Hi there!
It`s always been hard to find specific stuff for our SGP551 variant, so i uploaded my prerooted flashable zip for anyone who wants to move to Lollipop without losing root and recovery.
It's the STOCK 23.4.A.0.546 firmware with SuperSU v2.46 and [NUT]`s Dual Recovery 2.8.21.
Let`s get to it.
1- You have to be rooted and with working recovery.
2- Copy the flashable zip to your internal memory or microsd card and reboot to recovery. (i used TWRP recovery with the file on internal memory)
3- Do a factory reset and install the zip file.
4- Reboot system and you're done.
The first boot took about 10 minutes...

I am not responsible for devices this process works for my device moto g asia retail ..... Try this at your own risk
hey,
Chill everyone: while flashing twrp , custom recovery it seems mismatch of partition file ...... everyone donot use twrp who has posted in previous threads or donot flash devices with minimal ADB and fastboot through C: storage
You all need to Flash the custom recovery only through Platform tools from SDK
Then Download the latest TWRP file
After that Download supersu v2.46 then install into your device
Finally your device is rooted in Lollipop 5.1
bro, please tell step by step how to do it along with link to the required files.
Thanks

Requirements
Moto G Running lollipop 5.1 (incase you are on 5.0.2 or a custom rom search the forum for 5.1 firmware and flash it by the guide attached with them)
Twrp image From the official site or our xda forum
adb drivers
unlocked bootloader
CF-autoroot (you can find it anywhere on google)
First start your phone to the bootloader and run cf autoroot (this will root your 5.1 lollipop device)
second boot you phone and check for supersu then install flashify from appstore
third paste the twrp.img to you phone and select recovery from flashify and give it root permission
you are done flashify will install the custom recovery and you will also be rooted
(incase you are on the locked bootloader follow the steps to unlock bootloader from the other threat in moto g's xda forum
It worked perfectly. Thanks for sharing.
Give the link of twrp .img file of xt1033 (and pls dont give the link of xt1032)
Thanks
For rooted users with TWRP recovery-
- Boot into TWRP recovery
- Flash the complete signed flashable zip of your current oxygen OS
- Flash new OTA incremental update zip
- If you need root access then Flash the SuperSU zip
Done!

That's a trick that i found and i want to share, because i think that lot of users can't root or move to a custom rom. I think is that we try to unlock bootloader on 4.4.4 and hits an error back. (Tell me if there is a solution for this)
Thats My Trick1) First of ALL Use Iroot , kingroot (previously vroot) to root the phone
2) instal Flashify (for root users) from market
Go to Recovery image -> Download twrp -> Moto g 2013 -> 2.8.6.0
Flash it
!!!!! You have got recovery!!!!!
---->>> Root SuperSu
3)Go to kingroot Setings-> unroot
4)Uninstall kinguser (thanks to it)
5)copy root to sdcard Example : chainfire SuperSU zip
6)Boot into bootloader-> Recovery
flash root via twrp or
flash any rom(not tested)
I wish i help some with that trick... And sory for my bad english
It looks like lot of people are trying to install the lastest SuperSU flashable zip through TWRP and they are being stuck at the bootloader screen.
The issue is in the SuperSU updater script , which can't detect the system and is trying to install root in system mode (it should use systemless mode)
For those users who are stuck at bootloader logo after flash supersu, is necessary to reflash stock rom and flash this SuperSU:
View attachment SuperSU-v2.78-201609011115_systemless.zip (I've edited the updater-script to force systemless install :angel
After flash this (updated to 2016-09-01), all updates can be installed directly from the store
