There's a firmware for United Arab Emirates on SamMobile, why not flash that one? Assuming with UEA you meant United Arab Emirates, but the actual region code (in Kies) is one listed on SamMobile for that country, right?
I have a G900H with THR code, meant for Iran, but there's no firmware available for that device, so I'm not sure if I can flash another country or will automatically end-up with a bricked device?

Guys, just last week I faced the same problem..
My mistake was in choosing correct Region. Then I found my country code (TML), simply move the cursor in Region list, and it'll display country name..

If you can get Kies to connect, it should give you 3 codes, all starting with G900H. Mine where XXXU1... HOJV1... XXXU1... I then downloaded a firmware with the same initial codes, mostly the HOJV1 seemed to matter. Followed by country code in parenthesis. Might be worth checking if the country code matches your actual country? It seems matching CSC image version (HOJV1 in my case which was available in many countries) is enough to get a successful flash.

Coming from a Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505 (rom was before Knox, yay!)) I guess I'm spoiled for info. I didn't quite expect it to be this sparse. :-/
Only 2 threads concerning rooting and installing recovery on the SM-G870F..
Even though I've been here for almost a decade, I still find it unsettling every time i have to fiddle with the firmware.
And even more so, when Samsung is threatening with all sorts of evil (which btw by law, doesn't ruin my guarantee where I live).
So thanks guys! I'm now rooted (Chainfire -Towelroot doesn't work) and have made a backup with TWRP.

Post a feedback when you're done
I confirm that twrp-2.8.7.0-klte ( galaxy S5 international version) works without problem on S5 Active ( SM-G870F).
You can not install this custom recovery direct from TWRP Manager from GooglePlay but installing is possible through Odin.
It was very hard to get any information and find clear experience about possible custom recovery for this model (SM-G870F). But thanks for you guys, it actually works now on my phone. :good:
Looking for Safestrap for SM-870W
Hi All,
After some research, I found that Samsung S5 Active (Bell (Canada) Mobility) has a locked bootloader
so I cannot install CWR or TWRP customer recovery. So I guess it Safestrap for me. But I can only find
Safestrap for either AT&T or Verizon http://www.mediablog.us/download-install-safestrap-recovery-verizon-galaxy-s5-sm-g900v-att-galaxy-s5-sm-g900a/
Can I use either one of them on my device? My intention is to load Koolkit ROM but I need to figure
out first how can I install Safestrap on my phone.
Any help, advise or suggestion is appreciated.
Thank you.

Bro as i said you don't need that and it doesn't matter what is your firmware build number or what is your baseband number. All you need is a specific file for your mobile like CF root for s3 or S3 neo or s4 etc ok and if any thing matters is that your mobile variant number and yours GT-I9301I.

Unable to flash any rom

Hello guys,
After changing my phone's mainboard (gt-i9505) because of the signal issues, I cannot flash any roms on the 2nd mainboard. Well, the only one that worked, was a 4.3 google edition version, but because of the battery drain, I tried to flash a differnt rom. I tried sever official versions 4.3, 4.4.2. 5.0.1, but stucks at "installing applications" screen. Tried to flash Albe95 S6 FULL PORT 4.7, installation completes, but when I try to set the phone for the first time, the touch does not work. Tried also to flash pit file along with a stock firmaware, no success.
Could you please advise how to solve this?
Devices is rooted and I flashed Philz recovery 5.
Thanks!
Deleted. Sorry.
Are you sure the new board is from a GT-I9505?

Odin stops after trying to flash aboot.mbn because you are trying to flash a ROM that contains a bootloader that is older than the bootloader on the phone or the bootloader in the ROM is not compatible with the phone.

Unfortunately yes. You can only install the firmware specific for sm n900v. Else you buy a new n9005.
