You have to modify MixerPaths in system/etc. In Speaker audio, headset for in call volume, and headphones. Change the values from about 80, adding 2 or 3 and test, then repeate the operation.(If you modify drastically a value, you can broke speaker or headphones.

It didnt work unless for the speaker volume its different line then :RX7 Digital Volume value=83 (increased to 95). Volume level is still the same after reboot

There is a thread in one of this devices sections that works just fine and has a few options available

Adjust A2DP Volume from phone?

Did a search, but "A2DP Volume" returns mainly headset reccomendations etc.
Just got a Altec lansing T515. Bargain at just £15 inc p+p!
Paired up fine with the HD2 and seems to work great so far (for the price).
My only dissapointment is that the volume controls on the phone do nothing to the volume of the headset/speakers.
I was really planning on getting some good use out of this wireless audio through a better amp and speakers but would really need to be able to use the HD2 as a remote control (Inc volume control).
Is there an app/utility/reg hack that will let me adjust the A2DP volume directly on the HD2???
Any and all advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
try it with windows media player and not the htc sense music player
Thanks mate, tried that.... same deal (almost).
When I adjust the volume inside WMP it still does nothing to the volume of the speaker/headset BUT when I press the mute button or lower the vol to 0% the sound on the BT Speaker DOES mute.
Also at one point I did get some funky 'pairing' problem where the wireless volume was changing using the HD2 volume rocker but the sound quality was terrible. Not sure what happened but I switched off/on bluetooth and when the devices paired again - the sound was back to good quality but the volume no longer worked.
Can anyone please confirm that I should be able to control the volume using the HD2 on ANY A2DP headset/speaker?
I'm currently using EnergyRom Maxsense 23xx 24th July.
Might switch to the 21July 23121 CHT ROM instead to see if that changes things.
But can anyone first please confirm that this SHOULD be working? or let me know of a regHack /cab/app I need to use or apply to get this 'remote volume' working?
Anyone help on this ^^^ please?
Same problem here with expensive Sony headset and reasonably priced JVC. Report it to HTC as a fault. No fix yet afaik
hmm well im getting my jaybird sportsband in a few days through mail, ill report in on if they work or not
This problem i have with all my bluetooth headsets ( i have had 3 ) and also have with the altec lansing soundblade (a bluetooth speaker - really cool)
the problem is that the volume control in software only effects the audio drive,a but A2D2 driver is on a different path so not affected.
For me has not been a problem because volume is always outputted at max via A2D2 and then i use volume control on the headsets or the speaker to reduce as required.
But i see if you have a headset without volume control then this can be a major problem.
Only method i did find to adjust volume via software was install SRSwow and in the options it is having 2 gain settings, input and output. Adjusting these does affect A2D2 volume.
I know its not a fix but it is a work around that may be usefull untill someone has a better option for you
Thanks very much for your input peeps!
rumpleforeskin: (Funniest name Ive seen all week lol)
Sounds like its not just a problem with my headset/speaker (or headset / ROM combo).
Ive got volume controls (which do work) On the headset adapter and on the speaker, but I REALLY want/need to be able to control volume remotely as I was planning to link the adapter to an amp without a remote control.
Looks like SRSWow might be the solution for now....I'll give it a try and report back tonight.
Thanks again for all your help chaps.
I actually fear this could be a demonstration the output audio is hardware wired and not software driven, thus meaning full incall recording will never be possible.

doubt it man, on the iphone 3gs on 3.0 u couldnt switch the volume of the headset through the phone but now with the 4.0 software u can , so its just a case of misssing software.
I use tcpmp and I can control the volume from the software while using my BT headsets (peltor)

Tried this ^^^, Works great for everything, thanks!
Only slight problem is a ~4 second lag between adjusting the volume and the change in actual volume.
Dont suppose there is any tweak to remedy this??
Thanks again for the help.

Make it LOUDER Rogers GS4

I have been searching like crazy to find a volume booster. I have been through rooting my phone, installing cyenogenmod, attepting wicked ROM, attempting Gummy ROM. Soft bricking my phone, flashing back to stock and have it rooted again. Just looking to boost the volume on my SGH-I337M.
Here is why it is important to me. Its great and all that Samsung wants to protect my hearing, however, I use my headphone jack as an aux out to play music for high energy fitness classes!! Some stereos at gyms that I go to are tuned down lower, and even at max my phone doesn't make it all loud enough for a good class! I even bought a separate walkman MP3 player, but it ended up going through the wash. Someone help!
THANKS!!
Try different kernels, rather than stock. Some have volume boosters - Ktoonz, and Adam are two that come to mind.
Consequently, I'm looking for the opposite - Increase vibration.....can't find anything that will do.....Ktoonz is wound up to 125 and
it still doesn't do the trick.

Check in to this, helps increase sound quality and loudness.Viper4Android
You'll need root and you'll need to install the driver upon opening the app then make your wanted sound changes.
Anything like this for a vibration mod? Make it stronger?

This. If you just want louder music, install Viper4Android, press menu in viper settings, select UI setting, change to Expert, then go all the way down to the bottom and change gain to 6Db
Update. Hell yeah!!! Viper works amazing. I finally improved the one and only thing that pisses me off about Samsung phones! There were some things to work through, but this will improve my classes for sure! Get the studio bumpin! Thanks again guys

What's the line of the handset in mixer_paths.xml?

I want to increase the incall volume of the handset/earpice (whatever you call it) but i cant find the value of it in the mixer_paths.xml file
If you have another way to do so, i will glad to know how. Since sounds mod dont work with dorimanx kernel (which im using), i cant boost the handset volume and its too low, i always ask people on the other side to speak louder

It's < CTL name= RX 1 Digital Volume value= 60
But I don't think that changing it will help I'm pretty sure that dorimax kernel will prevent it from actually increasing the volume no matter what you set the volume at but hey it's worth a try
My suggestion would be to switch to simple kernel and use my all volumes booster mod which can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2769799
And simple kernel which can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701704

I really appreciate your work, but i cant give up on battery life and smooth operating phone for louder in-call earpiece volume, so i think i will stick with dorimanx.
Anyways, i tried changing the earpiece volume in build.prop but it didnt work, and you are saying that changing the mixer_paths.xml wont help either, so you have any other solution?

Sorry I wasn't saying it won't work it's just that I don't think it'll work you can give it a try and see no harm no foul but besides that t the only other things I could suggest is trying these apps first try viper4android which I highly recommend and second volume plus app
But V4A cant boost the in-call volume,it only affects speaker, headphones jack and bluetooth or usb i dont remember. Im using this app, its great, but i cant find any eariece option

How to boost the speaker volume with mixer path edit

Been looking to boost the loundspeaker such as it is found some guides about editting lines in mixer_path.xml, only thing is my file does not have the values that the guides have which is why I asking the question, anybody know how to boost the volume of the loudspeaker ? I know the risks about blowing the speaker so did not want to just add the lines that I found, any advice or an app that is known to boost the loudspeaker ? Thanks in advance
Nobody knows? Or is everyone happy with the loudspeaker volume?
Have tried a few volume boost apps but they don't cut the mustard
I know you can use Kodi for video and audio files and it has an option to boost volume. You can even get a youtube plugin for those of you like. As for app and games no idea.

Hi, if I may, the answer to a louder sound from built-in speaker, as my colleagues have posted can be achieved by Volume Booster, from omega Centauri, a gemini from an reader app they make. Note that to avoid damage it only boost mid frequencies, avoiding bass and high treble. The quality lowers. So, kernels like Perseus, Devil, Shift, I could name the majority, have customized the approach with algorithms that have names like Boeffla, Faux and many others important, that are drivers lile ALSA for Linux or kernel mode WDM for W. And now try a Note 2 N 7100/7105 with and without Boeffla and all will become clear, specially the effort of developers that we admire. Congrats. :fingers-crossed: sorry for the bad english included.
Thanks all for the suggestions, none of them give me a boost that makes it louder through the speaker, , I also forgot that you can boost the system volume with Viper4Android(which boosts the speaker volume fine on my other device a oneplusone), this also does not work on the Nexus 7,I will have to just live with the low speaker volume as I cannot get it any louder

AOSP mic volume

Hi, I have ran into this problem when I installed JDCTeam's AOSP 7.1.2 rom for my I9505. The sound quality of videos is great but when I record Whatsapp or Messenger voice message the volume is really low and can barely hear it. I tried fixing it using the sliders in STweaks but only made the camera volume distorted and had no effect on voice recording in Messenger and Whatsapp. Any ideas?
Thank!
I believe you can adjust stuff by modifying values in the mixer_paths.xml file.
Don't ask me what to modify or where it is located, I have never done it myself so I have no experience with it.
I looked it up and had the speaker volume or whatever it was called at 70 and people said I should not go over 70 ..

But you're not looking to increase speaker volume, you're looking to increase the microphone gain and I'm pretty sure there must be some string that controls it.
Ss
I think problem is videocall uses bottom mic. Top mic didnt use by whatsapp or etc. Increase mic settings by stweaks wont work.
I finally tried using mixer_paths but didn't work. Any other ideas?
