Hi, recent I purchased this phone, however, I am struggling to unlock (Pattern) most of the times. The lock screen is moving along with the pattern. After 2/3 attempts, it eventually unlocks.
there is a bug in pattern lock. using pin will be more efficient

After some efforts, I found that there is a small trick to unlock it. Place the finger on 1st swipe point for 1 or 2 secs and then start swiping to complete pattern. I am able to unlock with every try using this trick. You can try it..

Welcome bro. Actually, one of my friend who was playing with my new mobile found this trick. Anyways, good that we got some solid work around for now at least.

So I want to use the pattern lock on my Atrix but I hate that I have to slide to unlock, then pattern lock. It should only be one, not both! I've searched but can't find anything. Even tried to use tasker, but couldn't get it to work.
I don't see why you really NEED to bypass the "slide to unlock" thing. I mean it takes an additional what.... half a second? If you want to bypass stuff... why not just use the fingerprint? works even quicker because there's absolutely no wasted sliding required.
I know it only takes an extra half a second. But I look at my phone often and would prefer it not to be that way. I used the fingerprint scanner when I first got it but it wasn't smooth.
So yes I am aware of arguments against, but this is MY PREFERENCE, so if you can help id like to hear.
agree, if you have password, this should be the only unlock

Are you using a home screen replacement like DxTop? If so they often have their own custom lockscreens - check the preferences in your homescreen replacement and the stock android lockscreens - they often don't play nicely together (they do what you're describing, multiple lockscreens)
install nolock. but that will also disable every type of security. since it allows to turn on display with volume buttons, i don't care
you should find it in the settings of the app you're using for the lockscreen
No im not using anything special besides ADW which doesnt have a lockscreen. It just makes me slide to unlock to the pattern lock which I think is stupid.

Have you tried since. 57 ? I turned it off but the update fixed the smoothness. Now the only time it doesn't work for me are if my hands are really dirty from work and I shouldn't be touching my phone anyway

No I didn't update through the SBF, I just tried to check updates on the phone itself and it says I need social networking to update... cuz you know that makes sense.
I don't see the point of having two buttons that can both wake the phone, so how can I stop the home button from doing anything until it's already unlocked?

Just found this, needs root access though:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1702675
Thanks. I'll have to try to see if it's the same deal on my phone when I eventually root it.
Was sure hoping for a solution that didn't require rooting, though.

will it work on our phone?
I've not tried it yet, but will probably give it a go today when I get chance.
Just tried, and yes it does work on the s4 with root access. We only have the one file though, gpio-key.kl. Same location though. Find the line that says home, and delete the word wake. Save changes and reboot, job done!

Thanks bro anyway ... I don't want to use other software like Auto Screen on .... I wish another ways to do it .... but Thanks in advance for ur replies .... bro
Double tap wake does not work with auto screen app listed above? Only pick up phone function works to wake the phone? Which is kind of useless when using fingerprint scanner

Hi guys, I got hold of my nexus 6p today and I've installed a couple of my most used apps. One of those is the NatWest banking app (UK). However whenever I try to sign in, it says that there is another app trying to interfere with it, and FCs. Now I haven't installed any different apps to what I had on my old phone, so I was just wondering if anyone had the same experience?
Also just to confirm I do not have flux or anything like that running!
Thanks,

Running fine on my 6p, make sure you don't get a heads up message, it doesn't like that

I'm having the same issue as you. I also tried disabling now on tap to see if that would fix the issue but it hasn't. On my nexus 5 which I upgraded from I was running all the apps I am now. The only difference is the phone. Any idea from anyone else would be really appreciated.
Mine said that initially I think because a notification came through as I was setting up, did it again and it's fine. Not helpful I know, but it should work.

I had the same issue on my Nexus 6p but I tried disable all the app if possible. That was natwest support answer. But that didn't work for me but what did work is when you press the keys to enter your phone number to activate the app. Each press do it very very slowly. I think that what ever other app or process is interfering with the natwest app stops reading the key presses after a few seconds. That give you enough time to type the rest of the numbers needed start the activation of the natwest app.

Thanks for your advice.
I tried that and I managed to type in the second line by typing a new number every 10 seconds , however when trying to type the first line it always had the pop up at the 4th number! No matter how slow I go! Really frustrating! But at least that's progress!
Right guys I have found out what the issue was! The issue was - the numbers I was typing in a row. For some reason it didn't like me typing 0741. (The start of my number). I found a way around this by typing out the rest of the phone number then adding the bit it didn't like afterwards! And it worked! I've managed to get on the app now!
E.g
If your number is 1234567890
Type like 124567890 then add the 3 after!
Hope that helps!

Glad to hear that you managed to get the app activated, it's a very strange thing that my number also start 0741. Surely it's not that nos series that is causing the issue. Very very strange. Hopefully the Nat west support team will see our tips in the xda developers. :fingers-crossed:

That's alright. Glad to help. How bizarre that so far we only know its due to 0741... Would be interesting to see if its affecting any other numbers?

Stock Android already had facial recognition feature in built. Just follow the steps. Settings>security> smart Lock> trusted face. You are good to go. Do hit the thanks button if it helped.
Face unlock is available since lollipop era. I've tried the feature again on my a1, and it is as fast as the one plus 5t, except the 5t automatically goes to home screen as soon as face detected.

Yes and same applies for the 5t. That's why the 5t face id can't be use for payments or transactions.

Moreover u are wanting it to be like the op5t , but currently it's like iPhone x which is also cool right.?

OnePlus is using face detection from smart lock for 5T's face unlock. So there is a possibility that someone may bring this feature to get work for other devices as well. Just wait till the developers work on this.

It's true that it can't be unlocked with a picture but there are ways to bypass that. If you really own the device then try clicking your own pic at the same moment you register then you may unlock it. I didn't try it but it can be done maybe

Ok i for a app called auto input on playstore . This thing did what you want. This app swipes up after face gets recognised. Used it on Mi a1 works perfectly. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joaomgcd.autoinput
Anyone mind sharing the faceunlock.apk ? I tried it with a newer version manually, but now it just crashes. That's why I need the original again.
