Hey all, haven't been able to find an answer for this. So I'll open a new thread. Now the question. The phone seems to take a long time to charge. Is it possible for me to use my Note 4's quick charger or can anyone recomend a faster charger for this phone? Charging it with Note 4's 2a charger wont damage the battery? Thank you.
I use a 2.1 out and it charges in about an hour and a half
Charging isn't fast and it seems that if the phone gets warm, it draws less power then too - so on a warm day, it can feel like it's taking years.
Would have been nice to have had wireless charging support and/or turbo charging, but alas not.

Doesn't the phone support quick charging? But Huawei haven't bundled the appropriate charger?
Doesn't appear to. I've got a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 adapter and it doesn't seem any faster, nor say fast charging.
There's a quirk, when the battery shows 100% it actually still keep charging for another 30 minutes. All tests showed that it took 3hours+ to fully charge it. So quick charge my ass.
So just to update, I have tried charging it with note 4's fast charger and it charges the phone from 20 to 100% in about an hour and a half. Which imo isn't that bad. With the included charger, it took me around 2 and a half hours... Huawei really should have included a charger with higher amp, 1 is way to low.

It's sadly very common for phones to ship with poor chargers (1A and even lower), but then again - some phones these days come with NO charging adapter, assuming you'll have a ton of them anyway.
I use a 2.1A 5V charger, but I've tried the faster ones (that can output 9V) and it doesn't speed things up, so while it can charge faster with a better PSU, it won't ever charge as quick as many other flagships. Mind you, has the G4 been given full support yet? Likewise, the Z3 is down as supporting Quick Charge 2.0 on Qualcomm's website, but then turns out to be only some variants. Makes me wonder if the Z3+ supports it in every guise.
Not sure what the reasoning is for devices that could support faster charging not actually allowing it, especially if the manufacturer could profit from selling faster chargers separately.

I read an article about Huawei declining fast-charge for "battery-purposes" so it can have a longer life cycle. But i think Huawei made an exception about the Huawei Honor 7.
I had an Samsung before and never had problems with fast-charging whatsoever.
My P8 was full in about 2 hours with an 2.1 A charger, while my Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 took 1,5 hours.
the screenshoot took from Huawei P8 & P8 Max Launching Event 2015 said that p8 has quick charge at min 21.30 but they didnt talk about that in the event

Here's a quick charger for the Huawei P8 : http://www.amazon.com/Adaptive-Charger-Charging-voltages-charging/dp/9713256832
I did not buy it, but it says it charges at 9V 2.1A

I think this adaptor isn't safe to p8max.. I will try another charger but only 5v with higher amp that will be safe for sure
Now i charge with stock from 3%to100% in about 2.5 h and the phone didn't tell me to remove charger for more half ahour!!

I dont know, its 9V 2.1A, so it is quick charge. But i dont know if it is for MAX. I can charge fast. maybe 1.5h/2h?
To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.

and?
the included charger is standard 5V/2A, not eve QC 1.0, let alone QC 4.0 (SDM660 support QC 4.0).
3 hours on 2A charger. On turned off tablet after self power off after discharging it.
Mine does not even charge in QC mode, even using Xiaomi's own 25W QC adapter. That adapter works with Moto Z Play (it does QC2.0 on Moto). Could it be due to using vendors' ROM?
only PLUS variant got QC, but it's only QC 2.0...

even with a proper QC3 (and QC2) charger, charging the MiPad 4 plus is not really fast. Compared to my Mi Note 3, it appears to take forever - at least 4 hours, and that's not even from 0% battery. Of course, also the battery is much bigger, but it shouldn't take soooo long.
The best charging time is minimum 6h . When I go sleep I connect it to power and when I stand up at morning I have it loaded without overchage problem. I will have to use old charger from old smartfon for it.

Full charge 0-100% is max 3 hours. Stock charger.
I'm using the Google pixel 3xl charger and I can confirm that it charges at 18w

the mobile loads faster than I expected and also lasts a lot I could do 7 hours of connected screen and 34 hours to the total
As I thought the Lenovo z5 pro gt is the upgraded version of Lenovo g5p Pro. Both smartphones are nearly the same in terms of battery charging and hardware quality, The battery charging of Lenovo z5 pro gt is slightly more than that of z5 pro and it lasts longer. However, Mechanical camera is the selling point in Z5 pro gt.
It takes in 12 volts. Supports Quick Charge 4.0. Fully charged in 1 hour 10 minutes.

Same with me 70-72 minutes
-Very fast because of 3.350 mAh battery
from 40% to 100% need 1 h
-But very hot the back warms up to 45ÂșC
I checked and it supports including Power Delivery2.0 18W Type-C to Type-C.
At least ZUI runs both PD3.0 and QC4.0+.
Only QC 36W works on crDroid v6.4

Can any1 tell me how much time he need to fully charge note10 (not plus). From 10-15% to 100% i need more than a hour and 20min with stock charger, and just 3min more with charger from s8. Friend fully charge n10+ in about hour with stock charger and he have 800mAh bigger battery.
I have exynos n10View attachment 4818513View attachment 4818514

I confirm your conclusions. I have NOTE 10+ and the charging time is also about 1 hour. At the same time, my wife has a NOTE 10 model, and her phone charges in about 1 hour 20 minutes. This really looks a little strange because:
1. The Note 10+ battery has a capacity greater than Note 10.
2. Both phones have the same EP-TA800 charger!
It seems strange, but it is.
@iOr_s tnx for sharing. And yeah...and I'm pissed because of that! Bouth selling as fast charge capable but for note 10 that doesn't woark!!
Someone should tell this to samsung mobile division! I don't know on which address to write

Note 10 has fast charging! Please go to Setting ... - Fast cable charging and unmark it. After that charging time will be changed for both models. In this case Note 10 charges in 3 hours instead of 1 hour 20 minutes. So Note 10 has fast charging mode as Samsung declared it.
Another thing is that fast charging is realized in Note 10 plus much more efficiently, include super fast charging of 45 watts.

@iOr_s yeah it have, but not fast as note10+, that's the point! Note+ can utilize 25w charger that came in box, note10 not (about the same charging speed with old 15w and new 25w chargers).

Ok, so with my new 45w USB C to C wall charger from 0 to 100 takes an hour, flat! no frills. no lies.
Galaxy Note 10+. 45watt Super Fast Wall Charger, directly from Samsung with the $150 credit. I would suggest getting a few of these to carry around with you wherever you go. Now you know how long it takes to go from 0 to 100.

Yes, great, congrats!
But that cannot help our friend @Proday. Note 10 does not support 45W fast charging.
By the way, the charging time for Note 10 Plus using the EP-TA800 adapter is also about 1 hour.
And on the side, it is much easier to carry the compact EP-TA800 with you wherever you go, than 45W fast charger
@iOr_s yeah, that is eaven better if you (and my neighbor here) have same charging time with 25w as user with 45w [emoji849][emoji56]

In fact, there is a slight time difference. It is approximately 15 minutes ).
On the one hand, it makes up 25-30% (!!!) of the total charging time. But on the other hand, it's only about 15 minutes
And for me personally this is not so important. And for this reason I have not bought a 45W charger yet
Horrible battery life for the note 10 , need to charge the device twice a day, not acceptable

Hi, since we are talking abt charging, I have one on Wireless.
The included Note 10+ power adaptor (EP-TA800) cannot FAST Wireless Charge when connected to my 2 older Wireless charger stands (EP-NG930, EP-PG950) [only Standard, slow Wireless Charging]... BUT if I swap out the 25W adaptor with an older unit (EP-TA20UWE), I CAN Fast Wireless Charge with both above-said charger stands.
My question: Is this normal per Samsung's current support for only USB PD & dropping of AFC charging standard (read this somewhere but not fully across the technical implications of this)? i.e.- I will need a new wireless charging stand in order to FAST wireless charge with provided 25W adaptor?
Bit of a bummer if true since that's like Samsung abandoning our older accessories. Appreciate any inputs u might have. Tks.

Got a response from Samsung today. They confirmed that the included 25W adapter will not enable Fast Wireless Charging on older Samsung stands for reasons associated with power & voltage regulation. That means if Fast Wireless charging is important to you, you'll have to pony up and get one of the new Samsung stands.

Of course that you need to pay for new! But it is eaven worse when you pay for something that doesn't work (25w on note10)!

Sorry to hear that! Which brings me to the point of being more transparent about adoption of new standards (and what legacy ones are dropped).. right? Fast Wireless charging on older stands not supported... okay, maybe not such a big deal but you'd think they'd be a little more upfront about it instead of giving us the big run around.
To answer yr Q- I contacted them via Live Chat on Samsung Members app, then they called me back.

I have 2 dual stands wireless chargers from Samsung. 1 is 10W and the other is 15 W. They BOTH show fast charging for me. They both came with their own power adaptors out of the box. The 10W comes with the adaptive fast charging, and the 15W came with the same 25W charger that the Note 7 was able use. Did you lose your adaptor?

Hello guys and owners of 5G variant of Mi MIX 3.
Can owners assure me, that this phone supports wireless charging?
And also, since it has SD 855 which supports quick charge 4+, will it charge faster with 27W charger, while in the box is 18Watts?
I'm planning to buy another wall charger, so why buy 18Watts, when i can buy 27Watts, unless it will not charger faster.
Looking forward for your answers. Thank you!

It seems to only support 18W but I'll try later with a faster charger. Also the 5G variant does not have wireless charging (lots of places online says it does, but my Europe Mi Mix 3 5G doesn't support it and the Xiaomi website doesn't mention it). I assume it's to make space for the bigger battery.
Thank you for your reply. And also, looking forward for your findings about faster charger

I had a look at the fast charger. It appears to be just 18W (With a 50W Anker charger it dosen't charge and faster). I tried to root the phone to look at the wattage the phone was receiving but I installed the wrong recovery and messed up the phone software so I'm not 100% sure about the charging  - I'll probably give it another go tomorrow.
Mi mix 3 5G has no wireless charging
Hello guys,
I own the Mi mix 3 5G and the phone has no wireless charging.
But the wired charging is very fast enough to easily stand in the night with 20% battery life in a day with all function max only stands 12 hours.
Did you manage to get a new 27w charger?
Hey.im using the black shark 2 27w charger with mine and it works very well ......very fast
