experiences.

Hello!! I thought my BB Note 4 experience is worth sharing. I preordered on 10/17. That day I asked about trade in of an old Droid 4. I told them I wanted to keep unlimited data and would be paying full price. Was told no problem on trade in for $200 gift card. Tonight, I go in to pick up the phone and they told me since I'm not going to get a new contract, I wont get the $200 gift card. I reminded them of who told me. Here is what they did to come through. They took the droid on a trade for $25. After that they discounted the price $175....No gift card, but a mark down. (I did try to get a Verizon price match, no luck.). I also had a 10% off card that came in a USPS address change kit I received recently for BB, for any one item. They took that, too....at full retail, so another $75 off. I wasnt done. I had a $10 rewards coupon. Took that, too. So, I ended up paying $465 and kept my unlimited data. Can't complain here.
I had a very good experience at Best Buy. Traded my Incredible for the $200 and used a data line with an upgrade due, but son already has a jail broke iPhone he wants to keep using.
They activated the N4 on his line and then put my S4 sim in the N4 and reactivated his iPhone. Did the juggling to keep unlimited data.
My experience initially with best buy was insane. I pre-ordered and went to the store only to find out their "beast" system had the wrong price for the verizon note 4 on the edge plan. It's normally 699, but the system had it for 749. Apparently I was the first person in the country to discover this and they call corporate and they had to update the system which didn't take place until 4pm est.
When I finally got my phone it was good. I got a 200 dollar gift card for trading in my old Galaxy s. I also get a 100 dollar line credit for opening a new line. I also took advantage of the double data plans on their family share plans verizon is offering this month.
All in all good experience. Excellent phone.
Just wish I could block app permissions..

Okay experience for me. They price matched Verizon at $699 and gave me a $200 markdown and told me to keep my trade-in because it was easier for him to do it that way when purchasing at full price. Used BB credit card and now have $48 in points as well.
Best Buy DEBACLE with Note 4 Promotion
I too picked up my Verizon variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 yesterday at my local Best Buy here in Naples, Fl. After doing a considerable amount of research regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 promotion (trade in "ANY" working smartphone and you are guaranteed a $200 rebate***. FINE PRINT - Trade-in value must be at least $10 or more) and then the Best Buy promotion (Trade-in "ANY" working smartphone and receive a $200 gift card. NOTE - Best Buy's definition of "ANY" working smartphone is at THEIR discretion). The whole promotion is a MESS!!!!
I was told by the general manager at my local store they would not accept a BRAND NEW product which was a FULLY functioning LG smartphone because it was not one of their acceptable trade-ins. At this point, I grabbed the counter display and read it word for word back to the GM. He stumbled and mumbled and all he could say was the Best Buy display was not correct and I would not be receiving my rebate ($200 gift card). I asked to speak to an executive at the Best Buy corporate HQ and he was hesitant to give me that number. As I was on the phone with the complaint department with HQ, the GM returns and tells me and the salesperson that apparently Best Buy has royally "screwed the pooch" by their incorrect and vague advertisement.
Long story short. I finally ended up receiving my $200 gift card but apparently at the time it was handed to me, a "panic'd" email had circulated to every Best Buy store in the country . So to all of you that pre-ordered a Galaxy Note 4 from Best Buy....DO NOT take NO for an answer if they tell you that you are not eligible to receive the $200 gift card. Be persistant and demand that they make good on their advertisemet (that is unless they have pulled all of the counter top displays that reads "ANY" working smartphone and does not have a value on it)
BB Experience
I also had a good buying experience at BB yesterday. I picked up the note 4 with the $200 trade in. The process was pleasant, and it took about 3-40 minutes.
We were there at 10 am Sharp, and they hadn't logged in our phones yet, so we never got or arrival pickup emails.
That said, picking them up was fine, except it data was almost maxed, and when I logged into my phone, it went nuts on play auto downloading all my apps. We put it on store WiFi right away, so that cured that issue.
The Samsung rep was great, and we also got 2 each of a Samsung canvas tote, travel mugs, flashlight, and a way cool pen with a pull out note4 feature banner!
We love our bb!
Great experience. Got the $200 trade in credit for an old Droid X2 I had. The bestbuy rep also gave me the additional $50 for your trade in even though the promo expired 10/18
I traded a blackberry tour and got the $200. Kept my iPhone 5 and ended up doing the edge plan. Same as I was paying now but I can upgrade every year. Not too bad.
I managed to get a 200$ gift card for trading in my original droid X. I knew that thing was worth keeping. Its been in a drawer for 3 years.
Went to buy the 4 With Walmart ad for price match on their $40 off deal. Found out Best Buy started deal better. Came out with Note 4 half price.
Glad I waited a little
I dont see this deal anywhere. Is this in-store only?
Not sure. I didn't know about it . My wife went to get it and when she showed the Walmart ad to him he said he had a better deal.
Gave her $150 gift card and let her use it on phone. She called me very happy as was I.
I Was just complaining about my luck the day before because Walnut was sold out.
Turns out that was a blessing!
I did a little searching. You must have gotten them to price match with the Costco deal:

I'm considering doing this today. Did Best Buy allow you to use the gift card on the Note 4 purchase?

Did you post a screen shot cause I don't see anything. Can you explain the deal because I just bought my note 4 from best buy on Monday and didn't get any deal. They price matched Verizon since I paid full price
Tried two Best Buys with no luck. As usual, it seems each Best Buy has their own policy. One BB said they wont price match Costco. The other said it was for new lines only. Did you get this through a new line? I just want to upgrade my line. I kinda wish I didnt goof on missing the trade in deal...

l added a line. 1 had not seen it advertised either. My wife went to pick it up with the Walmart ad and the rep told her he could do that but had something better.
She said he printed out something, then scanned a Barcode off the print out and told her she would get a $150 gift card. He then told her she could use it towards the phone.
I asked her and he never told her what it was he printed out or what. We were just elated it happened.
For reference this was in Valdosta, Georgia.
If needed I will try and post receipt
Hey! I work at Best Buy Mobile! So let me clarify this deal for you guys! It shouldn't have been a price match to WalMart or CostCo. We normally don't match ads with CostCo because you have to pay them for a membership and it isn't a public store, so they're able to afford putting up crazy-ass deals as they do, and we don't match WalMart (in the Mobile department) because almost every single phone is subsidized and the price is set by the carrier for us, so we cannot modify the price because we end up losing whatever difference in price there is as we don't get that refunded to us from the carrier. Also, we do direct contracts with the carriers that we support, unlike Car Toys and CostCo and a few other places which run under third-party contracts.
Not too sure what deal you guys got onto, but for the rest of this week only you will receive a $150 gift card per NEW LINE you start with Verizon right now. Husband and I just upgraded to Note 4s tonight by porting into Verizon from AT&T/T-Mobile and got $300 back in gift-cards, which we used to pay for the deposit that Verizon wanted from me ('cause my credit isn't too good and I was more interested in the Edge program anyway.)
So, what probably happened is that you added a new line, which qualified for the instant gift which is able to be applied toward the cost of the phone (if you're buying it on a 2-year contract, doesn't work toward your device payments via Edge [unless you have to pay a deposit]). Also just so that everyone is aware, if you're on a More Everything Plan, make sure that you're aware that this month there is a promo plan through Verizon where the 10GB plan is going for $80 and $100 for the 15GB plan.
