Total noob question but I'm just wondering...
I saw my son's stock S4 mini received a security update 2 weeks ago. I'm guessing that's the keyboard swipe bug that was uncovered. Since my S4 is rooted and Knox is disabled will I get the update? When I try to do a security update it tells me I'm up to date. Like I said. Just wondering.

So the i9301i received a new security update finally after 2 years with no updates whatsoever. The S3 Neo that I have is rooted with CWM and supersu, will that security update most likely brick my phone? because I had to use a root app just to change the phone's status to 'official'.
As usual since I'm on a factory unlocked S5 I have no access to OTA updates and the Samsung update software is worthless acting like no updates ever. Anyhow, I can't find anyone posting the stock 6.0 file to sideload or Odin. Would someone mind directing me to one or link one? Decided to go with it since ATT released it a week ago according to the change log on August 26th.
I just searched this forum so if I somehow missed it please accept my apologies. Anyway, on both my own and my wife's AT&T GS7E when I tell it to check for updates it says I am up to date. However when I go to the About Device section of both phones it's on 6.0.1 with a security patch level of February 1, 2016. So correct me if I'm wrong--but if we bought these in early March this means neither one has EVER taken an OTA update, right? If so, why does the device say that everything is up-to-date?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Call AT&T tech support. They can probably push the missing updates to your phones.
I had a similar issue with updates stuck on February update I tried everything including factory resetting and cache clearing I finally had to go to my local Best Buy Samsung experience and have them force the update they were able to load the July update and 2 days later it automatically pulled the August update; that ended up fixing it.
This probably the only way to fix your issue.

You're going to have to flash the unlocked firmware for the G935U via ODIN. Works like a charm if you don't use the At&t network
Hello XDA Community,
Ever since I got my Samsung Galaxy S7 (G930A) it hasn't gotten a OTA update. I have 4 family members with the same phone purchased the same date and they are all up to date with their software. I have tried updating it using the normal process Settings>About Device>Check for software updates and it always tells me that "Current software is up to date". There most be something wrong with my phone, is there a fix for this type of problems? My phone is currently on Android 6.0.1 Build #: MMB29M.G930AUCS2APH1. I would like to update it since I have an outdated security patch etc. I would like to gain root access but I just read that with root samsung pay can not be used, can anyone confirm this? I have rooted phones before, just haven't done it in a while. Any help, suggestions and recommendations are welcome.
Thank you in advance

Take it to a Samsung rep in Best buy, they'll updated it.
Is there anyway that I can perform the update with my PC? I see the stock ROMs available on here but they all required root. Is there any stock ROMs that don't require root?
Thank you
I went to Best buy and they updated me to QE1. They did not have QF3 yet. Whole process took 5 mins though
Hello everyone. I ve updated manually at february my galaxy s8+ with crap update. But since then i havent received any OTA update. Is there a problem with the update i made or samsung hasnt released anything since then? Because the instructions where saying that OTA updates will be received fine.
